Excellent experience. I spilled some water on my iPhone 4 while it was charging and didn't realize it. When I found it, my phone wouldnt charge up. I tried drying it out and keeping it shut off, but after a day it still wouldn't charge. I took it in to Direct Repair and they said they would take a look at it to see if they could fix it and give me an estimate of how much it would cost. I went to lunch, got their call, and they said it would be $45 to repair the charging port. That was $20-30 cheaper than the other places I looked at online. Went in to get my cracked iPhone 4 screen fixed, using the yelp-deal for this place it cost me $55. I walked around the neighborhood for about 40 min, and when I came back the screen was fixed and phone seemed to work fine. However, later that day and the day after, my phone started acting up, shutting down randomly and and not charging properly. Restoring the phone didn't work. I went back to the store, the guy there was nice and helpful, and after about an hour and a half or so, he had changed some parts and fixed my phone. Now it works perfectly! This place fixed my iPhone 4S shattered screen in 30 minutes, and with the Yelp deal, it only cost $60. Compared to Apple which can only replace it for $200, or other third party vendors which replaces it for $125, this is the fastest and most inexpensive place to go - and the service there is really friendly! Shattered my iphone screen, and I mean shattered, but these guys were able to fix it in about 20 mins. Only cost $60 which is great compared to the $99 I was quoted by another repair store in Chicago or the $200 I was quoted by Apple. Service was super quick! Customer service was great. Screen on my iphone 4 was completely shattered. I was told it would take 30-40 minutes to repair but they were finished in 15 minutes. I also love my color change. The only reason why I did not give five stars is because my signal/connection on my phone sucks now and my front facing camera pics comes out blurry. Direct Repair was kind, fast and courteous. But if you have an iphone, don't replace the screen! Both me and a friend fixed cracked screens with them and both phones worked initially until the screens faded out and then totally died. It is not worth the money when ultimately you need a new phone. Don't do it! read more

I brought my phone to them a couple of hours after I cracked the screen. It was on my way home and with a yelp deal, I was able to get it fixed without spending too much. The original iPhone 4s screen had a yellow tint that hurt my eyes, but theirs has the cool blue tint I prefer. It took only 30 minutes to repair and good as new! read more

I had a great experience getting my laptop keyboard replaced at Direct Repair. I had already bought the replacement keyboard elsewhere (long story), so they put it in the same day I brought it to the shop! Got my cracked iphone 5 screen fixed here and it looks like new. Best price I could find and it was done in about 10 minutes.

Had a cracked nexus 7 2nd gen screen. Got it replaced here for $115. Had an issue with unresponsive areas on the screen and they were helpful in replacing it again. Same issues with the new screen, have to restart often to get the screen to work reliably. The reviews of the place are high and the customer service is good, the screens for nexus 7 just aren't up to par with the original manufacturer's. read more
