I had the Smokey Mezcal drink, can't remember the drink but it was amazing! We went on a Monday and it was very empty but expected.

Bartender said their speciality is Jack Daniel's and rock n roll! This bar gives dive rock bar vibes. The bartenders are friendly and the music selection takes you back to early 2000's.

It's a fun and funky bar right across from House of Blues, so perfect for an after concert drink. The decor makes me think of pirates with the lantern candles dangling from the ceiling and the skeletons around the room. My friend and I found a comfy booth to sit in, and she ordered our drinks at the bar. The drinks were good, and we had a good time.

Dirt Bar is located right across the street from The House of Blues and seems to be the before and after event hangout. Recently, I've attended more and more shows at HOB and there is only a handful of places to pregame right next to the venue. This place is dark. Even in the daylight hours it's dark. To keep up with the dark theme, they have a giant skeleton as well as other spooky decorations. The music when I have been has always been some heavy metal played at the highest volume setting. Maybe I'm getting old, but I would like to see and hear when I hang out somewhere. Customer service was good. The bartenders are always pleasant. In my opinion, the drinks are ok but kind of high priced for what you get. Just within a stones throw from here, you have some pretty amazing cocktail bars that sells their drinks for similar prices. Dirt bar does have specials, so keep an eye out for those. I'm sure I'll be back at some point.

Full bar and they sell cigarettes. Bartenders are all nice! Opens until 2am. Great music!

Drinks were strong bartenders were on point and a dark metal vibe! A nice alternative to the rest of stuff downtown.

So I'm going to preface some reviews I'm about to write with the following: My brother & I were on a road trip from St. Petersburg, FL to Fort Worth, TX. These are the places we hit along the way. They are also in my Yelp! list here: https://www.yelp.com/list/fl-to-tx-road-trip-2018-houston (or in any of the reviews written for the trip). I can't decide if I should give this dive bar homage by rating it 5 stars, or honor it with a dive down rating of 1 star. On the one hand, it's a great dive bar. It's also right across the street from the House of Blues, so if you can't handle Dirt, you have another option, close at hand, for liquid libation. Dirt is dark. Not in the emotional sense, but the literal. It's an open, cavernous, space, with the bar in the middle of said space. Our bartender was friendly and efficient. So as I write these words I just remembered something, we were charged for ICE. So if you want your liquor on the rocks, be prepared for an up charge. So should I take away a star? Nah, just another aspect of the dive bar. Bottom line: At first I thought they only had one, gender neutral bathroom. The I learned the pipes had frozen and one restroom was closed. We were there during that freak winter storm that hit the south.

Just a dim lit bar. Nothing special. Two TVs for sports. Not much seating around circle bar (the only bar). So getting a drink takes a while. $7.25 for a single Tito's and sprite.

We were in town for National Athletic Trainer Convention. This was near the hotel within a short walk. Found a gem of a place here. Veronica and her teammates did a super awesome job! I never had to wait to place my order. My final tab was accurate. The prices were not outrageous. I always was served with a pleasant smile. Needless to say if I am in the are again I am definitely making a stop in The Dirt Bar. Drinks were super cold and Service was awesome. The staff should be commended! Cheers til next time. Respectfully, Bryan OKC

The dining room is chic and feels very upscale but comfortable with a large open fire kitchen that was really fun to watch while dining. They were very on top of service with both our dining captain and waiter checking on us throughout the evening. For appetizers we ordered the deviled crabs, tuna tostada and wood roasted carrots. All were great but I especially loved the carrots which were cooked and seasoned perfectly. For my main course I had the chicken and dumplings, husband got the NY strip, our friends shared the whole fish and we had the cabbage and crab rice as sides. Everyone was very happy with both their main courses and the side dishes. We were too stuffed to order dessert but they sent out a s'mores inspired sunday for my birthday which was both thoughtful and sublime. Overall we were very impressed with our meal. Food was delicious but veeeery indulgent. We will be back.

We were greeted by three different people - one that took our drink order, one that cleared our plates, and one that took our order. All were very nice people and gave excellent service! I forgot their names unfortunately. My receipt said Zachary but not sure which waiter that was. Between me and hubs, we had a Pan de campo, an order of Gulf Oysters "casino", (4) dressed oysters, a 16 oz dry aged ribeye, a snapper entree and a side of crab fried rice. We finished almost everything except a quarter of the Pan, about a quarter of the rice, and about a third of the ribeye. All were great dishes and would definitely order again. We skipped dessert because honestly none stood out to us. He said their popular dessert is the souffle but they were sold out. Our total before gratuity was about $250 and that included one cocktail. Hubs had their "classic" old fashioned which he said was excellent! Overall, highly recommended if you don't mind the splurge or for a special occasion!

Atmosphere is casual, service…read moreis friendly, the vibe is definitely Viking (and from what I have heard, it's really popping during brunch!). We came on. Friday after work during happy hour and the prices could not be beat, especially with their lobster bites (was sitting at about $30, and we got them half off!) Drinks were fantastic! I selected the "Golden Cadillac" that comes with a miniature bottle of Grand Marnier inside of it. Very good. My company decided on an array of appetizers for his "main course", while I went with their Fried Salmon (served with Mac and cheese, and collard greens). Omg! So tasty! The pepper was prevalent throughout, but it did not over power the flavor! I make collard greens at home (and learned from one of the best), and even I found theirs to be pretty good! My company selected fried ribs, along with the lobster bites, and crawfish queso dip, and their wings! I tasted what he got, and we both agreed that the wings were "off the chart" delicious with a beautiful straight off the grill smoky flavor! So good that he got another order to go! Lol. What made our experience there amazing was our server Ray (Rajean = think "the 90's TV Show "Living Single"..."smooches"!)...she was the best!! From her hello, to walking us through the menu (as first-timers), her recommendations, her energy, her smile, and her being very relatable. Loved her! My only gripe was the bathrooms, the ladies room needed attention (and could use a spruce all around). It doesn't help that it is a bit small, but yeah, they need to focus some efforts on ensuring it's upkeep. As for seating and parking, there is a bar area and limited seating toward the front of the restaurant, but it does extend to back of the house with additional seating. There is also patio seating as well. Because this place seems popular, it is best to reserve ahead to ensure your seating. Parking is very limited! They do however, offer valet (but at $20+). There is off-street parking, but be careful since this is a residential area and nothing is secure. All in all, I really had a great time and left with my belly full! Definitely worth checking out! What was lost is now found! Enjoy!

Well the host came and said "go to the front & I can help you there". Cool. We get seated and given a menu. The menu was dirty, sticky, and over all filthy. We moved inside to the bar and asked a waitress "can you let the bartender know we are here, we think she went to the back for something". The waitress looked at us and said " oh, she know y'all here. She gone come". Instead of letting her know we moved to the bar. Anywho, Bunny took great care us. She literally made our experience go from 1 to a high 8. Ask for Bunnnyyy at the bar!!! Nice music playing. Minus the bugs on the patio (love bug season in tx) and long wait on the patio, the ambiance wouldve been great outside..... Service needs a bit of tweaking, food was good, Bunny was amazing.
