We've used Dirt Cheap Movers three times: once from Downey to Corona, and twice within Corona. Two were all day moves from old home to new home, while the third was from one apartment to another at a senior community. We were very happy with each move. The guys were friendly, careful, quick and efficient. Steve was an amiable fellow who conversed while he worked. These guys can walk and chew gum at the same time! They wrapped and taped our belongings to minimize the chance for damage in transit. Nothing was damaged. Their prices are reasonable and competitive. Actually it looks like all the 5 star reviews are fake, as me and my roommate were moving and we used Dirt Cheap Movers. This guy is a total cheat and fraud, charged us extra, showed up late, broke our stuff and after all this was rude. This company has zero customer service , infact downright fraud, will complain to BBB aswell. Because I grew up as a 'military brat' (my Dad was in the Air Force for over 20 years) I am no novice to packing and moving. That said, never before have I experienced such delightful and phenomenal movers as Daniel and Ernesto! We had a ton of boxes, furniture and odds and ends that had to go to three different locations. We (my Dad, sister and I) are still blown away how these two guys moved this massive amount of stuff starting at 7am and completed by 2:30pm!!! We thought it would take them until at least 9:00pm. Not only did they do an extrodinary job, but Daniel and Ernesto were an absolute delight to be around. The last drop was to put a large mixture of furniture and boxes into this very small space in our garage. Daniel and Ernesto were artist they way they neatly fitted all those items into this small space. We stood around with mouths open in amazement and would never believe the neat arrangement they created in the garage. It was like each box and piece of furniture was a part of a rubik's cube that they craftly molded into a neat rectangle in the garage ...and it didn't stop there, we could actually walk around the entire box and funiture cube they created. If you ever need anything moved from small to large amounts, DEFINITELY CALL DIRT CHEAP MOVER!!!! They go above and beyond. Finally I must not leave out Steve Niedziela, the Owner. He was incredible when he came to meet with us (my Dad, sister and me). He was so informative and made sure we knew all the safety features to look out for in moving and hiring movers, the best place to buy our boxes and tape, how to catagorize our items for move and all the while assuring us he and his crew would take care of all our moving needs. It was so refreshing to meet a business owner for the first time that was so transparent about his business, and like Daniel and Ernesto, Steve too had a wonderful personality that made us all feel after six VERY LONG weeks of pacKing things up, throwing items out that 'everything would be okay once his crew arrived' ...our worries were over. Per Daphane, I recently used Steve. I was quoted an 11 hour job. He promised that he would be completed in that time frame. 18 hours later, he completed the job and charged me additional monies. He was rude to his workers and decided to have a staff meeting in the middle of my move in my house. He talks extremly too much and is very slow. I would not recommend him moving my dog that I do not own let alone anything else of mine. Horrible service. One star is too generous for him to receive. read more

I recently had to move my elderly parents from one apartment to another within the retirement community where they live in Claremont. These guys were terrific! Steve, the boss, responded quickly to my query about his services. We communicated via text which I liked a lot. The guys who showed up to do the move were really nice and respectful and efficient. They got everything done quickly and with care. They also moved a very heavy piano and delivered it to a separate location for me after they completed my parents move. Extremely reasonably priced. Excellent service we had with Steve. We hired them to move us and 2 stops along the way to our 2 story home. They do amazing work. Steve is very knowledgeable, smart and funny. They took the time to wrap everything and did everything exactly as we asked he even gave us so much tips for our new home. They worked with our scheduled even with last minute changes. Owner is unprofessional. He left his poor employee to move pretty much everything by himself while he took his time covering my furniture with blankets. The lack of teamwork/efficiency costed me extra money...on top of that, he broke my furniture and blamed it on the screws which was such a poor excuse. So now I'm out of hundreds of dollars with a broken piece of furniture that he called himself fixing, but the damage is done. I've never had such a horrible moving experience. They did a great job moving all my furniture out of my apartment to my storage unit. 2 bedrooms worth of furniture along with all my living room furniture was fully loaded onto the trailer and unloaded into my storage unit without breaking a single thing and in a reasonable amount of time. I can't disagree with the other review posted more than I do. Steve showed up early, he offered a upfront fee which he didn't change, even though we ended up having a couple extra boxes. He gave us a discount for helping with wrapping our furniture, which was then efficiently moved by his crew. He brought a cooler full of soda and water for us and while definitely talkative, he was courteous and polite. We completed our move so quickly, and he even bought us lunch on the way over to our new apartment! I cannot recommend this guy to enough people, he deserves recognition for his excellent work! The 2 man moving team showed up with masks, called in advance to ask if we'd like them to arrive a bit earlier than the scheduled time, were polite, respectful, efficient and professional. It took them less than 15 minutes to move my counter depth refrigerator from my upstairs condo to the garage. They wheeled it down the stairs and were careful not to bump any walls nor dirty my light colored carpet. Although I hated to part with my money for the short amount of time required for this appliance relocation, it was money well spent. I have used Dirt Cheap Mover twice and both times it was a great experience. My first move was smaller and I only had two guys helping. They were fast, friendly, efficient. My second move was much larger and I asked for four movers. They also were fast, friendly, and efficient. I had the same crew supervisor both times. He was very professional and made sure the crew was careful with our furniture. Everything was delivered without any damage and no scuffing on the walls. The owner is also very easy to work with. I had to change our move date numerous times due to situations beyond my control, but he was always understanding and willing to work with me.
