You must come and eat here!! First off, the staff is super friendly and helpful with recommendations. I had the "mutt dog" which reminded me of a street taco in hot dog form. My boyfriend and I split the DUI fries which were dangerously good. Also, staff took a photo of us which we got to add on the wall which was fun! Watermelon agua fresca was really amazing and staff asked us if we wanted no ice, ice light or heavy ice - idk why but that question was really super sweet to me, like I wasn't get ripped off on a drink (all ice, no drink - looking at you Starbucks). Dirt Dog never disappoints! The interior of this location is beautiful and spacious. The service was amazing and we got our full order in under 5 minutes (Tapatio Dog, Pastrami Dog, Carne Asda Fries, 2x Carne Asada Tacos, and Tapatio Corn). The Pastrami dog is always a good pick if you want something extremely meaty with a hint of sweetness and tart. Their new item the Tapatio Dog is another home run. The Tapatio dog is perfect if you love Tapatio hot sauce, crispy & salty chicharrones, and queso fresco. The buns they use are always nicely buttered up and crispy and always hold their hot dogs without falling apart. The Tapatio Corn was delicious as well, it was flavorful, had a good amount of spread, and was soft and juicy! Usually, whenever we have corn on the cob, the kernels stick to our teeth. However, we did not face this problem with the Tapatio Corn! Also, the Carne Asada Fries and Tacos were crazy good. Normally we don't expect good Asada from a hot dog place, but these two items were amazing. They were both flavorful and the Asada was crazy tender. This was a hidden gem tucked away in a strip mall. Extremely fast and friendly service with exceptional quality food that I had not anticipated, especially for the price. My man and I had ordered the Elote Dog and the Patty Melt Dog respectively and both were delicious! (Not to mention bacon wrapped). So I tried the LA location once in 2019 and thought it was really good. I was stoked to see them put up a Long Beach location and was hoping it would live up to my memory, and they absolutely did! I've gone the last two weekends and each time it was bomb. Trip 1 I got the elote dog, dirty fries, and the horchata ice cream with the churros and I'm telling 10 outta 10! This place was delicious! Nice variety of hot dogs and fries, a stoners paradise! Lots of artwork of Snoop, Nate and their cronies and good music. We went on the potato pop-up day and had a Fleetwood Mac + lobster potato and it was AMAZING!! There was crab and spiral Mac and cheese as well. The chef came out and spoke to the customers and made sure everyone was enjoying the food. We also had the chili-cheese bacon wrapped hot dog and it was really good. This isn't something I can eat all the time, (if I want to fit in my clothes), but it was a nice treat! Only other location is on the Strip in LV. The pineapple agua fresca was very refreshing too. It's right next 2 Baskin robin. I had gone to dirt dog B4 in LA which was kinda far. But I'm from Long Beach so when I heard they opened one in Town I was excited to try it. Unfortunately, it just wasn't the same. I ordered a green dog and it wasn't as good as the hotdogs they have In LA. The bun tasted old and dry , and the bacon bites were so hard that it felt like I was eating tiny rocks. I was also disappointed that I could not get any corn menu items cause they didn't have any corn available which sucks cause we were anticipating corn. I also ordered some deserts which was a churro and fried Oreos. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had one small issue with my desert though. I had to cancel them because they never brought it out on time even after I asked them like 4 times about them. I had to asked for a refund because I was running late and needed to go, couldn't wait anymore. I felt bad but I had to go. I was there for like 45mins and they just forgot to make them, I guess. But honestly, I think it was just cause it was a slow Sunday but they were so nice. I will give a second chance for sure. read more

I came here a few weeks ago with a good friend and we were really satisfied with our food! The service, indoor design, and cultural homage were all wonderful additions to the meal. I ordered the patty melt with a veggie dog and no bacon - this dog is covered in cheddar sauce, aioli, and fries, and it was so satisfying. It had an excellent mouth feel and great proportions of toppings:dog. My friend ordered the chili dog and said that it was really good - the toppings are evenly distributed and match the intensity of the dog. We also had the elote fries which were the BEST! The corn was fresh off the cob, the elote spice was smacking, and the cream was perfect! (We felt like the fries were even better than the dogs, so we recommend getting some fries while you're here!) Lastly, we enjoyed a churro - the dough of the churro was fantastic, however we felt the cinnamon and sugar was a little overkill. They pair it with some cinnamon whipped cream which I found to be okay. Overall, I really appreciated the meal and (patient and helpful) service. And even though it looked small and unappetizing when I opened the hot dog - it was still relatively good. Garlic Fries became a bit overwhelming - but good too. Although the whitish sauce served with it was minuscule and barely flavorful at all. But not for $20. At all. Seriously - I came away feeling like I had been ripped off. The food wasn't bad - I liked what I had to eat. But for $20? Really? I could have gone to Pink's. *which at $20, I hope they pay their staff over Minimum Wage - can you imagine McDonald's asking you if you wanted to leave a tip when you paid? read more

I discovered Dirt Dog several years ago at the one near USC. But the one in Long Beach lacks the same quality in their food and menu selections. At this location, if you want to eat inside, plan on bringing earplugs and leave the kids at home. They blast the R rated versions of songs. It's so ridiculously loud that you practically have to shout to place your order or those you're dining with. You can literally feel the bass vibrate when you sit. It's not a pleasant nor welcoming atmosphere. If I wanted to go to a night club to eat on a week night, I would. It's unfortunate that the employees don't notice people ordering to go or walking out because of the insane volume of the music. When they brought us our food, they made sure we had everything we needed and didn't wait for us to ask for anything. They were just so intuitive and helpful. We tried the dui dog, the elote dog with added hot cheeto dust, the snoop dog, asada fries, dirty fries, garlic fries, and our son had the nuggets. All of it was perfectly executed. I feel silly saying that because I know they're just hot dogs, but really, it was all so good. I tasted my sons nuggets, and even those were some of the best i've had. Wanted to try a new spot with my husband. Saw that the pastrami dog was served with a pacifico and he was excited to try the place. Walking in the place is nice and ordering and getting the food was fairly quick. When we got our order everything was fine but my husband didn't get the beer, which was the whole reason he got the pastrami dog. So he went to ask the cashier about it. She told him that they don't do that here. He said what do you mean it's on the menu? Another employee came from the back and agreed that the menu did say that it comes with a beer. The cashier repeated herself and said he couldn't get the beer because the pastrami dog & beer came as a combo. My husband told her it doesn't say anything about a combo on the menu. The cashier told him he could purchase a beer separately. By now he was just extremely frustrated and told the cashier they should fix the menu because that's false advertising.
