I consider myself a picky shopper. I will research and research until I find exactly what I am looking for with the right amount of reviews before purchasing. Our nephews moved in with us recently and I needed bunk bed mattresses asap and couldn't wait. So, after reviewing several websites including a couple of large brand name retailers, my husband and I decided to visit Discount Mattress. I had forgotten we bought a nice full size mattress for our daughter's room a couple of years ago and it's still in great shape. I had a specific budget and was not going to spend any more and I don't like aggressive sales people. Terry was awesome, very laid back, no pressure, I explained our budget and that we needed a twin and full for a bunk bed and he helped us pick out two nice mattresses. He even upgraded both without charging any more money. It's so nice to not feel pressured, explain what you want and get it without feeling like you were sold a Porsche when you are looking for a Honda. We went to the surrounding mattress stores as well as Plass Appliance. We were specifically looking for a double-sided / flippable mattress. THE standard response from most places is that they're not made anymore. B.S! We visited Joe in Naperville today and had a wonderful experience. He was extremely nice and I felt no pressure to buy. Every other mattress store has been the opposite. If you're in there for more than five minutes and tell the guy you aren't planning on buying, just trying, the salesman becomes irritated. Joe was very good in helping us fine-tune our selection and we couldn't be happier. Deciding to pay cash, we ran to the bank but with our bank being closed and us only being allowed a certain amount to be withdrawn from the ATM, Joe helped us out on a deal and we'll be getting our new queen sized mattress this Saturday (11/3/12). We can't wait! Joe, we'll be back (hopefully not within five years ;) and I'll be recommending my mom to a Discount Mattress thanks to this pleasant visit! read more

I did some online research before heading out to the mattress stores. I visited two and then stopped in at Discount Mattress in Naperville. The salesman, Bobby, was very friendly, helpful and not pushy. After listening to my story about our current mattress, he led me to a few that he would recommend and left me to try them out. I went home and researched again on one he had suggested. It was highly recommended online and the price he had given me was excellent in comparison to others I saw. I went back and ordered it. It took about a week to be delivered and that was fine. The owner, Graham, made the delivery and set up. He was very friendly and helpful. So far (it's been about a week) the mattress is very comfortable and I am pleased with it. The price was great and included the split box spring and delivery and set up. This place is a joke!!! Ripped me off $297.00 knowing I was on disability and had to pay in payments. Bobby senko told me that my bed wasn't an as is product so the no refund policy didn't apply to me. Well after 4 days of sleeping on this bed I knew I got scammed the bed was dented within 2 wks of sleeping on it the bed sold me is worth a dollar and IS NOT the one I lauded on in store they won't give me my refund and tried same exact bed I felt and I refused so now he's big and bad and wants to go to court with a person on disability Graham has been very very rude and try's to give u another mattress that isn't the one you layed on in store they r rip off artists I had to save for 8 months to buy a bed that I've been in total neck shoulder n full back pain for going on 6 months!!!!!! My fiancé and I had visited 2 Back to Beds, Sears, Macy's and finally Discount Mattress looking for a supportive, but soft queen size mattress. Our sales associate, Joe, worked with us for an hour asking us what we liked and didn't like - making sure that we were finding what fit US as opposed to what he could get us to buy. He showed us many different beds, but we ended up with a King Koil for an AMAZING (seriously amazing) price thanks to Joe and Kevin. We were extremely happy with how courteous and enthusiastic Joe was. We could tell that he was really confident about his product, which was important to us. I was searching for a mattress for my 4 year old daughter. I wanted something that she would have for several years instead of going with a twin I bought her a double size. One of the owners gave me a very detailed education about the differences in mattresses. He showed me the lowest end to the highest end. He was not pushy at all just very informative which I liked. There prices are so good to begin with I was able to buy my daughter a better quality mattress than if I shopped somewhere else. Now her bed is the most comfortable in the house. I needed a bed ASAP!! I am a big guy so on top of needing a bed quickly I needed a king sized bed and since a bed wasn't in the budget I needed it to be inexpensive. I went to American Mattress first, they had an inner spring in my budget, but the coils felt like they could become a permanent part of my ribs. Came to Discount and Bobby the sales guy was personable, friendly and gave me a spectacular deal. He knocked $100 off the sale price of a king pillow top to get within my budget. I got a king pillow top, box springs, frame and delivery all for around $500 including tax. Mattress shopping, not an easy task at all. Checked many stores on line and found them all to be very high priced, at least for what I wanted to spend. My on line search took me to Discount Mattress in Naperville. Their on line prices were more in line to what I wanted to spend. When I arrived I was greeted right away by the manager/owner Graham. He told me how the mattresses in the store were displayed so I didn't waste my time looking at mattresses I didn't want. He was able to answer all my questions, and his prices were great. We were actually on our way to a competitor but my husband suggested we go in so we were so close and boy am I happy that we did. I was not in the mood to be hovered over or hustled nor did I want to haggle or deal with back and forth. The sales rep, Billy and manager, Terry were fantastic. I just bought a mattress from Discount Mattress this week and I am completely satisfied with the entire experience. Our sales man Terry was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He showed great patience and after showing us several mattresses he allowed us our space to try and retry the various mattresses until we were certain which mattress was the right one for us. I have now been to Discount Mattress twice, and each time I came home happy with an excellent mattress. I went to four other stores, and Discount Mattress beat the other stores in price, quality, and customer service. Kevin, the manager whom i worked with was the most helpful person I've met in a while. he was very professional and listened to my needs and budget. he wasn't pushy or saleman-like aggressive and was patient with me sampling almost every bed in the store. i highly recommend this location as one of the best Mattress stores around and will definitely be back to do business again with him for my guestroom project which is next. read more

No basic respect to the customer for the business we give them, At first i thought they are very good people, but after they got the money customer is not valued any more. My mattress got delayed for 2 months and they gave me some used mattress , promised to replace it with the one i paid for and it is my mistake since i did not call them on daily basis to check on whether the mattress i paid for is available, Not their responsibility since they got the money, when i called for availability can't even listen to me and they hung up and won't even answer anymore. read more
