I had one of the worst service experiences in 20 years as a customer of Jiffy Lube…read more I first went to the Agoura Hills location, where I was told they didn't have the oil filter for my car and was sent to the Thousand Oaks branch. After driving there, I was met by an employee named Jose who was turning customers away. When I asked for a simple oil change, he told me there would be a 2-hour wait--which I agreed to. Then he added that only after those 2 hours would he check if they even had the correct oil filter. This is completely unacceptable. I asked him to simply scan my license plate or check the system--something that takes seconds. I've been a customer for over 20 years with 5 family vehicles, all on record. He refused. Instead, he repeatedly told me to wait 2 hours just to find out if the service could even be done, or to go to another location. This is not just bad service--it's laziness, poor attitude, and total lack of basic professionalism. Jose clearly had no interest in helping, and management at this location is just as responsible for allowing this level of incompetence. Bottom line: I will never return to this location or any Jiffy Lube again. Neither will my family, and I strongly advise anyone reading this to avoid this place. This kind of business attitude should not be tolerated.

I watched him check the late model car in front of me, and you'd think he was doing formula one race car inspection. Not sure what his objective is since they no longer do repairs there. Maybe trying waste peoples time and cash in on recheck fees. I guess he is just trying to pump up his ego and be a A$$. As long as this guy is there, I wouldn't recommend this place to someone I hated!!

My most recent service made the car run like it did when it was new. The engine is humming smoothly again, something I've honestly NEVER experienced after a repair or routine maintenance anywhere else and I've owned this car since 2007. Been going here for my car's last 6, or maybe 7, smog checks. Each time the service has been great. Even when it makes more work for them, like if you forgot to bring your papers, they try to accommodate you. On the day I was there, the State of California had come in the mid-afternoon to calibrate the smog-check machine, and that made all the afternoon appointments run late. I offered to come back the next day even though I didn't want to, but the fellow -- sorry I didn't get his name -- said no, he would stay. His attitude the whole time was pleasant and helpful. My car was finished about 5:50pm, and after me he kept going and took yet another customer's car. --Note: They say the best time for customers to come is in the morning. read more

Discount Smog is fantastic. I called to say I was coming in on a Tuesday afternoon. When I arrived the technician recognized my voice and said "you called before right?" He was with another customer and asked me to wait. I waited less than 5 minutes, he performed my smog check and I paid and left. I think I was there 15 minutes. He was so friendly and welcoming. Very fast! I called, got an appointment for a few hours later, and the entire smog check appointment took less then 30 minutes. He was extremely helpful and nice, printing out the paperwork in case I needed it before they received the electronic copy, without even being asked! Highly recommend this place. read more
