I will be referring all of my friends and family to Discount Smog! It is first come first served and when I pulled up, I was told it would take about ~45 min, depending if one car came back. Luckily, it only took 30 minutes and the smog check itself was fast. I had mentioned a coupon from their website and I was charged $39.95 instead of $49.95 for a smog ($48.20 total including certificate). I was late to laying my registration because I didn't realize I needed a smog check (oops) but thankfully I was told by the owner that if I was AAA member, I could pay for my registration same day. Discount smog isn't visible from the street. You have to drive into the Westlake auto care Center, just passed O'Reilly auto parts get to it. Once inside, look for discount smog garage front 5A on the left. He's quick to do the smog test. I like his straight shooting, get the job done style. Inexpensive versus other places. I just wanted to write a Yelp review publicly expressing my gratitude for Sam and the Discount Smog folks going the extra mile. I was busy getting my insurance and registration reinstated and had to get a smog test. This place was close to work and although I'd noticed a dragging/grinding sound on my car, I hadn't had a chance to get it looked at yet. When I came to this place to get the smog test, they noticed a piece of plastic drooping on the undercarriage of my car and after the smog test, put my car up on a jack and used some cable ties to fasten the loose plastic back into place - at no charge - until I could get it serviced properly.
