Just silence...pure, uncomfortable silence. At first, I tried optimism. Then logic. Then the classic move of turning the key again like it might suddenly change its mind. It did not (like a child digging in their heels). At this point, I accepted that my car had entered its "I'm tired and I quit" era. Cue roadside assistance....Alpha Roadside Services and Battery. Thankfully, help arrived before I had time to spiral into Googling "How to survive permanently stranded in your driveway." The roadside assistance technician showed up calm, professional, and completely unfazed by my dramatic retelling of events. Within minutes, they diagnosed the issue, got things sorted out, and brought my car back to life like some kind of automotive wizard. What could have turned into a full‑blown inconvenience (or emotional breakdown) ended up being quick and painless. No lectures, no eye‑rolling...just efficient help and a running vehicle again. The car was not tired, but the battery was a bit weak. While roadside service was free through our insurance plan, we had to pay for battery, which was reasonably priced. Thanks to roadside assistance, my car is no longer staging protests, and I can once again go about my day pretending this never happened. Highly recommend Alpha Roadside Services and Battery... especially if your car enjoys surprise rebellion.

They sent Jimmel with Alpha Roadside and he was there within the hour. He quickly diagnosed the issue (dead battery) and even offered a replacement there on the spot. But.... I figured such convenience would come with a premium and that I could get a better deal at Auto Zone, so I passed and just asked for a jump. Big mistake!! When I got to AutoZone, they didn't even have a 5yr battery for my truck. The 4yr they had they said "would work" but wasn't fitted properly for my vehicle so "might move around" (say what???). AND their batteries were more expensive. So I called Jimmel and he offered to meet me at my house where he got me taken care of in a jiffy. Better batter, lower price, more convenient and it comes with the same warranty you'd get when buying at a store like Auto Zone or anywhere else. Plus Jimmel is just a super nice and very friendly person to deal with! Will definitely call Alpha Roadside next time I'm in need!

I despise writing a poor review for a locally-owned business, but after months of being led-on and ignored, I am writing this in hopes of saving someone else's precious time. My husband was in a car wreck in October 2025. The person who rear-ended him has terrible insurance, so we decided to file a claim through our insurance, Allstate. Capital City Collision provided us a quote that our insurance did not agree with. An Allstate negotiator went back and forth with the shop. Part of the issue was my husband's truck had after-market parts that were damaged. Our Allstate negotiator, Elizabeth, called us to confirm that she was able to get funds approved by her manager and they reached an agreement on pricing with the shop. A check for $2,207.66 was sent to the shop to start ordering parts. According to Allstate, the shop cashed the check on January 20th. It is now March 19th and the shop still has yet to reach out. I have tried calling the shop multiple times in the last two months. Each time I call, they answer and hang-up immediately. I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe they are busy. I tried calling the shop today, and again, same situation: answer, then hang up. I thought to myself, "hmm... maybe they really are ignoring our calls?" So I waited 15 minutes and called back with a blocked number. What do you know... Catherine decided to pick up and answer this time! She kept me on hold for 9 minutes before taking me off hold and hanging up on me immediately. I called back, and a man answered. He transferred me up to Catherine, who kept me on hold for 4 minutes this time and hung up immediately. While I was on hold the second time, I received a text message saying they wouldn't do business with us. They ignored my text, asking when they planned on returning the check they cashed for $2,207.66. My husband and I have been trying to get his truck fixed since October 2025. It is now March 2026. I understand that our insurance was being difficult to work with... we were annoyed by Allstate, too! That being said, Capital City Collision could have rejected our business months ago, instead of stringing us along. Rather than sending this text message 5 months ago when this all started, they chose to dodge our calls and waste our time. Unprofessional does not even begin to describe their behavior. They were avoidant, deceptive, thieving, and rude.

Austin, the gentleman who took care of me, was super welcoming and helpful, finding ways to save me money and thoroughly explaining in detail what was wrong with my car. He went over what was more important and of higher priority. Compared to the other places, which quoted me ridiculous prices before even looking at my car, ATL's approach was far more satisfactory. In short, I've recommended this place to my friends and family and have had my cars serviced here several times. This location is in a marginal neighborhood, the staff are kind of grumpy, and the waiting area is not particularly hospitable. You may find it more pleasant waiting outside. The Toyo tires they sold used to be great values with exceptional handling and excellent treadlife. The first set I got outlasted the vehicle they were mounted on. Unfortunately, I got a bad set for another vehicle that were out of round, but I didn't know what the problem was until there were more than 5,000 miles on the tires. Beyond that mileage, I was told that it must have been caused by mechanical issues, although the car had been checked thoroughly and there were none. A to Z refused to deal with the problem, even on a pro-rated basis. Once burned, twice learned. No particular reason to go here ever again since they don't stand behind their product. [UPDATE: 8/18/2012. I found it interesting to note that a representative of A to Z Tire & Battery finally responded to my review over four years later. All I can presume is that A to Z must have recently become "socially aware". The response contained a faint apology and zero opportunity for customer satisfaction--only an opportunity for more of the same. If I were you, I would ask myself: If I have a problem here, do I really want to wait four years to receive no resolution?]

We got ripped off and lesson learned - Don't let your daughter go here alone - they will rip her off like they did mine.

They put your name on the clipboard when you arrive and just go straight down that list. I'd called beforehand to confirm their hours and theyd advised to come early so I came around 9a or so. I think the wait was about 15-20 mins? Really wasn't bad, I just fiddled with my phone and sat in my car. The actual inspection was also pretty fast, like 10 mins or maybe even a bit less. I appreciated the efficiency. Of note they do charge a 3% credit card fee. A lot of places do that nowadays, but that was really the only "surprise." They also offer a basic inspection ($12, basics to renew car reg) or a more thorough one for $18 where they check your wipers and lights etc.
