DISHONEST & UNHELPFUL Went in for a registration inspection. I was there 5-minutes after they opened. They said there were 3-people ahead of me in line and it should be about an hour wait. It was 5-hours later and they tried to tell me my 1-year old Rain-X blades needed to be replaced and they'd fail me if I didn't buy from them. They're prices were 3x what advance auto parts was, a block away. On top of everything they were incredibly unhelpful. I believe I spoke with Darrell who couldn't have been more rude and seemed absolutely miserable to be there. I've never done a yelp review in my life and find most of them to just be whiners whining because they never worked in the service industry but I had to write one for this experience. I set an appointment the day before for an oil change on a box truck. This is something I've done many times as I've been in an industry that uses these vehicles. I've never had an issue getting service. I show up today and the guy who says he's the manager tells me he's not sure if they can do my oil change. I told them what sort of vehicle it was beforehand and another comparable vehicle was in a bay being serviced. The guy claimed he couldn't do it because he couldn't pull the vehicle up by the vin. In every other past experience doing this the people just scanned the sticker on the inside of the door and it was smooth sailing. The company I work for regularly uses Firestone to service these exact vehicles. Instead of looking for a solution the guy just argued and made excuses. I really don't think it's a reflection of the store and I have a hard time believing this 20 something year old Latino male was even the manager. If he is they really should find someone who's better with customer service. He even tried throwing a new employee under the bus saying he'd set my appointment and he was the one I talked to again today when I called to confirm the time. I've been in the service industry for almost 30 years so I give a lot of credit and am not easily upset by sub par service but this guy was the worst. I hope he reads this and knows he has some major growing up to do. It really was like dealing with an adult baby. Will tell my wife and anyone else not to use this place in the future. I took my car here to get a screw removed and the tire plugged and patched. I paid and left and then my tire started going flat again. I looked at the tire and it still had the screw. I took my car back to the location and was told I would have to wait 5 hours. was never told I'm sorry. Damaged my vehicle driving on the curb scraping the front bumper admitting doing so then filed claim to be denied. I'm looking into a lawsuit for damages. You don't not want to bring your vehicle here they will not take care of it especially if you are not present. Came in on a appointment for just one tire replacement. Lady at the desk looked at what tire I had. Let me sit down and wait for 30 minutes just to tell me that they didn't have any in stock and that they could have one of their employees go pick it up when they arrive after lunch in 30 minutes. So they wasted an hour of my time. So I could wait another 1 hour and a half for my ONE tire just to be replaced. So I told them I'll go to the actual store who has them instead and to please give me my keys. As I was leaving the lady said if I brought the tire in earlier during the morning they would have had the tire ready as if I didn't have a job to go to or something. This is the typical place that will tack on an alignment to boost sales. Please know the job of the person at the desk is to sale and will have zero concern for you or your family. If you desperately need tires and this is your only option, just know they will posture as if this alignment is life or death. Previous to this visit, at a different Firestone, they did an oil change and stripped the drain plug or did an oil change and didn't say anything about the stripped plug and put silicone on it to prevent the leak. Alignments - Do not let them talk you into paying for free alignments. They seem to always take care of you last and you'll end up waiting 3+ hours. Oil changes - just about them same. Spend 30-40 bucks at Jiffy Lube and it'll be out in less than 20 min. Specifically today I was told about a 2 hr wait for an oil change, tire rotation and alignment. It's been 4 hrs and that the tech was no where to be found. They treated me right. They were able to find 4 special tires for me that other companies were unable to locate and told me it would take weeks. I set an appointment and told them I had to be out by a certain time. They had me out by the time I requested. This location is Super busy. There were a number of walk-ins (potential customers) who came in for inspections or oil changes who were told it would be a 2+ hour wait before they could even get to their car. They found good tires, and put them on in a timely manner for me. But I wasn't wowed by the service. It was just average. They seemed to have too much going on at once. If this were a non emergent situation I would not have come to Firestone and I suggest the same for you. My tire was punctured by a nail and with my luck it was Sunday so my choices were slim to none. I was met by Eva's friendly face upon arriving and she told me it would take a few hours to repair and even suggested I go see a movie. It only took about 45 minutes which I was extremely happy with even if they did overcharge me. I was happy for about five seconds until I got my car door open and saw my carpets murdered. The drivers side floor was covered in oil. That lack of respect for my car astounds me. After all it would've take all of 30 seconds to put down a sheet of paper. I made an appointment online at 7am for a simple oil change. I got an email saying that my reservation was confirmed a little later. I made the appointment at 5:30 and when I showed up the guy said they expected at 2:30. I told him that I was at work and that I couldn't show up at that time even if I wanted to. Then, "Francis" said that she doesn't do oil changes after 3 pm. So, I explained that I still wanted an oil change for the time I made the reservation. I also asked why nobody contacted me and she said they sent me an email. I looked and there was no email but I asked why nobody called if they were going to deny the oil change and she said that she doesn't have time. Then, she told me to just come back at 3 tomorrow and didn't even apologize or acknowledge they made a mistake. I told her I couldn't come until 5 and she said they would not do it. When I complained more, Francis said sarcastically, "If you want to wait until 7, we can do it." I told her I would wait and then she got on the phone and said she didn't even have the oil filter. So, when I asked what would have happened if I showed up at 2:30 like they supposedly expected she said they would have had an oil filter delivered? At the end, I asked if she could have the general manager contact me and she said she didn't have his contact information. REALLY? Who does she notify if she is ill, etc.? I will never use that Firestone with that kind of customer service. Plus, if you look at reviews, you will see that Francis is mentioned and apparently, they don't care what she does. read more

This is the absolute worst fire stone I have ever been to in my life. Twice I had to take my car back because they used faulty parts on my Cadillac not once but twice making my car shake and my engine light flash which I have never seen it do before. I also payed to get my headlights replaced and two days later noticed the headlights were out again which means they use bad lights on my car then to. all they care about is taking your money. I'm extremely frustrated and disappointed with this Firestone location. I've been a customer for about 2 years and never had an issue until I went to this location. I arrived around 4:30pm due to a nail being in my back left tire. Since they were busy at the time, they recommended me leaving my car and assured me my tire will be fixed prior to closing at 7pm. I leave, then around 6:45pm I call them to check the status and they told me they couldn't get to it, it'll be ready by tomorrow. Fine, I have no issues with that. They call me the next day around 4:45pm to pick up my vehicle, so my boyfriend picked it up for me on my behalf. While driving, he notices all of my phone charges (3 to be exact) and aux cord was missing. I inspected the jeep, noticed not only were those items missing but 6 books from the backseat, my Nike platform sandals, all of my change, an old cell phone, my old school lighter from my great grandpa, even my bag of cough drops and lotion. Not only did I have missing items, but my passenger seat was laid down and my backseat was laid down, as if someone had to put the seat down. I made sure to verify that my jeep was locked prior to leaving so I'm sure it had to have been internal. I fully trusted Firestone, but never again! I guess my advise to you, don't bother going to this location unless you remove all items from your vehicle. read more

I have taken my car here 4 times now and they cannot seem to get an alignment right. First time I took my car in I specifically asked to have my steering wheel straitened out with the alignment and I when I left steering wheel still crooked and car pulling to the right. I took it back and asked again and it seems like it was somewhat aligned as my steering wheel was a little more straight and not pulling as much. Then I have a brand new rack and pinion steering system put in by Aamco a week later and of course had to have it aligned again. I asked this Firestone to align it again and make sure my steering wheel was straight and when I left steering wheel still crooked and pulling to the right. So I took it in again and asked them to check it again and when I left steering wheel still crooked and pulling to the right. My alignment was off again even though I just had them align it the week before. I got a brand new steering system so I know Firestone is making a mistake somewhere on my alignment. So much time wasted bringing my car here for an alignment that never seems to be right. I will be taking my car to a more reputable alignment facility and suck up payment another $100 to get it done right. read more

Made an appointment to get my oil and filter changed for 2:00pm. Car wasn't moved from the originally spot I parked it in until 3:30pm. In total it took 2 hours and 15 minutes to get finished. Staff was friendly and helpful, but management should know to schedule less appointments if they aren't able to keep up with the load. I didn't give anyone a hard time, as I know staffing can be an issue right now, but felt like it was little disrespectful of people's time. If anything I feel bad for the employees... He found what I needed at another store and offered to have it sent over. This was on a Sunday afternoon, and they were very busy. Dave was polite and professional--not only with me but with every other customer who came into the place or called on the phone. Even though I knew I would be waiting a few hours, I was satisfied today with the service and professionalism here. The tires I bought were a bit more expensive than I had been quoted at another business, but not by too much. Based on my experience I would definitely recommend this place to anybody. We took a vehicle to this facility for an oil change and were told it would be a two hour wait. There was very little activity in the shop and there were no other customers at the facility. The office staff acted like they could not be bothered. The very large man who was apparently managing the store spent most of his time playing/texting on his cell phone. We decided not to wait and went elsewhere. I have been to other Firestone stores and had a very different experience. On a Friday afternoon, at work, my passenger front power window stopped working in the OPEN position. I carry about $3500 worth of tools for my part-time small business and now there was no way to secure my car. As well, thunderstorms were predicted for the upcoming weekend. I was anxious. Since many auto repair centers were closed for the weekend, my choices were limited as to where to go for this "emergency" repair. The next morning, Saturday, I went to a Toyota dealership. The service manager performed some quick tests and told me that a new regulator, installed, would cost me $567 plus tax. The regulator cost about $372 and the labor was about $175. I knew that the dealership is always expensive, but to pay over half a thousand dollars to fix one stuck window was out of the question. I sat in my car and randomly searched other nearby repair centers, calling each to see if they were open and could fit me in. My 11th call was to Firestone, only 4/10 of a mile farther down. Their service manager, John "Chico" Ortiz, was immediately concerned for my predicament and told me to come straight there right away. For $48 plus tax, he promised to accurately diagnose the problem and repair it as cheaply as possible. This is a 12-year-old car with almost half a million miles on it, so the more money I saved, the happier I was. I drove. As soon as I pulled in, Chico assigned one of his best men, Martin, to work on my car. I stood right there, handing Martin special tools and talking about how bad my luck had been lately. Within four minutes, I kid you not; Martin discovered a loose connection in the wiring harness. I cannot describe the joy I felt in my heart when Martin hooked up the test leads on his digital meter, directly from the battery, to some contacts at the electric motor in the door, jiggled a connector, and the window suddenly rolled up! All fixed! After tax, the bill came to $53. I tipped Chico $10 and Martin $10. They had just put my repair at the top of their list, on a busy weekend, and saved me a whole lot of money! I was beyond ecstatic. Other people in the small waiting room, who had overheard everything, all smiled and nodded. I'm sure many of them knew what I was feeling. Chico told me that he'd been doing auto repair for 33 years, and had a huge following of customers who stayed with him no matter what company he worked for. One man approached me and told me he'd been bringing his vehicles to Chico for over 30 years, and would never dream of going anywhere else. What a way to run a business! I wish there were more honest mechanics such a Chico. Most of us have already been taken advantage of during a moment of weakness, when a repair had left us stranded and we were at a mechanic's mercy. Not me. Not this time. I was promised a 10% discount by an employee after some hour or so of comparison shopping. He told me the printer was broken and offered me a e-mail receipt and I never saw an itemized bill. When i get home after the shop is closed the invoice stated that i acknowledged the higher than quoted price! very underhanded. when i asked what my 'final price' would be he told me $100 less than what i was actually charged. the shop gets 2 stars solely due to the quick resolution of a manager in giving me the 10%. even with the 10% i paid $40 over what i was quoted. read more

Simply went for an oil change. I knew that the door handle was going to break. It broke when the repairman opened it. Firestone decided to repair and replace the door handle FOR FREE! The cost would have been $150. They also discounted my oil change to $18. with tax included. I am happy that they did all this for me. Went out of their way to help. The manager was Alexis Steele. I totally understand that if anyone is going to a repair place whether it be for a car or a phone or anything they're likely frustrated. Taking that in to consideration and the fact that the people working on your vehicle are in the Texas heat all day for their job I would have to say that the employees at this location maintain a friendly, positive attitude. They're honest and upfront about cost and wait times. They are helpful as they can be as we all rush in to be helped first for what we expect to be a 10 minute wait for services we want to pay little to nothing for. They over-tightened my wheel bolts after specific conversation about not doing that. I said, "will you please hand-tighten them to 90 lbs-ft?" The assistant manager(?) who barely let me finish my sentence assured me that, "oh of course, of COURSE we always do that we would NEVER over tighten them, we always do it by hand - that's how you gotta do it!" He was at least honest with me once I got there that even with my appointment, it would take 90-120 minutes to mount and balance two tires. And it did take that long. So here I am at home, attempting to take the wheels off, and I can't make the bolts move at all, even with all my weight on a breaker bar. Also, when they returned the two tires to me, one of them has what appears to be a repaired hole circled in white chalk. There's a huge amount of foamy, hardened goop squirting into the inside of the tire where I assume a repaired hole was? Now how am I supposed to trust that this repair is safe if they didn't even tell me there was a hole and that they repaired it. Maybe it's not safe and they were trying to point out an unsafe area of the tire with that chalk. I have no way of knowing because they didn't tell me. The assistant manager, who was badmouthing other employees in front of customers was one of those nice, slick-talking guys who when what they say is honest, is a nice quality. But when what they say is BS, they just seem like a con-artist, overly-slick, untrustworthy guy to stay away from. That is now the impression I have of this guy. And when I was there, they made a mistake and undercharged a guy for a couple hundred bucks. Instead of being nice, they called him to have him come back in so they could charge him the rest. I mean, that's not that bad but it's kind of lame. Also, the assistant manager said he was doing the work of three people that day because other people called in sick. SO, I'd like the manager to contact me so I can get a full refund. I'd also like all ten front bolts replaced now that they've been so severely over-tightened that I'm sure they're near they're over-stress point and are at risk for fracture.
