Amazing tire shop!! Can't go wrong. I wish I had the names of the gentlemen that took care of my Lincoln. A 25+ yr old SuperCoupe with 37k miles & original tires. The wheels were STUCK On! They gently got them loose & popped out by hand the expensive center caps that are no longer available. We were hesitant to take this car anywhere but so glad we entrusted this Chandler store. They even wire brushed and cleaned the hubs prevent future problems. Their Attention to detail and going above & beyond to do a perfect job was impressive. My tire pressure light had came on and I put air in and by the next day the light was on again. I arrived to discount tire just after the gym, I waited in the lobby a bit to be helped but I was reassured someone will be with me momentarily. It was nice seeing the sense of care and urgency in getting helped. Once I was greeted and explained my problem, the serviceman walked with me to my car scanned each tire and went over everything with me. He also educated me on wheel locks, which I had no idea was a thing and located the keys to unlock them. Afterwards we went back inside, let me know how many cars were in front of me and had me sit and wait. It was also nice I received a link to track when my car was being serviced and an estimated finish time which was accurate. My car was ready and I was told there was a wood chip in my tire which they repaired and filled all my tires with air for FREE!! I felt very taken care of, and I left happy and satisfied with their customer service. I really like Discount Tire because they do what they promise. I purchased 4 Continental tires back in July at a Discount Tire in Las Vegas and this past Sunday one of my tires was quite low, luckily a handy man was able to put my spare on and advised I had a slow leak, I vaguely remember debris in the road on Friday that could have compromised my tire. I was alil worried because I misplaced my original receipt. But when I called Monday all my worries were lifted, my tire warranty info was in the computer here in AZ, and I was told I was good. I decided to walk in today (Tuesday) around 2 pm and they were done with my car by 3:15 pm, super efficient. The guys working are very nice and helpful. 10/10 would recommend. I had a valve stem blow out from a nearby car wash. I called discount tire and spoke to Robert at this Gilbert rd location in Chandler AZ; he assured me that the situation would be okay. I called roadside assistance and was towed to this location discount tire. When I showed up; Robert (red shirt) approached me and asked if I was the sir he spoke to on the phone as I replied yes. He was quick to get me in; I had no more worries that things were not going to work in my favor. He had me out of there less than 30mins as the job didn't require but a few minutes to complete. I have been here 3 times now and have been disappointed all 3 times. The first time, I booked an appointment on their site for a tire rotation. I showed up for my appointment and the entire place was closed. I found out about a week later that apparently one of the employees got Covid so they had to shut the place down. An email or phone call to your customers would have been courteous. What if the customer had a far drive? So I tried again. They just opened a few months ago and are literally 5 minutes from my house, which is why I even came there. I booked another appointment for a tire rotation. They have a tent outside and a sign that says to check in. I stood there for maybe 15 minutes, and I'm not sure how many workers in the garage made eye contact with me, but nobody asked if I needed help or even said "we'll be right with you". Someone finally comes out and does the inspection and I need two new tires. My original tires are still on warranty, which is the only reason I even booked another appointment. Brought my car in for the 3rd time for my two new tires. Once again, it took forever for someone to come out to check me in, so my husband had to go inside to let them know. I gave them my phone number and they said it would take 45 minutes. 5-6 hours later, I still didn't receive a call, so I called them and they said it was ready. When I picked up my car, I confirmed my number was correct and they said they " tried" to call me but the call didn't go through. They are known for the good prices, but they need to work on their customer service to an extreme. We won't be back. read more

I was at 835 S. Cooper Rd. I have frequented this location for over 20 years. I just needed my front 2 tires rotated. A tall slim young man came out to look over the tires and immediately told me that I need to buy 2 new tires and that my tires were a safety hazard. Absolutely not! I just bought those tires from them a couple months ago. One tire showed some wear and the other looked new. He refused to helped me and walked away back into the store. I was not happy at all! So I go to the other Discount Tire on Chandler Blvd. My house sits in the middle of these 2 locations. I wait there for 2 hours until they get to my truck. They did not have a problem with my tires and did not utter a word about them and finally attempted to take my tires off and swap them. Guess what?! At this location they could not get the tires off and recommended that I buy an extended socket from Amazon to fit the lugs on my truck to remove the wheels! Really! Should you not have any and every tool known to mankind to perform your job which is supposed to be your specialty???!!! So... I have a Hispanic shop that is only 2 minutes from this location that I frequent often. They always are dependable and provide superb service. I pull my truck on to their lot. I was immediately assisted, told them what I wanted and they immediately went to work. They had my tires off in less than 2 minutes, made the swap, and did not recommend or try to force me into buying new tires. And by the way. Their tire inventory is as large as Discount tires. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes flat and they only charged me $20.00. I generally go to discount tires because of the warranty they provide for my tires but after 20 plus years of giving them my business I will not go there again. They are inconsistent from location to location. Hell, even if I go back to the same location! It depends on who you speak to on any particular day! And I'm extremely upset with the guy that just walked away from me and did not try to further assist me once I refused to buy new tires. I give them plenty of business each year because I have duals in the rear of my truck and I constantly have to stay on top of making sure that they are safe and in good shape. I've always gone through discount tire for my wheels and tires due to their amazing work and great prices. This discount tire has been the best one I've been to yet. I bought 4 new tires from a location in Tempe. The wheels I bought a few years back have always given me a hard time with vibrating so getting the new tires it was expected to get them balanced and an alignment done. After doing all of those things I still have a lot of vibration. This discount tire went above and beyond to help get rid of the vibrations. They fixed the problem and now my car drives so smooth. The customer service was amazing the entire process. They were never frustrated by having to re-do the balancing and took great care of my car. Had an all-around great experience dealing with this location this week. They are new and just opened but they definitely have that feeling of being around for a very long time! I spoke with Andrew regarding two new tires for my BMW 750 LI and he went through all of the available tires and cost, in addition to those who had warranties. By the end of the day he had ordered my new tires and the next day they were in and on my car before noon. Andrew and Steven were both great to work with and it was a pleasant experience. Crazy thing is that BMW was going to charge me $900 for the same tires (without a warranty) and these guys did it for a lot less, and with a warranty. Discount tire always gives you a good price on tires if you do your research first. They allow you to make appointments and they run on time. I like the free rotation and balance. We purchased another car and they did a rotation even though we have yet to replace the tires. I love Costco but tires are always running late and an appointment means waiting 90 minutes. They had it all done the same day. 2 weeks later the pressure sensor went off in my car just because the outdoor temperature went down with the season change. Be careful with scams. Brought my car in for air pressure check. The attendant went around with a hand held device after pressuring tires. A very short time later my air pressure light went on and never went out. A few weeks later I brought my wife's car in and the same situation. Her light went on and stayed on. Later I stopped inside to ask if the sensors in the tires were programmable. The attendant say yes. I took a video of the conversation. Are they attempting to con you into buying new tires you don't need by setting the sensor to come on..?? You have to trust those you do business with. read more

Drop the car off. 45 minutes in and out everyone were map I felt safe in large waiting room distanced from other people. Tyler was my salesperson when I call for help initially. I believe it was Brian who checked me in. any young woman whose name I didn't catch who gave me the car at the end. This was a third retailer I tried. The first two places I didn't feel safe at during covid-19. Discount tires price was OnPoint and competitive with anyone else and I also got a manufacturer rebate. Long time Discount Tire customer. Never been disappointed over the last 3 decades of purchases, until yesterday. Took my vehicle in for a tire rotation and ended up spending $1,600 on a new set of tires instead. It was recommended that I do that, even though my 70,000 mile warrantied tires only made it about 30,000 miles. Guess the Yokohamas aren't that great. No big deal. I trust Discount and had no issue with buying a new set of tires at their recommendation. I was also told my lug nuts were shot too and they recommended a new set. My vehicle is under 50,000 miles, but once again, I trust Discount and added the lug nuts to the work order. When I picked up my vehicle I noticed a large door ding and paint chip on one of my doors. This was new. I brought it up to the manager's attention, who at first was not happy with my accusation that this damage was new and from one of his employees. So now begins the game of hot potato. Discount passed me of to their insurance company disputing my claim and having them investigate the matter. The damage is most likely under whatever their deductible is, so getting their insurance company involved seems like an unnecessary step. Why didn't the manager just step up to the plate and take responsibility? I mean, it's a door ding and a paint chip. Maybe I shouldn't be so trusting of Discount Tire. read more

I had come in to have my tires swapped onto some new wheels. Andrew took a look at the wheels and used a sort of caliper to check if the wheels did fit. He did not know how to read it properly and told me he couldn't have them mounted because the size mismatch. So I went home double checked and turns out they fit I called them again. Finally they put the tires on the new wheels for me and mounted and balanced for over 150$ with lugs. However I watched from another car as one of the gentleman over tightened a lug and broke a stud because he used the impact gun for much longer than needed, over torquing it. They also stripped a separate lug. They wasted my time and gas, as well as mileage having to come back for Andrew's mistake and the additional damage they did. I will have to waste more of my resources taking my car to a mechanic to get my car back to the way it was before taking my car to them. They weren't completely honest when telling me why they broke what the had. The young man said it had to do with the stud being old but it was in good working condition prior. They also stripped a stud and told me there was never a lug on it and I replied that I known for sure there was one on there and the man's story changed and he went to confide with the tech, his story now changing, saying that they didn't want to further damage it by trying to put it on. Thats an issue they created. If it was stripped in the first place they wouldn't be able to remove the old lug without fixing the threads on the studs meaning they would have had to strip the threads after the lug was off. They did not cover that damage. They also ripped off a rubber mat that had already started ripping they completely ripped off. read more
