I came in thinking I already knew which tire I wanted, but Ruben took the time to walk me through a more reasonable option that made more sense. He was friendly, helpful, and easy to work with. They gave me a time estimate that ended up running about 20 minutes over, but honestly, it wasn't a big deal. The lobby was clean, calm, and they moved through the line quickly. I would never return to this place, and I would not recommend it to anyone who is a minority, especially Black customers. My experience was extremely dishonest and frustrating. I stopped in as a walk-in due to an issue with my tire on my way to work. I understood that I did not have an appointment and was told upfront that it would take a certain amount of time, which I accepted. At that point, there was only one person ahead of me in line. That customer a Hispanic man who was also a walk-in was serviced and left way before me. After that, multiple customers continued to arrive, many of them, and they were in and out while I continued to wait well past the time I was originally given. When I went back inside to ask about my car (over 30 minutes past the estimated completion time), I was told that customers with reservations are serviced first. I was there for over an hour and 45 minutes. I said if they had appointments, why would you give me a completion time then over an hour ago I was supposed to be done that doesn't make sense. My issue is this: if appointments are prioritized, then why give a walk-in customer a specific completion time knowing that others with reservations would continue to come ahead of me? During this delay, I observed several white customers being serviced and leaving while my vehicle had not even been looked at. I checked on my car at least two times and received no real effort to communicate or work with me. When I asked for the corporate number to file a complaint, I was given a hard time and made to wait an additional 15 minutes just for someone to speak with me about why I wanted the number. At that point, I was already frustrated and did not want to continue explaining myself to staff who showed no concern or accountability. By the time my tire was finally fixed, I was hesitant to even let them touch my car. That's how uncomfortable and untrustworthy the experience felt. I honestly would have preferred to take my car to the Discount Tire near my home, where I trust the service to be fair, transparent, and professional. This entire situation could have been handled with honesty, better communication, and basic respect. Unfortunately, that did not happen here. Wow, what a breath of fresh air! Called to inquire about the price of a front end alignment. $90; that is a steal! I had reason to believe that my wheels were toed out but believed caster/camber were fine. Asked about when they thought they could have it on their rack and was told there were none ahead of me at that moment if I wanted to go then. So I did. Got my truck on the rack immediately and after about 30 mins I saw them drive it off. The tech explained to me that caster, camber, and even toe were well within specs so no adjustments were needed. Griffin was very nice and courteous and assisted me with two tire replacements. I recommend making appointment otherwise you'd have to leave your car for several hours cuz they're very busy. I didn't have a ride and waited about 1.5 hours. Waiting room is ok and they serve small water bottle. All in all DT is worth comparing your experience before you drive in. I didn't like the extra charges they added to the tire price but it's sort of mandatory which cost about $70 extra on top of two tires which I wish they didn't do. read more

I came in today to get a nail out and patched around 9am and also got new windshield wipers. I was told it would be ready around 10-10:30 and so I sat in the lobby. I waited patiently because I know it gets busy keeping everything on schedule, but I didn't leave until 11:30 because I wasn't told that my car was ready about AN HOUR AND A HALF before that. Do I have to hover to know when my car is done now?? I even asked what the status of my vehicle was. I'm supposed to come back to get new front tires, but I'm now going to a different location so that my day isn't wasted waiting for my already serviced vehicle like an idiot. The young man that helped me at the Forest Ln location refused to rotate my tires because he insisted I needed to buy new tires when it is clearly obvious that the tires are not worn down at all. Seems he was just trying to overcome objections to make a sale instead of really trying to help. "Your satisfaction is our highest priority" - Not so much :( I have used this location for years. Always happy with service and products until this week. Brought my car in late morning to get a puncture fixed. My tires were near end of life so I purchased another set. He told me that I could wait (about 1.5 hrs) or he could set a 4:45appt which I appreciated and set the appointment. Up to this point, it was the typical great experience. I showed up at 4:43 and found a line at the counter. I asked a salesperson if I needed to wait in the line as I had already purchased the tires earlier and had an appointment. He said "yes" that I needed to wait in line. I finally cleared the line 12 minutes later and gave him the keys before going to sit down to read. An hour later, at 5:55, I looked up and my car was still where I left it. I walked up to a group of employees and asked about my status. Got the deer-in-the-headlights look from all of them. None of them knew anything about my car. I asked the manager and the only thing he kept telling me is that he had been there since 5am and that he just got back from lunch (he left for lunch at least 25 minutes after I arrived). I asked why did I bother setting an appointment. No one said anything. I left over an an hour and a half after my "appointment" - which I had come back for to save me waiting an hour and a half six hours earlier. *****GREEDY SALESMEN***** So to get 4 new mediocre tires on Hyundai, this guy quoted me almost $700. It was insane. I told him I will think about it. I was ready to leave. He then says how much do you want it for? Then after going back and forth, I got him to come down about $200. It was still too high because these tires go for about 70 bucks to 80 bucks range. He was trying quote me like $150 for mounting tires. Lol. FYI insurance pays about $15 mount and balance per tire. It should be about $60 total for all 4 tire labor. Only reasonable I paid almost $500 to get it done was because it was raining that day. This was the highest I have ever paid to change tires at any tire shops (Mind you this does NOT include warranty). This really gave me whole new perspective on how discount tire business model and how it is designed to screw the customers. I have decided to go to Walmart or Costco for tires from now on. This was a really bad experience for me. It was a predatory pricing without regards for their customers. From my conversation with the sales manager, I could clearly tell they don't care about customers. We are just cash cows for them to screw and squeeze as much money out of. They have no conscience and will charge double the amount of labor and parts if they know you don't know much about cars. read more

This location has amazing customer service! When I was pregnant I had a nightmare day where I hit some rock on the highway and ended up getting a flat tire, I was able to get into the parking lot at my office, but the tire very quickly went completely flat. After a horrendous six hours of having tow trucks not show up at all, and one guy showing up but saying he couldn't get the tire off because of the way it had been put on last time. When I finally got a tow truck to Discount Tire, 8 months pregnant, I was just crying. The guys that work here were SO nice to me, they went above and beyond by letting me use their phone when my cell phone died, they were able to get the tire off and even replaced a few things on the wheel that was messed up. We were able to get a great deal on replacing the tire, and got their warranty for the future. I've also had friends at work who have their warranty go in many times and they've never had an issue using the warranty. The service quality is always high, and they are genuinely kind. Watch out for these guys on forest lane by pepboys, they are up sellers. Went in for rotation. Said it would be free. I am think hey this is decent place and I might buy my tires here. Wrong! Then a mechanic came in and said I need lug nuts it is a safety issue and he cannot torque them down. Wanted to charge 55 bucks. I said no then said how about 35 I said no he said how about half. Well I figured most places charge about 20 bucks to rotate and I did not feel like calling him a liar to his face or arguing so I said ok but I want my old lug-nuts back. I have been to ford for service multiple times and they have not said anything about my lug-nuts. While there was a recall it was dismissed by a judge (I looked it up), just before the year of this car on "some" models, I have not received any of that from ford on my car. Also my lug-nuts were fine and did not have a problem. This is called up-sell most low end or dishonest shops do it because many customers know little about cars. Then to top it off (I say that figuratively too) since they over inflated my tires. I despise liars and will certainly never come back there. I was not pressured into buying anything or upgrading. In the end, I decided to purchase four tires instead of two and was quotes a wait time of one hour to one hour and fifteen minutes. Not bad. One thing I really like about this place is that they fix your flat tires, they fill up air in your tires all for free and they are honest and fair with prices if you need any work done. I almost spend $832 (I have a compact SUV so it's about what they cost) on tires with them which is a lot but their service really makes up for it. Great Way to Kill an Afternoon. So....If you make a reservation at a restaurant, say 12:45...you would expect to be seated around that time right? Not at Discount Tire. Make a reservation, which they encourage you to do, and that's the time when they begin to ignore you. My appointment was for 12:45 and an hour later, my truck was still in the parking lot - untouched. I told them to just throw the new tires in the back of my truck, refund the mounting, balancing and tire disposal fee ( $94.00) and I'll be on my way. Went to their competitor and received Nascar style service and was rolling with new treads 15 minutes later. It seems the staff in the shop just has no other spped but S L O W. No sense of urgency or desire for customer service. They may have fair prices my time is worth more than what you save. read more

I highly recommend discount tire on Forest Lane near Webb Chapel. I've had a slow leak of unknown origin for months. My dealership was uninterested/unhelpful with this and I have been airing up every 2 wks for months. I was driving home today, my first day out in several, thanks to the winter storm this week. My low tire indicator lighted up. I considered just going home and inflating it tomorrow. The shop was still open and I decided not to procrastinate. Yay! I had a nail, a screw and a valve stem leak. When I arrived, my tire was almost flat. Guess how happy I was not to be changing a tire on the side of the road in THIS horrible weather! Very happy. The technician walked me to my car, explained how they patched and repaired and reset my tire pressure sensor. I asked what I owed them, wanting to compensate them. He said you owe nothing. Then he let me know that they had adjusted the air pressure in all of my tires. I said, I'm sorry, did you just say you aired up my other tires too? Yes. My car was still in the garage w the lift under it but down. I said, "Am I backing my car out of here?" He said "yes, it's raining outside. We didn't want you to get wet. I will direct you out." Wow! Would have got a 5 star because they had great service and was polite and timely but 2 weeks later I got a another flat due to someone putting on a damage sensor and bad stem. They looked out though and luckily I opted for the warranty which I recommended for everyone. I do a lot off driving especially in Texas and there is always construction. I've been to Discount Tires once before so I already knew that they'd be the best to service me after I busted 3 wheels & tires in 3 days.............. Joe & John were amazing. They made the best of my unfortunate situation & assured me (and reassured me) of what they would do to help me. Joe surveyed my car & it was really easy for him to assess exactly what I needed. He also gave me a VERY thorough quote before actually proceeding with the work. I couldn't stay and wait for the servicing (my own work, of course) so Joe kept my number handy and gave me a courtesy call when everything was finished and done. They were also offering a special Buy 3, Get 1 wheels or tires free (size specific) that just so happened to fit my ride. It was all too easy.
