DISCOUNT TIRE & AUTO IS CONVENIENT, FAST, REASONABLY PRICED AND INCREDIBLY TRUSTWORTHY! I had been to my usual NTB in Plano to simply repair a tire that was leaking and obviously had a nail or screw in it. NTB told me the tread was too low to repair it and I would need TWO new front tires at a total cost of $444! Something told me they were lying to me so I took it to Discount Auto & Tire instead. BEST DECISION EVER!!! Mando was absolutely amazing and incredibly honest. He took the tire off with our plans to replace it, but he located the huge nail and he said there was nothing wrong with the tread and it could definitely be repaired. Problem solved for only $40 versus the $444 that the liars at NTB quoted me. If I could rate them with no stars I would. I went in there location on 6/10 to get my a/c serviced. At first I was told that the Freon was low and needed to be refilled. After they allegedly attempted to refill it I was told that didn't work and would need to replace my compressor and valves. I was quoted $1250 for parts and labor and charged $60 for a diagnostic test. However, not test was ran other than the mechanic standing over my car. I took it else and they refilled the Freon and my a/c was back blowing cold. Please don't waste your time or money here. I only went because it was in the area, but never again. read more

If I could put zero stars I would This place is absolutely terrible Mondo the owner / manger or whatever he is was very unprofessional. Our car was service but once we picked the car up the horn was no longer working . I'm not sure if his mechanic left some loose screws or what but this was not acceptable at all . Once I went to address this problem Mando , began to raise his voice as if I'm not a man to . You could clearly see the anger in his face . As he talked he clenched his fist. I advise you to stay far away from this place for auto work. I drove to this place well over 6x after being told to come back to service the horn . As I said the horn was working before. I went in at 5:15 to see if they could put air in my tire and check the tire because the psi was low . From the start the person that was there was very rude and told me they were closed already in a very rude tone .before going in I made sure to check what time they closed and it said 6 on their website. Discount could not (through no fault of theirs) find another Continental tire to match my set which were rated an 8. We called Continental Tire together, the tire was out of stock for months. We worked out a fair price to replace all four tires. The savings were considerable and while I spent more money, the team also extended a very fair offer for hardly worn (10k miles) tires, although 3 years old. This is my sole source for tires. I have been here with a friend who was tire shopping a few times. These guys have been helpful and professional every time. They are also very informative if you have questions or concerns and even when my friend had trouble with one of his tires that he had purchased elsewhere, they took their time and helped him understand what was going on, knowing full well for him to truly resolve his issue he would have to return to where he purchased his tires, because they did not carry the brand he bought, so they could not warranty them. Stopped by On October 5, 2019 in the morning to replace a flat tire, initially we were on our way to the State Fair right before my tire blew out, we exited Valley View and HWY 35 and this Shop was right off the HWY- Discount Tire and Auto. I met with the Owner Mando and the Mechanic Adam who immediately drove my Vehicle into the bay and informed me they could not repair my tire, because the tire was severely damaged, so I allowed them to sell me two tires and was surprisingly happy that the price- quote on the two tires were very competitive to what I saw online at other near by shops. I was very happy and satisfied with the work they provided in a timely manner and their professionalism but yet courteous manner impressed my wife and I and the kids. I had to replace my brakes on my 2014 Jag, I checked with the dealer and 2 other "Jag" specific mechanics and was quoted outrageous prices just to replace the brakes, I was skeptical about letting Discount Auto & Tire do the job but I took the risk and am glad I did. Mando let me drop the car off and had someone drive me back to my job (not far from the location). Whole process took a little over an hour to handle. I showed them my flat tire that had something like a drill bit embedded in it. I didn't know if it could be fixed so I showed it to the guy there and he assured me that he could fix it. A few minutes later he gave me back the tire with a plug in it and said that it would not hold. That would be five dollars. What? I asked why he was charging me five dollars when he did not fix the tire. He said that it was repaired because they had put a plug in it and inflated the tire. I said it's not repaired if it doesn't hold air. He still wanted five dollars. I told him that I was a regular customer and bought tires from them a number of times previously. He still wanted his five dollars. I gave it to him, said I wouldn't be back, and wished him a crappy day. read more

Went here on motorcycle yesterday and got a price for used tires for my truck. Showed up today in truck and he said he only had some other used tires way in the back, not the same he should me the day before, totally different area that weren't even worth buying and almost bald tires. Not the decent ones the day before. Almando seems a little shady and untrustworthy in my opinion and I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Quick vehicle service. Reasonably priced. Terrible customer service and no friendliness at all. The manager or owner located in the office looked asleep when I walked in. He also forgot to give me back my car keys when I came to pick my car up. I came to this auto shop back in January to get my inspection done since my sticker had expired. When it came time for my registration, the tax office stated they could not approve it because I had my inspection done too soon. While I'm upset that I'm one of the people caught in the middle of the Two Steps One Sticker time gap, this shop could have advised me since my registration sticker displayed an April expiration. I called the shop about it and he stated that several people have had to come back to get another inspection. This tells me that they know about it, but are choosing not to advise anyone so they get paid twice. The tax office advised me to explain the situation to him to see if I could get the charge waived the second time but he refused to give a free inspection and would only offer a discount. I'll go to another company to get my vehicle inspected, and I'll never come back here. The service isn't very friendly either. read more
