Recently, I had somehow had a larger bolt go into my tire on the way to work. When I arrived and realized what happened, I was in a bit of a panic as I had a major volunteer event that I needed to be to, but I wanted to make sure my tire was repaired so that nothing would happen. Initially, I thought about taking it to the Hyundai shop where I normally go. However, when I mentioned that two of my coworkers both highly recommended this Discount Tires shop both vouching for their amazing service. I went with their recommendation and I am so glad that I did! As a first time customer here, they were very friendly, fast service and were able to help patch and fix my tire at no cost. It was a great experience and thankful for all their expertise. I have bought tires at the Discount Tire store on Inwood Road in Dallas for many years. They encourage customers to bring their vehicles every six months for a free tire rotation and balance, so I made an appointment when I got their reminder email. Last week when I took my minivan in for the free tire rotation and balance, a Discount Tire employee inspected my wiper blades and told me they needed to be replaced. Their price seemed reasonable, so I paid for the new wiper blades and asked for my old ones back. When it was time for my rotation/balance/wiper blade replacement, I noticed that the employees seemed to be in a terrible hurry. After they finished with my minivan, they brought it to the front door for me to pick up. My minivan has three wiper blades: a 26" on the driver's side front, a 19" on the passenger's side front, and a 16" on the back. They handed me two of my old wiper blades, the larger of which was broken. When I looked at my front windshield, I saw that they had replaced both of the front wiper blades with 16" blades! I walked around to the back of my van and found that the back wiper blade had not been replaced. I went inside and told the employee that there was a big problem with the wiper blades. A manager finally came out, and I showed him what had happened. He put the correct size wiper blades on the front. Then I had to show him that one on the back has not been replaced. He put a new one on back there, but apparently didn't install it correctly or at all. When I got home, I turned on the wipers to test them. I saw in the rear view mirror that the one on the back window was swiveling. When I went back there to look, I saw that it had not been correctly installed and was on the verge of falling off. Also, when I took my van to Discount Tire, it had four nice matching chrome valve stem caps. When they got done with it, the two valve stem caps on the passenger's side were missing, so I am going to have to buy another set and put them on. If I had assumed that Discount Tire had done their job right and put the correct size wiper blades on my minivan and had driven home without checking, I would have had a serious visibility problem if I had to drive in a rainstorm. What has happened to this Discount Tire Store? They seem to be in such a frantic hurry that they don't do things right, which can endanger customers. Did they bother to train their employees to replace wiper blades? Or did they train them and the employees were not able to learn? It leaves me wondering why there is vibration when I drive on the highway now, after this most recent appointment at this Discount Tire store. Was the tire rotation and balance also done incorrectly? Is my van dangerous to drive now? I don't know. I am wondering whether I should do business at this Discount Tire store any more. read more

My parents took their car here after being quoted $700 to replace a tire at BMW of Dallas (400 yards away) which they alleged could not be fixed. The staff at Discount Tires was unbelievably courteous and helpful and fixed the tire in under 1 hour and DID NOT CHARGE THEM. The invoice for the repair was $0.00. The staff's only request--for my parents to consider them next time they have tire trouble. It's rare to find this type of service and courtesy. We can't recommend this place enough! read more

My experience here at Inwood Discount Tire has always been great both in customer service and attention to detail. I came in this morning after running over a nail. They got to me quickly, offered a few options such as fixing the flat, buying a comparable tire or ordering the exact same one. It was very cool to have those options. I went with the fix because they patched it up and it performs like new! Could have easily tried to sell me something new but gave me the peace of mind that just patching it up will do the job. Afterwards the tire light was still on, and this being a brand new 2023 Honda CR-V I wasn't quite sure what to do to get it to turn off. One of the associates came out, gave me a quick lesson on the new interface and how to calibrate, and off I went! I have had several negative experiences at the Inwood location. Once they only replaced one front tire but charged me for two. More recently, I had a warranty claim on a front tire which they said was not in stock. They ordered it and were supposed to call to let me know when it came in but nobody ever did. When I called back to follow up, I was told that the one they'd ordered had been sold to someone else. They then ordered another replacement tire which they said was going to arrive in about a week. I called back on the day they told me to and was told that the second tire "got lost." The third tire was then going to take around two weeks to arrive, but my tire was completely flat and I needed use of my vehicle. So I just gave up and went to the dealership and got a replacement tire for $450. I will never give Discount Tire my custom again. They do not honor their commitments. read more

My tires are still under warranty, so I appreciate the fact that they locate all of my information simply by me giving them my name. I had picked up a nail, so my tire had a slow leak. The first day I went they inflated my tires so I could drive safely, and the TPMS light would go off. The day of my appointment, I received speedy service on the patch job. I started out thinking I would write a nasty review about the Inwood Store in Dallas. I wanted to start out my nasty review by telling you first, I estimate I have purchased at least 12 tires, all at Discount Tires, over the past 10 years for my different cars. Obviously, my many purchases in over 5 stores between Austin, Plano and Dallas is an indication I was satisfied. My satisfaction abruptly ended at 3524 Inwood Road in Dallas this past week. But first, after reading almost every single Yelp! review, I can now see each review of the 1 and 2 star ratings are consistent, having to do with poor service, long delays, upsetting customers, disrespectful representatives and so on. Did I say "long delays"? I believe I have found the answer. As a result of this being a profitable store, who looks at customers as the second most important priority and everything else means the same thing...third. Your answer is not to write negative reviews, to yell and complain {even though your complaints did get my attention}. The answer as was often mentioned is to take your business down the street, around the corner, use mom & pop shops {YES!}. Find a store and location that is convenient, a location that cares about you. While everything may not be perfect or as you wish it could be. Try and find a place that understands your needs and attempts to satisfy them. I stand by my previous review but I've upgraded my review based on my recent tire buying experience. I needed new tires and I saw a good July 4 deal online for new tires from corporate Discount Tire and this was the store closest to my work. I made the purchase and thought everything was good, but was told after two days that the tires I had purchased were out of stock. They recommended me purchase tires that we're about $45 more expensive at the store. I begrudgingly paid up, as I didn't want to shop around longer for my tires, which were eorn almost all the way down. After getting home, I expressed frustration with the corporate office for not getting what I got originally an email confirmation for, which was quality tires for $45 less than I paid. Surprisingly, after a day, Terrence, the assistant store manager, actually called me and took the time to explain to me the updated they were having to their online system. He apologized for the trouble and refunded me the difference without much hassle. So good on Terrence for fixing a wrong. I think this is a solid 3 now. I still might go somewhere else for an air check though. And don't come during peak hours, the wait will be over an hour for tire installation. read more

Terrible customer service today. They've been great in the past. Today some clown with Michael on his shirt barely communicated when I asked where my van was. Acted like he was going to get so I got my stuff out of the car my friend was driving. Came back in he said he didn't know where I went ?? Had back surgery 9 weeks ago he says it's down there quarter mile away ! Finally had someone bring it up when I said that's not acceptable. Bought 4 wheels and two tires with the agreement to keep the old wheels and one wheel and tire for the spare. They did but didn't put the spare underneath Left it in the cargo area. My vehicle was damaged during my last visit on Aug '22; the Drivers side mirror and driver's door. Don't go here unless you're looking for negligence and poor customer service. Unfortunately, this review didn't allow for "Zero" stars and I would highly encourage leadership to follow through with their commitments (Because They Said They Would). I'll continue to share this experience on all platforms and during any engagement with family and friends until (corporate) discount tire corrects this event and fix the damages. I was actually instructed to get a quote for repair so their claims department could resolve the incident. They contacted me immediately after Inwood Location incident and committed to having it fixed - here we are 60+ days later, $2K in damages still unrepaired, and was offered $300 credit on my next visit. Update: On 10.3.22 Steve Glass AVP of Discount Tire contacted me regarding the claim and stated I'd be contacted before the end of the day for the next steps. As expected, he failed to deliver on his commitments (2nd Time) and I did not receive a call. On 10.4.22 I received a call from Fleetresponse (Discount Tires Insurance Provider) stating that my claim has been denied and Discount Tire would not be providing the said $300 service credit. This place is amazing! I was visiting Dallas from Austin and was driving home in the morning and I hear my tire pop and my sensors tell me I have a flat. I find this place and get there just before they open at 8am. They open promptly at 8am, greet me and get my car in the bay in a few minutes. Remove my tires, check for any damage, put my tires back on, put air in all my tires, and tell me that all is OK. They didn't try to sell me anything and their customer service was impeccable. I am back on the road in 20 minutes with peace of mind and so thankful for team at this location. If I lived in Dallas, this would be my go-to. read more

This place is legit! I would definitely use them for all my tire needs.. Had a tire tear, which I thought was minor so decided to take it in the next day. Made an online reservation for 8am the next day without any issues and showed up ready to shell out $$$. There were a few people waiting ahead of me and a few more relaxing on their couch. Three guys were attending to customers and each of them would make notes and go inspect the car with the customer. That takes time hence you have to be patient, but at least you get a better assessment of what work needs to be done and what the estimate would be rather than waiting for someone to call you a few hours later. When my turn came, I mentioned that I had made an online appointment, so the service guy could pull up my info. We walked out to inspect he tire and he told me it needed to be replaced. Since I have an all wheel drive, I thought to myself "damn, I probably have to get all 4 tires replaced," but to my surprise, the guy told me that that the other tires had good tread and that I didn't need to replace all. Great!!! They had a replacement in stock (which I knew as I had already checked heir inventory online) and told me it would take them an hour to do. I paid and decided to leave the car there and pick it up later. Rest assured, I got a call in 45 mins telling me that the work was done..... Hooray, this was a painless experience and they didn't oversell me.... since I had already paid at the time of drop off, picking up the car was super easy and I was back in business! They do have a free air check service, which can get backed up... common guys, it's not that hard to do it yourself so don't complain if there is a wait for this free service.
