I've only lived in Fredericksburg for about 2 years. ATA is my always my first choice! I've actually been genuinely disappointed when they don't provide certain services that I needed fixed on my car because I have SO much trust for them. ATA has had multiple opportunities to get over on me in terms of payment and pricing but have always chosen to be upfront and honest. To be more clear, they quoted me close to $700 once and we told them to go ahead and do the repairs, in less than an hour they called me saying my car was finished and that they made a mistake, ending the conversation by letting me know it would only be a little over $100. read more

I can say that based on my experience these people working here are good, honest and reliable. The first time I came here the person on the counter was very nice and friendly he was very detailed telling me what problems they had found the most important things to be fix (urgent and not urgent). Before I came here I went to a different auto shops and compared the advice but this shop beat the other. I also wanted to thank them for being kind and thoughtful because I dropped my metal purse on their waiting area with all of my ID's and ATM cards and they sent it back to my house completely. ATA has been reliable however DO NOT bring a Ford there. My daughter is getting ready to go to college and I called ATA to see if they worked on thermostats and radiators. They said sure. We brought it in and said "oh, we don't work on the Ford Edge". What a waste of time and a joke! I'll never go there again. Great service, said no one ever. But, it doesn't matter. We have been going to ATA for years now. We have always found them honest. One time, when we had very little money, one of their mechanics became concerned about our tires. We could not afford to replace them new, so he looked for and found some used tires in good condition and gave us quite a deal on them. My Only automotive center from now on! I made the mistake of saying I may have heard a faint whistle when I took my Suburban in for an oil change at the dealership. The Chevrolet dealership told me I needed front brakes and rotors. Total cost $500. A mechanic friend suggested ATA for a lower price. Upon inspection at ATA, there was nothing wrong with my brakes. We have been taking our cars here for years to get tires. They know their customers. They give you good advice and don't try to take advantage or up sell. A few years I was told by the WalMart Tire center that a tire could not be repaired. Luckily they didn't have a replacement tire so I called ATA and ordered a new tire which arrived that afternoon. When I got there they looked at the tire and said it could be repaired. They could have just replaced the tire and made more money. Can't say enough about this place. read more

Love this place! Dropped off my car to diagnose and fix a noise I was hearing, replace a TPMS sensor, and then to look over the car and let me know what other services I need done. I walked away with the noise fixed, TPMS sensor replaced, and a coolant flush all for less than what another service place quoted me for just the TPMS sensor replacement! After a horrible 2 hour wait at Sears only to find out that the mechanic on duty could not do the alinement(he didn't have the tools), I went to ATA the following morning. I did have to wait but the employees were friendly there was a TV to watch and they did the job well. Our family has been customers of ATA for over 20 years now. I deal with Forrest and Scott frequently, and in my opinion, are two of the most trustworthy in the business. I recently had 4 tires installed and ball bearing repaired on our Subaru Forrester. When scheduling this, Scott said that it might also need an alignment. I agreed to this if it was needed. In the end, he told me that I did not need the alignment, that the tires were fine. Honesty goes a long way. We don't take our cars anywhere else. :) read more
