Not happy with this discount tire location. I called to see if my tire we had to have special ordered was in. They said yes. I said do I need to make an appointment to have it put on? They said no just come down. I asked is this a good time? They said yes. I came down right away as I live very close. They said it would be about an hour. I said ok I will wait. Then while waiting after an hour I noticed my car hadn't even gone in yet. Then a man who came in after me got his car first after he had purchased 4 tires. I did not see myself writing reviews for a franchised discount tire store when I first started yelping.... however when you are treated this well you have to tell others! So I was kind of broke last week (probably eating out too much) and I got a flat, not only a flat but most my tires were really worn out.... it was time for new tires, dang. So into Discount Tire I go head hung low, I have to throw down major coin for some tires.... my car has larger than normal tire.... aka $$$$$. So I explain to the gentleman behind the counter my predicament, he kindly helps me select a good set of tires. I'm in and out in like an hour and $450 more poor. So why am I writing a review? Well I flew home to Cali the next day (after dropping my car off at the body shop to get a bumper fixed.... bad month) I return Saturday pick my car up Monday and then Monday night after watching the D'Back's get slaughtered, I get out to my car to discover ANOTHER flat!!! Uhg, put the spare back on, and discover at some point I had driven over a nail, dag'um.... my now flat (near cheapest) tire they sell at Discount Tire store will surely not be replaced for free, it is not THEIR fault that I ran over a nail, that's not a manufacture problem right. Well I took it in the next day and in about half an hour (they had to send someone to a nearby Discount Tire Store to get another one of my tires) they had a new tire on my car, they checked all my air pressures and put away my spare for FREE!!! The store manager Jaz was totally on top of everything! In addition to being a great conversationalist, he was upbeat and friendly with new customers while also checking in on his team to see how things were going. I was very impressed with how smooth the whole shop ran. The wait time was shorter than I expected (about 30 minutes when I expected an hour at least) and once they had my car in the shop, it was done in ten minutes! 10/10 service! I first called this place when I realized that my car's tires could now be used as slicks at the races. I spoke with Andrew who has a very condescending, not-friendly tone that sounds like he doesn't trust women with their own cars. I gave him my tire size (I've been single for awhile, I'm very familiar with how tires work) and the brand that was on the car. He looked them up and gave me a price. I told him I'd come by and pay because he'd have to get them from a warehouse. In the meantime I called another tire store and they were selling the tires for about $5 less. It's not a big deal, but $10 is $10. Discount says they match prices, but when I told him I found them cheaper elsewhere, but they couldn't get them as fast as Discount Andrew seemed to forget their price matching promise. Never got the difference between the two. Anyway, as soon as I got there I introduced myself as the person that Andrew spoke with. He brushed past me and proceed to 'verify' that I had given him the right tire size. That felt wrong and I told him that I gave him the right size, but again he was just 'verifying' (that I wasn't some dumb chick that had no idea about tires apparently) that I had given him the right numbers. I had, by the way. The process was ultra fast and when I got annoyed with Condescending Andrew then things went a little smoother. I would have given this store higher marks, but being treated like a dumb girl just didn't do it for me and I also like for store policies to be adhered to and not ignored when pointed out. I called on Saturday to get a quote on my tires after receiving a quote from the Discount Tires on Market Street and from San Tan Ford. Wasn't real happy that I needed new tires and I wished I had known about this before Memorial Day so I could have taken advantage of some holiday savings. Needless to say, I felt pressured from the Market Street guy that he'll give me a $50 discount on 4 Michelin Defender tires for my '14 Ford Focus, but I had to pay for them that day, before I could bring my car in. My car was already at the Ford dealership getting servicing and I was out of town. Though I have gotten for many years my tires at Discount Tires on all my cars, I felt uncomfortable doing this. This Val Vista & Ray Discount Tires, it's been a hit or miss with this store. Sometimes I get great service, other times, not. However, i called them and Andrew gave me a better out the door price than the Market Street and I was not pressured to pay for my tires until I was actually going to get them on. I asked if he would still give me that price if I came in later in the week and he said yes. I had made an appointment for 11 am for Wednesday, but my husband wanted the tires on the car today (Monday). So, I called in about 8:30 am and spoke with Todd to bring my car in about 11 am. Mike helped me as Todd was busy on the phone. Mike was very friendly and said my total would be $548.48, which I had written down Saturday it was $548 when talking with Andrew. Before coming in, I thought they would try to get me to get a Discount Tires credit card, which I did not want one. They did not do that. In fact, the sales transaction was so quick and it was over in just a few minutes. They put new tires on my Focus in about 45 minutes. I was out the door. I had asked Andrew while waiting for my car why he was able to get me a better deal than the Market Street store. He said that he knew there would be a $70 rebate on the Michelin tires starting Sunday and knew that when I came in, that coupon would be on. Also, that was a $70 mail in rebate, which I did not have to mail it in, rather, they gave me the discount on the spot and Discount Tires would mail in the rebate on their end. That saved me the hassle. Andrew did a great job at listening to what I wanted, which the guy at the Market Street did not. Andrew saved me money, didn't pressure me into doing something I didn't want, and everything from bringing in my car, paying for things, leaving was super easy. The store was super cool - very nice A/C, in fact, a little cold, but nice compared to the Arizona heat. I had to run a bunch of errands after Discount Tires and those Michelin Defenders are very nice. The car rides much smoother and quieter. Just wanted to brag a bit on the location. We had some new tires put on about six months ago on our Mustang, we had a horrible experience with our service at the time the store manager Jazz had just taken over the store and handled my issues like a true gentleman. his customer service was so outstanding that I decided to over look everything and move on, fast forward to April 2020 we looked in the trunk and found out the nightmare was far from being over my spare tire was mixed up six months ago and looked like a mangled mess. I reached back out to Jazz and not only did he remember me from six months ago but he dropped everything he was doing to make it right, no questions he took care of me and did everything he could to help. He went above and beyond to fix the issue! Outstanding! People are not perfect I get that however it's how you handle situations that make the difference. The store at Cooper/Warner is just a joke! The warning light came on that my tire pressure was low, so I went in to get air. The last time I was there, the guy told me that I had better watch my right front tire. It was really bad. Oh, yeah? My tires were less than a year old!!! This time he told me the tread was getting bad (it was at the halfway mark) and the right rear tire was bad. Really??? My tires are now a year and a half old and I only drive less than 3,000 miles a year locally!!! I watched him the whole time while he was putting air in my tires, then he put the air hose back and showed me a card with my supposed bad readings on it. At NO time did I see him filling out anything!!! It was obviously done before I even got there. WHAT'S GOING ON???? Hello, I would like to preface this review by stating that my employer essentially leases my vehicle from me while I am working. Part of my job responsibilities include driving to different locations with clients in my vehicle. It is crucial to my livelihood that I have a functioning vehicle. This was explained to the manager at Store# AZP46 during my visit. Around a year ago I purchased wheels and tires at Discount Tire in amount of close to $2500.00. Less than a year later (more than half tread left on tires) my vehicle began to shake violently and pull the steering to the right. It was not safe to drive especially while at work with clients in my vehicle. I first brought the truck to an alignment shop. They did an inspection(at my expense) and stated that two of my tires were bulging causing the shaking in the front end of the vehicle. Next, I brought the vehicle to Discount in Scottsdale. I was told I would be credited for the tread left on the tires but would have to pay the difference for the replacements. Next, the tires would not be in for over a week and a half. As the truck was not safe to drive at this point I went without a vehicle. This was a huge inconvenience both personally and professionally. Approximately a month after picking my truck up (two new tires in rear/two old tires moved to front) the same violent shake was occurring. I brought my vehicle to 1546 Ray Rd. and spoke with the manager. I explained to him that the tires are obviously defective and that this has already caused me a great inconvenience once. He was assuring me that they would take care of me and rectify the situation. He showed me a few different styles that were comparable but more reliable. After going with his recommendation he finishes up the paperwork and says that will be $1100.00. I was shocked, his solution to the faulty tires that Discount Tire sold me was for me to pay $1100.00 for new tires. He explained that all Discount Tire was willing to compensate me for was the exact amount they would be compensated for by Atturo. In other words, Discount is willing to take no responsibility for the faulty tires they sold unless they are being compensated by the supplier. I stopped the manager and said, "Just so I'm hearing this correctly, my multiple trips to a shop and discount, the 2 weeks I went without a vehicle mean really nothing as all your willing to do is credit me for the tread left on my tires and I pay the difference on any other purchase.?" He stated, and I quote,"well, that's life." I was certainly not purchasing $1100.00 worth of tires when if the tires were not faulty I would have had tires with more than half their life left. I purchased two of the exact same tires that were failing. I obviously explained I really don't want to be in this same situation next year and would rather have a more reliable tire but he was leaving me with no choice. Again, he explained the tires were special order and would take day's to get there. I am back in the same situation without a vehicle for work, waiting on the arrival of the same faulty tires. I have been a customer of Discount for 20 years and send my wife's car, daughter's car and my vehicle in for tires. I have always had nothing but great things to say to many of my friends and colleagues in the construction profession about Discount Tire. This experience has definitely changed my perspective. I did not go into the store looking to get rich. I feel Discount Tire sold me a bad set (brand) of tires, they are failing and have caused me a lot of inconvenience. I feel compensation for that in the form of supplying me (not charging me $1100.00 which is more than I paid for the entire set brand new) with a reliable set of tires close to what I have was fair. read more

I just got new tires for my car and the guys here were very professional and answered all of my questions on top of the reviews that I had already done before hand. I had an appointment for 11:30 and when I showed up, there were many people already there that I was worried that it would take a long time to get my car taken care of. I was wrong. My car was done in 30 minutes. I was very happy to see that even the window blind was up after they had worked on my car as I am very weird about keeping the sun off my black dashboard. I highly recommend using this Discount Tire. My wife called me from this store and told me about the condition of her her tires. I spoke to the store manager and he let me know what the situation was and expressed concern about my wife's safety leaving the store with the tires in their current condition. The picture attached is what one of them looked like. He looked up my account and broke down the pricing for me and was extremely willing to help us get two tires necessary to leave safely. I'm impressed with the amount of customer service they provided, especially because they had to work after closing hours to put the new tires on. I will always choose Discount Tire when it comes to putting my vehicles on the road. I may just make special trips to this location from now on. I was referred to Joey Nelson by a friend of mine. Even though I live in North Phoenix, my friend suggested that I would get the best service by contacting Joey Nelson who I found out is the assistant store manager at this location. I waited 10 months for my Ford Maverick to be built and I communicated to Joey atleast a dozen times during the process. He was always looking for custom wheels and tires for me to make my Maverick my own. Finally, I was notified that the truck had arrived and we scheduled a 8:00 delivery with a meeting with Joey at 10:00 am. The salesman did not show up at the Ford dealership and there ended up being a recall that needed to be fixed before I could take possession of the truck. I notified Joey and said it would be tomorrow. Joey was so understanding and immediately said then I will see you tomorrow. When I arrived, he was in plain clothes and he shared that it was his day off. I immediately felt terrible and he assured me how important I was to him and Discount Tire. He had two sets of different size tires and two different wheels. He installed both so I could see which one that I preferred. During the hour, I witnessed Joey assisting the tire technician with installing my new wheels and tires. Not only did Joey come in on his day off but he installed a couple of tires so I could get out even quicker. They have a lane dedicated to just checking your air and filling you up:) Only problem, I forgot to have them check my spare. They repaired and replaced all the broken rims and poorly balanced tires on my 335i BMW in less than an hour.....and I paid .025% of what I was paying my BMW Dealer Service Techs to screw up , never fix properly, and complain about how it was all 'my fault'. I still really like Discount Tire as a company, but am upset at this location after today's experience. I always buy tires with tread warranty, but I find out 18 months and 17k miles later when my tires are down to 2/32", that this location did not install the tires I thought I was getting. Same brand, but slightly different model with no tread warranty. I don't know if it was malicious, or a mistake, or laziness to not special order, but I'm out for an entire set of tires thanks to this location. So still use DT, but try a different location or at least triple check everything is right. Same brand, same size, can vary and I wouldn't trust them to do it right. read more

Discount Tires does some things very well, sell tires, get cars in and out very quickly and professionally. If there is a problem with the tires that isn't typical, their customer service skills and professionalism weren't apparent to me... I purchased a set of wheels and tires for my truck in July of 2011, have had a constant vibration at highway speeds since these were installed (until this past Wednesday, new tires from Firestone, they match prices too, go figure). Returning week after week (I work during the week, would go here on Saturdays) didn't solve it, they'd re-balance, tell me they were going to torque the rims with the vehicle up in the air, tell me they would do a road force balancing, etc. then blame the truck! I have lifetime alignments on the truck, every 5k there is an oil change, alignment adjustment and rotate and balancing. Front end has been checked by Nissan, Firestone and yours truly. I don't think things have changed that much in the industry from 15 years ago where I would call the manufacturer of the tire and work out a pro-ration and exchange for a different type of tire (customer pays for tread used) when a tire just doesn't work on a vehicle or someone isn't satisfied with the tires. I was at the point where I was ready to purchase 2 new to replace the worn and talk to Yokohama about pro-rating the other 2. Almost 3 years of "trying", we're done. Straw the broke the camel's back though was their selective measurement of the tire tread. 4 months ago, I was measured at 5/32nds (new is 10-12 and legally bald is 2-3). 2 months later I bring her to Discount to see how much I'll get for the mileage warranty and was told the tires are at 6/32nds.... no way they can do a mileage warranty. They wouldn't measure the center that was showing wear bars. I leave... 2 weeks later, have the truck at Firestone for her alignment and oil change, they measure the rear tires at 4/32nds and find a nail in a sidewall of one of them. OK, 4/32nds at FS, 6/32nds at DT, let's go use my replacement certificate. Of course, when measuring for a road hazard replacement, they only measure the center which is at 2/32nds. NOW he wants to talk mileage warranty?!??!?! Now I know why that lady threw her tire of the store in their commercials =). Ever not satisfied, just bring it back...? I tried, then I spent my hard earned money elsewhere. read more

Service was great, Staff steals parts off your vehicle. When I addressed it with staff, he became an expert on my vehicle and stated the parts were never there. I told him to pull the video in the bays, to verify that the parts where missing or observe his staff stealing. He said they don't have that capability. Which I find hard to believe because of all the tools, liability issues etc... I'll still continue to use Discount Tire, just not this store.... Sad. read more

My family has gone here many times before. Today, I got a flat tire driving to school. My tire tread completely blew on my truck. I have a lifted truck with 35's. I took it to this discount and saw they had my tires in a smaller size, but mine were much bigger- 35x12.5x18. They didn't carry it in the store, but said I could leave my truck there and they'd order the same tire and have it on my truck before they close. When I got there, they said my spare tire was from 1997, my truck is a 2006...they ended up putting a newer spare on for free! Great experience with Discount Tire once again! read more
