I was having a rough morning with serious tire issues. I very slowly made my way to a service station to fill a partially flat tire. Since I had paid for five minutes of air, I decided to check my other tires. Within less than a mile, a different tire was flat. Completely flat. I waited an hour for roadside assist who filled the tire with air and told me to hurry across the street to Discount Tire and tell them to check the stem. I honestly didn't know what to expect. I figured they would tell me to make an appointment. However, Chris went straight to my vehicle, checked it out, fixed it and sent me on my way less than 10 minutes. And he would not accept any money. That's a real class act. I will definitely be back in fact I made an appointment to have tires replaced within the next week. read more

I am soo impressed with the level of customer service at this store. I went in today because I had a slow leak in one of my tires. They not only patched the leak for me, but also took the time to reset all of the tire sensors (that the last tire place screwed up) to the correct tire. Never having dealt with a Discount Tire in Phoenix before (only in Texas, and their service has been great all the time), I came in not knowing what kind of service to expect. I was pleasantly surprised! The store had a good amount of parking, and the store front was clean, open and had adequate seating around the perimeters. There were already 5-6 people sitting and waiting for their cars to be finished, and 2 people waiting infront of me to see a representative. All the guys working there were busy helping someone, yet were saying hello to us and reassuring they'd get to us very soon. I didn't wait an unneccesary amount of time and then was helped by Wally. He inspected my tires, recommended a plan of action gave me options, and we headed back into the store. After I made my decision to replace 2 of the tires, he checked their stock, and unfortunately they didn't have them there. BUT he called another store and had them picked up for the next morning, so I could just come back the next day to this same store and get those bad boys installed. Great! The prices were not as heafty (relief), and although there were a good amount of people the next day waiting for their cars to also be serviced, it took exactly the amount of time they'd told me (45 min). They apologized for the wait, but no need for that! The guy who helped me on the 2nd day (I'm sorry I forgot his name) was also very professional and great. I recommend this store and will be bringing my car here in the future most definitely. Thanks, guys! TIP: If you know you need to bring your car in, you can make an appointment with them online. I am not a fan of getting any car work done as I feel I am always told multiple things are horribly wrong with every part of my (brand new) car. My low pressure light was on and I needed to get it checked. The gentleman who helped me at this location was so friendly and so kind. I left a dealership service department with a recommendation to get my tire patched. I called Giovanni at Discount Tire at 5:59PM when they closed at 6:00PM. He did not hesitate in telling me to come anyway and that they would take care of me. They unlocked the shop to let me in, fixed my tire for FREE, and made sure my tires were safe for travel. It was nice to see such kindness and genuine care for customers. I will drive across town when I need tires, because they went out of their way to take care of me and build a positive relationship. I stopped in yesterday right before closing as my tire which had been losing air for awhile, was almost flat. The dealer and one other place had already recommended 4 new tires as they were all pretty bad. I knew I needed tires but had been putting it off. When Discount gave me the quote it was slightly higher than one I had already gotten. I had an email of that quote and Discount agreed on the spot to match it...actually ended up being less. Horrible customer service. Walked in with my friend to get new tires of course. The line was so long it was to the end of the door only 3 workers inside. We were told it would be 1 1/2 half wait time for 2 tires, which was fine. We said that we would come back and if they would call us when it is ready to be pick up, they said yes not a problem. Almost three hours later, I noticed it was going to be 6 pm, they close at 6pm! So we called and they said the car was ready, and the guy stated " we didn't call you?!" Well no I have no missed calls my phones been on ring right by my side. We had to rush down the store before they closed so We would be able to get the keys and not be stranded with no car for work. Get there with 10 mins to spare and I noticed the car was on?!?!?!?! My friend goes inside to get her keys comes out and I tell her car has been on for sometime now. She goes inside and the older man, much older, is saying they were probably In a rush and they just left the car on. Or maybe they didn't know it was a push to start button?!?! Ok seriously sir it's 2016 almost 2017 . You left the car running for an unknown amount out of time!!!!! The car almost overheated its 102 degrees outside and worse the car was unlocked. The guy then said" the worse could happen to your car was wasting gas and that's it" I'm sorry my gas is premium gas not unleaded so it's not cheap and no that is not the worse that can happen to the car, besides over heating the battery,wasting premium gas, carbon monoxide poisoning, and wait the worse someone could have stolen what was inside the car and attempted to steal the Lexus. I seriously can't believe this happened. I have been going to discount tires for YEARS!!! Do not go here , they are careless with your car. One star because that what I HAVE to give. read more

VERY FRUSTRATED. I needed have all 4 tires replaced but I needed to be done in 2 hours 20 minutes so I could make it to another appointment. The guy promised me they would be done in about 90 minutes. I asked him 3 times. At the 90 minute mark my car hadn't been touched. I asked about it, and another guy promised me I would make my 2pm appointment. My car wasn't driven into the garage until 1:55pm... 2 hrs 10 after I arrived. I understand Saturday's are busy and it takes a long time. But don't make promises you can't keep. Especially when it is 30 minutes until my next appointment. I could have left and come back. No apologizes. No one cares. I guess they got my business so they didn't care about my time. Now I have to take a day off work to make up my other appointment. The guys were nice and friendly, but that made it worse. It's like getting a speeding ticket from a super friendly officer. If you are doing to do something that costs me money, don't be nice. Be a jerk. It makes it all make more sense. read more

I'm not a fan of rating anyone on these sites. Typically it's just a place for people to go and bitch because they were not catered to as they thought they should have been. This store manager, whose name is Chad, needs to be acknowledged. Last Wednesday I found out I had to make an emergency trip for work to Tucson. My tires were ok, but they were not safe for 75-80 mph on I-10. Because I was already at work and had little time to prepare, I asked my parents to do the leg work for me. They live less than 2 miles from this store. When they arrived, they explained my situation to Chad. Because I drive a dually, 6 tires are not easy to come by on such short notice. Chad went above and beyond by not only tracking them down, but going to pick them up personally. When I arrived, they were ready to go with less than 2 hours before the store closed. Not only did Chad go beyond the call of duty to secure 6 large tires, but also felt it was necessary to apologize for the time it took to mount them. No need for apologies sir. I've owned dual wheel trucks most of my driving life. It always takes a while to balance and mount 6 tires. That said, they were still done faster than other competing stores around the area. If I wasn't already a lifelong Discount Tire customer, I would be now. I owe a great deal of gratitude to Chad and his staff for making sure this purchase and install was seamless. read more

My wife's tire popped a days ago and I was like great, that's gonna be another 150 bucks to replace. So I called them and asked how much is it to repair a tire and they said "if I can fix it, it won't cost a thing!" I was shocked! So I brought it down and explained that I didn't have the money to buy a new so they gave me a used tire for free! And told me to come on down when i get paid again to buy a new tire, and im gonna do exactly that! These people really care about they're customers and ensure the best service. One of the best service ever. Today I stopped by to fix a flat on my Polaris Ranger tire. One of the managers greeted me and witching 5 min my tire was ready to go. It appeared that my valve stem center piece was lose. They replace it to be safe and offer to carry the tire to my car. They didn't even accept any money for the service. You don't get these type of service everywhere. GM Steve makes sure that EVERY customer is happy before they leave. I know there are a lot of Discount Tire stores around but if you want a great service come to this location. They will take care of you. read more

If I could give this place no stars I would. I have one to Discount Tire since I had my first car when I was 16. It seems like they care more about trying to sell you tires than you actually getting around safe on the road. I have taken my car to two Discount Tire locations this one and the one on 43rd Ave & Bell multiple times within the past 5 months. I have told this location that my tire pressure light has kept coming on since I have brought it in. So they told me my tire had a nail in it and must have only checked that tire because they said drive around for a while and the light will go off. The light went off for a day and then came back on so made another appointment. When I went in for that appointment they told me I had a nail in the tire but it was the opposite tire on the same side from the other one that had a nail. They did not check all of my tires when I had brought it in even though that is what I made the appointment for. So when I decided to take it to the location on 43rd and Bell they told that my tires but have never been rotated because the tread was really low on the two front tires. Even the worker at 43rd and Bell told me they were a little odd over at the one on 79th and Bell. So no one at this location ever offered to rotate my tires of said anything about it. Then my tire pressure light came on after going to that location so I called the one on 79th and Bell and explained what was going on and they guy told me it sounds like I have a nail in my tire and I should just bring it in and they could patch it up without even looking at my tire or listening to my situation. So I took it to the free tire pressure check area and he said my tire was a little ow but he could not see anything wrong with it. Finally I just took it to the car dealer ship and I had a nail in it this whole time. I will not be returning to Discount Tire even though my family and I have been using them for years now. read more

Wow, very disappointed with recent visit to rotate tires. I simply wanted them to rotate tires front to rear since front tires started showing wear on outer edge, a normal condition caused by the extra weight of the engine/transmission, rotating of tires while turning and rolling of tire sidewalls by natural forces while cornering and turning. The outer edges always wear down and is one main reasons to rotate tires for even distribution of wear. Kyle walked to my vehicle and looked at the back tires and measured tread depth which was good. He looked at the left front and saw wear on the outer edge and stated, "your tires bad, the cords are separating from the tire pushing the rubber up, your tires are getting ready to blow up and explode, really". Wow, nothing could be farther from the truth, me tires have normal wear and were/are not going to explode. I believe he was trying to scare me to death to get me to buy new tires. I'm a retired mechanic and had I been somebody who is not familiar about what constitutes unusual wear and tear, I would probably be scared and end up purchasing new tires, wasting my hard earned money. I've seen this sort of scare tactic many times and I'm always on the lookout for them, plus I try to teach people what to look out for, especially situations of this type.
