I have been a customer of Discount Tire since I needed a flat fixed in Yuma. There was no charge, and I have been a customer ever since. Today, I discovered that their free flat repair goes beyond. I got a flat on a local freeway. I have no idea how long I was riding on the inside tread at 70 mph. When I used the compressed gunk that came with the car, I got a leak at the valve stem. So, I had to call AAA to get towed to the nearest DD. I was expected to have to buy new tires (I learned the hard way NEVER to buy just one tire, unless it is an exact replacement) Apparently my tread survived, and the tech rebuilt the valve and sensor WITH NO CHARGE!!! I was expecting to have to pay for a rebuilt sensor, but no!!! read more

They work real hard to get the customer in and out. They honor the warranty. No matter how busy, they always take the time to greet & help a customer. Very disappointed in the level of customer service provided here! Discount Tires philosophy of being "trusted experts" does not apply to this location! I was dealt with some unknowledgeable staff members and after the service I received today, I do not feel confident about their expertise level at all. I went in needing to get new tires and after paying $400 for TWO tires, I should have received better customer service than I did, but I was so wrong. The man who helped me said it should only take an hour and possibly an hour and a half at most. I said that was fine. I asked them to call me when my car was finished because I had some errands to run. 2 hours and 40 minutes later, they still never called. They close at 6 and it was 20 minutes till 6pm. I called and the man that answered the phone said my car was ready and stated to me that they close at 6pm. If they would have called me when my car was ready, I would have been there to get it! Who knows if they would have called or not! On top of that, I walked in to retrieve my keys and when I walked out to my car, I noticed my car engine was running. WHY WAS MY ENGINE ON AND HOW LONG WAS IT RUNNING FOR??? It could have been running for hours! No one knew my car was on and they never bothered to call me when the tires were done so I don't know how long they finished and how long ago my car was running for! Saddened and disappointed by the lack of knowledge and unprofessionalism, I talked to a man that worked there about my frustrations and asked why my car engine was on and how long it had been on for. He said leaving my car engine on couldn't have done any damage to my car. AGAIN, lack of knowledge and many things can go wrong with leaving your car IDLE for possibly HOURS! Their excuse for leaving my car on was because they aren't used to push to start cars. EXCUSE ME BUT THIS IS 2016! Push to start has been out for years now and if you guys are "trusted experts" like the company philosophy then there is no excuse, or it just proves that the workers here have no idea what they are doing and only operate on older cars. Also, My car makes an external chirp when the engine is left on and the key fob is away from the car so that also proves that the guy who drove my car out and left it running was in a rush because he did not hear the chirp signal that it sounds!! Sometimes they were able to fix the problem free, sometimes I had to purchase a new tire. I had a blowout yesterday and had to leave my car because a replacement tire had to be ordered(this type of car doesn't come with a spare) had to leave it overnight. The customer service is horrible. I took my Ford transit Van in at 9am this morning and purchased 6 michelin tires. I was told it would definitely be done by the end of the day.. About 2:30, I called and was put on hold for 15 minutes and hung up frustrated. I called back and asked mateo to have Ben call me back, he never did. So I drove back down 30 minutes to find out nothing had been done on the Van, but that the tires had just arrived and it would be done forthwith. So my wife and I did some errands for an hour, came back, nothing have been done. Jordan told me that the tires had just come in a 1/2 an hour before, so which was correct? They had also told me it would take an hour to put the tires on and they close at 6. It is now 5:38 p.m., and they have just wheeled the Van into the bay. The bay sliding door was not totally raised, and it scraped the top of the Van until someone finally raised it. My biggest problem was that Jordan treated me as if I was the stupid one, and that he was the smartest one in the room. When I tried to explain that I was the customer, he proceeded again to explain why I was stupid! "See, it is right here on the computer. " So you Mr customer are wrong and we can prove it. ..."and don't worry, it only takes 20 minutes to put all 6 on." It's been almost an hour and they are not close to being finished...another lie from the smartest man in the room! Now,they are hurrying the process to get done by closing. I have a 400 mile tour I'm driving tomorrow and have zero confidence they've done a good job. I spent well over $1,000 for the tires and will never trade at that location again. read more

(32psi instead of the 65psi recommended on a 3/4 ton 8lug work truck) to leaving hubcaps off the rims and me having to take another trip to go pick them up . Very bad service. I went in today to get my air checked and waited for quite a while. The line was backed up and the man running air checks (Nicholas) seemed to be going slower than I have experienced at other locations. Nicholas was very rude and rolled his eyes at me on two occasions. He spoke to me in a rude tone and was very unprofessional. I have been associated with discount since 1973 and have since been an extremely loyal customer to this very day! Due to my experience and relationship with this company, I felt it was important that I express my experience today at this store. My day started at 3pm today (12/5) due to low air pressure. Within that time I was there for more than a couple hours. In that time, I wasn't notified about the status or progress until I inquired about my car. The employee was EXTREMELY rude to me and my daughter. I wasn't unable to get his name because his "shift was over and had to go" what kind of service is that? This isn't what I've been used to. I was sent to the dealership to get my car fixed. I felt disrespected and belittled. As two women, I felt unimportant and less to him. Cast aside and not a priority and my treatment was so bad I walked out. Safe to say I won't be back... to this store. One amazing experience in a difficult situation. The management and staff came through for me and I'm so grateful. Long story short, I was working an event from 4 to 10 pm and unfortunately, my tire went dead from a screw at 3 pm. I managed to get my truck to the Bell Road Location. With a backup of customers the tire couldn't be repaired immediately with no time to get to work. I explained my problem and management listened and acted. The manager suggested leaving the truck, he dropped me off at the work site. The tire was fixed. They dropped my car off at the work site. Work ended at 10 pm and the car was sitting where they told me it was and my truck was operable as if nothing ever happened without disruption to my work commitment. These people are special. I had a flat, went into discount on 75th. & Bell Road to get it fixed, unfortunately it was not fixable so I told them to put the spare on. My car had a full size spare with a specialty wheel, same as the ones on my vehicle. They took my spare and put a regular spare. When I went back to let them know that that was not the spare I had all they said was that it was what I had in my car, which clearly was not as we had a new full size tire with specialty wheel in our car. Never again going back to this location, and definitely would not recommend to anyone. read more

I arrived around 8:15 in need of a new tire: donut was on currently. Mateo was very nice, provided good information, and told me my estimated time was 45 minutes with an hour on the outside. Two hours later my car was done. I would have planned my time differently were I told it was going to be an hour longer than what they told me. Realistic time expectations is key in customer service: under promise and over deliver. I received the opposite. The cost was also just ok. I don't see anything discounted about $123 per tire for mid-range. read more

Noticed nails sticking out the side of the tire when we stopped for lunch on the way back to LA and came here since it was a block from where we ate. Finally getting around to posting this review I wrote a couple years ago about this location, still haven't gotten over this one.... I have been a loyal customer to Discount tires for over a decade. I went to this location because it was the closest and dealt with Frank . Bad choice...my Mercedes was losing air in a tire so I went in. After about 20 minutes the associate came in and told me that all my tires were bad and I needed to buy 4 new Tires. I told him I couldn't afford to invest $1000 in new tires at the moment, so I asked if I could just repair the defected tire and I'll come back when I can the new set. He told me he could legally not put my tires back on and then handed me a credit application. I was shocked I was being extorted at Discount tire...After I pulled myself together, I reached in my glove box and pulled out my original tire paperwork. I showed the manager the remaining factory warranty on my Pirelli tires AND the Discount tire warranty I purchased, I HAD BOTH. I was then told they would " make it right." After waiting for another 2 hours, they pull my car around with Kumbos, not Pirelli tires and hand my keys to me as they smiled. I was furious, as that's not what I had purchased. Kumbos are not the same as Pirellis. Completely offended, they would assume because I'm a female maybe that I wouldn't know the difference, wrong. I'm aware of the difference, I paid for the original set of low profile Pirellis. I contacted corporate who in turn contacted Pirelli. Pirelli honored their warranty, as I expected they would, and replaced their defective product. No thanks to this Discount Tire location. I recommend driving to the 59th & 101 location...WELL worth it. read more

I never write reviews but I just had a very good experience at this Discount Tire store. I had something resembling a nail in my truck tire. I had originally purchased the tires at this store so I returned to have it removed and repaired if necessary. Upon driving up into their check-in area, I was immediately greeted by Mr. Paul Moreton (who also happened to be the manager). He was very polite, personable and friendly. Even though I didn't have an appointment I had the problem addressed and was finished in about 45 minutes (including a free tire rotation). The young man who actually did the work (I didn't get his name) did exactly what I asked him to do with my wheel locks, tire pressures etc. He was also very polite, professional and friendly . All-in all it was a very good experience. I will continue to get service at this store and purchase tires there. read more
