I waited 45 minutes before they took my car in to remove a nail and fix the hole. After sitting inside another 45 minutes I noticed they had put my car back out on the parking lot. They still hadn't looked at it. In the meantime every car that came in after me and come and gone. I wish I could write a thousand reviews of how wonderful this location is. Their manager has created a very well oiled machine in these employees and they work so seamlessly. I had a nail in the sidewall of my tire and was losing air rapidly. I got to discount tire about 5 min before they opened. They had already set up a drive up check in booth to help with social distancing, had me stay in my air conditioned car while they assessed the problem, checked to see if they had my tire in stock as well as a backup in case they didn't. Called me to inform me they did have my tire in stock so if the tire was unrepairable they would replace it for me (thank goodness for roadside hazard insurance!) They quickly got the tire off, confirmed it was a sidewall nail, replaced the tire, offered me the roadside hazard insurance on the new tire (uh, heck yes!) and then had me on my way. I was about 9th in line when I got there and they had me in and out in under an hour. They truly are a fantastic store with wonderful customer service and great workflow! read more

I just got a new vehicle and immediately bought the tire warranty from the Leander Discount Tire. I had called ahead and Nic met me outside and I was done inside of 10 minutes the day I purchased the warranty. I didn't realize I'd need it so soon! It's always a rough when you get a flat. When it's pouring rain and you have your special needs kiddo in the car and you get a flat on your brand new car from debris on the tollway that stopped traffic for 15 min making you late for the first appointment of the day, it's an especially rough start. I called the Leander Discount Tire and talked to Patrick. Even though they were overrun with people due to the weather (89 one day and 39 with rain the next), he was so calm and extremely helpful. He ordered a new tire, but it would take 3 days. We still didn't know if the tire could be patched, he patiently answered all my questions and looked into several for spares. I was able to get a spare though my roadside assistance program. I dropped the tire off. They called first thing this morning and it was patched! The neighborhood I just moved into has lots of construction going on and I got a nail in my tire within 2 days. I stopped in to Discount Tire Leander and was greeted by James Filla, the manager. He found the nail but wasn't sure if it had penetrated the side wall so James filled my tire, added missing caps to all 4 of my tires, ordered a replacement tire in case I needed it and asked me to return a bit later, once the replacement was in. Luckily, they were able to repair the original, which they did in no time at all and didn't charge me a penny. The customer service by James and his team was outstanding! I recently fell on hard times. 3 kids and going through a divorce. I desperately needed some tires and after spending 150$ on used tires that fell apart and were unsafe I made my way to Discount Tire. I could only afford to buy two tires. I paid for the tires and they advised me I really needed 4. I told them I just could only afford two this paycheck. When I went to leave the mechanic handed me my key and said, we went ahead and replaced all four. It's a safety issue and we can't have you driving around on those bad tires. Stopped by Discount Tire this morning to get a quote on four new tires (expecting to sell a kidney to afford it). From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a smile and didn't feel intimidated. Cody was so helpful in the process and explained in detail the difference between each tire option for my vehicle. This has been my go to location for many years, not any more. Today was the worst. Made an appointment last night for 9:30 this morning. I arrived on time and was told the tires where not in stock. They found some at a different location and was told they would call me when they arrived. I waited until 3:00 to call and was told that the tires still weren't there. The other location is less then 5 miles away. I called the other location around 4:00 to see of they had the tires and was told that someone just picked them up. I decided to drive to the location that my appointment was originally at around 4:45, because I still had notreceived a phone call to let know the tires had arrived. I only had them replace the tire that had a screw in it. I had originally planned on getting 2 tires, no thanks. It's funny that when I originally bought my tires there where only 2 in stock and the guy who helped me found 2 at another location and asked if I could wait 30 minutes so he could go drive and pick them up. My wife and I have given this location $3000 of our business over the last few years, not anymore. Well 8 hours later I had my truck finished and they didn't even rotate my tires, wow. Discount Tire scheduled a tire rotation for Monday, Memorial Day. I showed up after placing my schedule on hold in order to get the service done, but the business was closed when I arrived at the time they scheduled. When I looked at their web site, the site indicated "closed" on Memorial Day. Yet their own in-store computers accepted their entry just a couple of days before Memorial Day to schedule my tire rotation. In addition, it was their suggestion for Monday. The time and trip taken to the store location was wasted. I've never had a problem with this store before but will probably seek another location or company to take care of my tires now. read more

Discount Tire in Leander. Manager James Filla and his outstanding staff. Bought a 2017 SS convertible Camaro that had some tread on the tires. I knew I would need to replace all 4 in about a year. VERY COMMON. Well, then it rained and rained for weeks. lol The power of the SS and slick roads were not a great mix for ME! I couldn't understand and was questioning my purchase of the SS and not the V6. Took her to discount to get their opinion. Mr. Filla went way above the call of duty for me. He explained the TYPE of tire that was on the Camaro and suggested an all weather tire. Now, I personally do not question the cost of tires. Discount has for 30 years has always had the best prices so that part is a no brainer. Ordered tires that were scheduled to be delivered the next Monday BUT instead to my thrill (new car is grounded for the time being) came in the very next day. I LOVE my new car, my new tires and MY Discount Tires! Can not thank Mr. Filla and his amazing staff enough! My new SS Camaro is running like a beast and is so much fun to drive now! ALSO...while we were there picking the Camaro up, a little boy and his dad had come in to pick up a used tire Discount was giving the little boy to make a swing out of. The boy was the cutest little guy and so proud of his tire. So THANK YOU Mr. Filla for also making this little guy's swing become whatever he is dreaming it to be. I brought in my car to get all 4 tires replaced with new 20" rims. Tpms sensors were also installed and they were able to have them flashed with no problems at all. The guys were extremely careful with my car, and i am very happy with this particular Discount Tire! My sales specialist was Ben, he was very helpful and went above and beyond my expectations! He communicated with the technician first hand, to make sure the lug nuts that i brought in were turned by hand as per requested that the lug nut instructions specifically say do not install with an impact gun. I came in to patch a punctured tire, they said it was not repairable, I wanted to buy the original brand Kumho (they are one of the few dealers), they didn't have in stock. So I paid to get one shipped. Due to Christmas season, the delivery date changed 3 times (after I called them almost everyday, they never called me with updates), which is understandable. So after the 3rd date change, I decided to switch to Yokohama as they had in store. The associate offered half the price on the second tire, at the same price as Kumho. So I got the final quote price, seemed high but I went for it since I had to have this resolved. After service done, bill paid, I checked the receipt. The second tire was charged higher than the first one and the promised discount was incorrect, when I called the associate's attention for the discount, there was some justification back but he called the first associate to confirm, they came up with an additional refund, he had to call the manager (Anthony I think) to process the discount and I left. Overall, the service was ok, fast and so far no complains on the new tires but it was terrible customer experience, my advice is, if you decide to use this location, pay very close attention to your bill. Hint: I first went to Costco and the associate explained every line item of the quote (better prices) but they don't work with Kumho. On a second thought, I should have come back to Costco after deciding to change tire brands. read more

These guys are always friendly and helpful, but I have noticed a trend at this store and the one in Georgetown that will make me stay away. Numerous times they would upsell me more than I want. The "straw" was when I took my one and a half year old car in with 28K miles to get the tires balanced and rotated as I had some slight shaking at high speeds and they told me on the phone "Yeah, balancing will fix that". They quoted me about $60 which I thought was fair and I brought it in. The young guy looking at my car claimed my tread was too low and that balancing wouldn't help. He was insistent that I needed all new tires and told me I was endangering myself driving it. Serious, I'm over 60, you think this is the first car I ever drove, the first set of tires I ever bought? Sorry, jack, I'm done. I didn't just "fall off the turnip truck". I think they need to retrain their staff and maybe pay them more and cut the commission back some. Integrity brings customers back, over-selling drives them away. read more

Yesterday I was having a tire patched and while I waited maybe 20 minutes, I saw the manager interacting with his team, refilling the complimentary water bottle fridge and making sure his shop was running smoothly. He could have easily asked one of his guys behind the counter that was not with a customer to refill the fridge but instead he did it.
