I've been shopping at discount tire for 20 plus years but I am officially done. I get so tired of companies selling me something then not filling the promise that I paid for. I've been buying their tire insurance and rotation and balance on the life of all my tires for my 20 plus years of business. The last 3 times I have gone in for the rotation they pull this stupid arbitrary "corporate mandated" tread depth requirement in order to rotate all the tires. I have 1 tire that has supposed 2/32" of and inch tread depth which is still a healthy tire with no tread anomalies and now that one tire stops them from rotating my tires because of 1 perfectly fine tire. The whole purpose of tread depth is to dissipate water and to minimize hydroplaning and a tire at 2/32" tread depth is still able to achieve its purpose. This corporate mandated tread depth is the biggest bunch of greedy "equine excrement" I have every experienced and I am done with these jokers trying to sell and scare sell customers into replacing perfectly fine tires. This was such a positive experience for us, and it really all comes down to the little things that make a difference. For example, when we first walked in, everyone was busy but one of the employees greeted us and said, "Hey, guys! Thank you for coming in. I will be right with you." We came in because I needed four new tires. I did my homework and priced them out and they came out in the middle price wised, but what ended up getting our business was a few things: 1. Very polite and attentive staff (as mentioned before) 2. Knowledgeable staff. The guys here aren't just here to work the registers. They actually know product names offhand. On top of that, when I asked about a certain issue with my tires, they were able to thoroughly and clearly explain the issue to me and a solution to me. 3. They offer 6 month, 0 interest financing as well as rebates on their tires. 4. Quick service. We were in and out of there in about 40 minutes including applying for the card, buying the tires, asking about wheels, and getting the tires put on. Overall, after shopping around for a while and comparing prices in the area, while these guys may not be the least expensive in the area, they certainly have more to offer customers that make the slight difference in price worth it in the long run. read more

My morning was a disaster! Spent 2hrs at the ford dealership with an oil change and tire rotation, got to the grocery store, came out to a flat! Drove to discount tire and they quickly squeezed me in to check it out. Turns out not repairable but they ordered me a tire to get here tomorrow. As a pregnant, hormonal lady who was in tears they were so nice and understanding. Put my spare on and sent me on my way. Good news = tire came in later this afternoon and as I type this they are putting it on. I had 2 new tires put on by the Discount Tire in Cedar Park I went back 5 times because my balance was off and my wheel was shaking. I was so frustrated I went to this location (183)instead. The guys spent time diagnosing the issue. They gave me two brand new tires and they said they were still running shaky on the test. So they recommend two brand new tires from an upgraded brand. They did all this at no extra cost. 100 % customer satisfaction at this location!!!! read more

I have been to this location about 10 times now mostly for tire pressure checks. Purchase tires here and have them repair Flats as well. Today was a difficult issue but I was asking for above and beyond. The manager (James) and his staff (Brad and Kyle) are always helpful polite kind. In general I have found that Discount Tire is a fantastic company. It may have something to do with the fact that they only promote from within and you have to work your way up the ranks. Regardless I highly recommend them won't consider another organization. Note: always purchase the road warranty certificates because one problem will pay for all of them sometimes twice over. read more

BUYER BEWARE: my wife was having issues with her vehicle vibrating as she drove down the road. Having recently purchased two tires from a different discount tire location we decided to visit the new location in Leander. After about ten minutes of checking our vehicle we were told by the associate the other two tires were shot and needed to be replaced. We purchased two new tires and left just as they were closing. As we drove home we noticed the vehicle was driving worse than before the new tires.. Vibration still present. I returned the next day with the problem. I received a diagnoses of the original two tires just needed balancing. After balancing the tires we drove home and problem solved. I am very disappointed in discount tire telling me I needed new tires when they could have originally solved the issue by balancing the tires we purchased the first time along. After all, we also purchased the certificate with the original tires, which covers balancing. read more

I have been a long time customer of Discount Tire in general for their warranty and tire care for their customers. You may get tires cheaper elsewhere, but you won't get the help and care for your tires during their lifetime that you will get with Discount. Although I've always had great service at every location, this Leander location far surpassed my expectations. Their staff was patient while I communicated tire choices with my husband via text and quickly took care of my vehicle once the decision was made. However, what really made the difference was the customer service beyond my tires. They were kind to my kids (a mother's dream) and when my son bumped his head right before we left, without me even asking, one of the gentlemen walked NEXT DOOR to the restaurant to get him some ice for an ice pack and brought it out to us as we were loading up. With the possibility of sounding completely overdramatic, it actually brought tears to my eyes. I can't brag about that kind of customer service from many other places. If we ever move from the area, I'd happily drive the distance to give this Discount Tire my business again. No one likes buying tires, but they make it as painless and enjoyable as possible. read more

I just went into this discount tire yesterday to get tires put on. I went in about 20 minutes before closing time and everyone was polite and got my car out quickly. It was noted on my paperwork that I was missing a hubcap because I just had a flat and the hub cap was in the trunk. Well, today I noticed that both sides were now missing hub caps. So I put the hub cap from the trunk back on (I told them they didn't need to bother with it which is why they didn't put it on). When I called to check to see if they had found my hub cap from the night before, they did not see it anywhere. It's possible that It wasn't tightened all the way and may have come off, or it's possible that they were just busy closing up and forgot to put it on. I really wish I would have taken the time to inspect the vehicle so that I could have noticed if it was left off or if it fell off. But the next day it was nowhere to be found. Now, I know it probably looked really bad when I pulled up with a missing hub cap and my paper work also says "missing hub cap", but the Gentleman at Discount Tire in Leander didn't hesitate at all when he offered to replace the hubcap for me. That is quality customer service and I really appreciated it. I just hope they believe me that it really was on there before and that the one that was originally not on the vehicle really was in the trunk. I wish I would have asked them to put the hub cap that was in the trunk on just so that they could have seen it in there, but they didn't once accuse me of being incorrect and were very respectful towards the situation. I will not hesitate to do business there again, but I will also try to take some of the responsibility on myself to closer inspect my vehicle and hopefully avoid something like this again. read more

Integrity and service beyond expectations! Today we needed a flat repaired and uncertain if the tire would need to be replaced we confirmed the tire was on hand at this location. After a modest wait I was told the vehicle was ready and would be pulled around, the flat had been fixed. When Nicholas came back to hand over the keys, he said I was ready to go, and I said I hadn't paid yet. He said no worries, no charge, just keep us in mind when you may need new tires. My wife and I will most certainly buy our next set of tires here. Not only could did they repair the flat, I wouldn't have known enough to know whether or not it could be repaired safely due to the location of the object in the tire, I would have gladly paid for a new tire in order to keep the car safe. I won't expect all flats to be repaired at no charge yet it's the little surprises and the integrity of this team that has won us over. read more

Had an issue with the location that I've never had at another other discount tire before. I dropped off a wheel and tire with a leak from a nail. The representative greeted me and took the tire from me to repair. He said it will be done in about 2 hours and will call me when it's complete. He wrote my phone number on his hand. I asked him if we needed to go inside and link it to my account which he stated he will take care of all of that. Didn't hear from discount tire that day or all of the next day. I called them two days later asking about the status of my tire. They looked up my account and had no entries of what was dropped off two days ago. He put me on hold for 10 min while we went into the bay just to find my wheel and tire that was on day 3 of a 2 hour or less job. This is not the first time something similar to this has happened at this location. read more

These guys earn my business over and over again. Stopped by to have some air added to my tires and the technician Alex noticed a nail and promptly informed me of it. I went inside and Derek Hernandez help me out. Only complaint is that the phone was answered instead of helping me a customer standing there waiting. I got to speak with Cody while waiting on my tire to be fixed he was super helpful in recommending a place where I can take my truck to have it lifted(leveled). Cody had some expert knowledge on tires and we discussed the new tires I will put on my truck after it is lifted. They fixed the nail in the tire for me at no cost and it was a rental. I waited 45 minutes before they took my car in to remove a nail and fix the hole. After sitting inside another 45 minutes I noticed they had put my car back out on the parking lot. They still hadn't looked at it. In the meantime every car that came in after me and come and gone. Finally after another 30minuted they told me my car was ready but when they took me to back out there was no tire on my car. Another 20 minutes and I finally got to drive away. read more

I wish I could write a thousand reviews of how wonderful this location is. Their manager has created a very well oiled machine in these employees and they work so seamlessly. I had a nail in the sidewall of my tire and was losing air rapidly. I got to discount tire about 5 min before they opened. They had already set up a drive up check in booth to help with social distancing, had me stay in my air conditioned car while they assessed the problem, checked to see if they had my tire in stock as well as a backup in case they didn't. Called me to inform me they did have my tire in stock so if the tire was unrepairable they would replace it for me (thank goodness for roadside hazard insurance!) They quickly got the tire off, confirmed it was a sidewall nail, replaced the tire, offered me the roadside hazard insurance on the new tire (uh, heck yes!) and then had me on my way. I was about 9th in line when I got there and they had me in and out in under an hour. They truly are a fantastic store with wonderful customer service and great workflow! read more
