I had only a mediocre experience due to a very agressive sales/customer service person. I called to see if they could repair a leaking tire and although they could get me in, the sales person felt an obligation to give me an in-depth safety lecture. I arrived and greeted by the same person who answered the phone and immediately began badgering me about why the tires on my car were purchased elsewhere. No answer was good enough for him, but he eventually went out to inspect my car. Of course he had to measure the the tire treads (repeatedly) before returning. He produced a multi-colored laminated card and began pointing to the yellow (caution) area, explaining why i was probably having trouble stopping. The 60,000 mile tires on my car have 25,000 miles them and during the last oil change my regular service center (Goodyear) indicated the tires were in good shape and wearing normally. I made the mistake of telling the sales/customer service agent I was not interested in a sales pitch and was not going to buy new tires. He was not happy and again relied on expressing conerns about my piece of mind and personal safety. He then indicated I had a screw in the tire and my "can get you right in" status went to "its gonna take awhile" and put me in hold status with an hour and fifteen minute expected wait time. He explained there were appointment work customers in front of me. They did a good job of fixing the tire (free), but the customer service was very off putting. read more

Bait-and-switch. I ordered a set of tires 8 days in advance of our appointment, and was told they would arrive at the shop in 3-5 days. Went to the appointment and told they do not have the tires and acted like there was nothing wrong with this. Went on to try to sell me tires that were 3 times the price. Ordered a set of cooper tires they said would have to come from Texas. one week later called to check the status was initially told they would be there later that day, less than 10 minutes later I received a call from discount tire in liberty mo that the tires had never been shipped and offered me a lesser quality tire for the same money of course I declined, and agreed to wait for the cooper's. A week and a half later I checked back they told me they had a fed x tracking number and they would be there later in the afternoon, not 30 minutes later I received yet another call from discount tire in liberty mo that in fact the tires where never shipped because they did not have them. They offered to "make it right by upgrading me at full price". What a joke! I will never do business with discount tire again. I will not tolerate liars and crooks! read more

Mike and Chris were very helpful getting me a new tire after my tire got a razor blade in it. My tire wasn't in stock, but they got it in by that afternoon. They mounted the tire while I was able to drive on my spare. They were friendly and saved me time and money. Great experience. read more

We have bought many tires here for our four vehicles, including a 1966 mustang. The customer service is fantastic. They work with our needs and help us make decisions based on those. They special ordered our tires and helped us do all measurements for our mustang. They stand by their products. I have had two tires that I purchased here that got damaged on our country roads, they replaced both with no problem because we had purchased the insurance on them. Wow! What an amazing place. My parents got a screw stuck in their tire and it went completely flat. We took the car and tire to the closest place we could find. We were immediately greeted at the door by an employee (Dustin) and he proceeded to get our information and told us it would be a 30 minute wait to get the tire fixed. Almost exactly 30 minutes later he had re-patched the tire, put it back on the car and even shined the wheel. When it came time to pay he said they do parch work FOR FREE! I almost fainted right there. He did all that for FREE and in 30 minutes. I'm still shocked a week later. With Discounts friendly customer service, FREE tire patch, and Dustin's great help they just got three new customers for the future. We will for sure be coming back! read more

First day of a new job in a new state and my tire blows out. I google a tire place and luckily I found this place! I barely make it to the garage door and told them my deal nothing short of freaking out. They calmly assessed the situation slapped a used tire on a spare I had (which I was going to use a 10 year old tire) and they checked the pressure and sent me on my way free of charge. I'm from my and that would never happen there EVER! This place is not only professional but honest and fair. I kept getting a low tire notice on my dashboard. Couldn't find anything wrong with the tire and went to Big O in Liberty, MO. Tired of continually adding air to it. Didn't want a catastrophic event to occur - and in this winter weather!! Turns out there was a huge screw right in the middle of my tire. I cannot fully express my surprise when there wasn't a charge for inspection, removal of the 'culprit', and patching of the tire! The Big O representative indicated it's a service Big O provides. Took my car to this shop to have my old tires taken off and had my freshly painted wheels on and had just about the worst experience one can have at a shop. First off they tried to keep my original wheels. Also told me that all my hub caps were broken which I later found out they weren't. They stripped my lug nut and stud, chipped my NEW wheel and then told me it was my fault. They said that their techs are all "certified techs" said it wasnt broken when they worked on it, I took the car back talked to the manager and he said he'd fix it and while "fixing" it the tech decided to kick my NEW wheels while taking them off. read more

The sales people are really weird almost every story I go to. They are always kind of condescending or unnatural. My car after going drifts to the right dramatically and when I brought it to them and they sound pretty burdened by having to fix their mistakes. Discount tire has a cool logo but everything else is weird and uncomfortable. read more

I had a great experience here buying new tires for my car back in November '15. A few weeks ago, I had a blowout and took my paperwork in to find out exactly what was covered. They couldn't have been friendlier, and luckily my warranty, which was only like $10 when I purchased the tires, covered the cost of the replacement tire and labor. An hour later (which was great considering I didn't set up an appointment beforehand) I drove off with a brand new replacement, only paying another $10 for a new warranty on the replacement. Super easy experience and the technicians I spoke with were incredibly friendly and professional. Couldn't have gone smoother. read more

I was in need of new tires and through research had already decided what brand and type I was going to purchase. The salesman tried to sell me a warranty, but not a different type of tire, and when told that I was not interested in the warranty he did not attempt to pester me. He did his job but wasn't overly aggressive. I then went with my family to eat at the restaurant next door and when I returned the tires were not yet done. I was told that they did not have four of the type of tires that I had requested and that was the reason for the delay. I later learned that their manager, (T., I believe), had given up his lunch break to travel to another location to acquire the tires! I cannot thank them enough or be more pleased with this kindness. read more

I was a loyal customer for years and have bought several sets of tires and 2 sets of wheels as well.my son calls and makes a appointment to dismount and mount and balance tires on his truck. They quoted a price of 157. Which seemed really high to me. So I went down and talked to a guy whom I have dealt with a lot. He showed me the prices and what they were but still not understanding why so high. I called another shop and they quoted me 92. So much for being a loyal customer. I called and talked to the same guy I just talked to in person and told him that I just called another shop and they are quoting the same service for 92 dollars so I will be canceling the appointment and he just said ok. Service is excellent. I had researched Consumer Reports for tires and settled on one made by Continental. Unfortunately none of the local dealers had it in stock. I waited too long to buy and had to go with one they had in stock. Salesman Nate did an excellent job of uncovering my needs and helping me get a tire that fit my needs and my budget. All told, I was there on Saturday morning and drove out in less than an hour with a new set of tires. I really liked the ability to make an appointment on line. i bought a set of 4 tires in September, '16 here and went thru the complete process of installing all four tires in less than 45 minutes. About a week ago i got a screw in one of the tires , took it in today (w/o appointment) and i was in/out of there in ~20 minutes. Historically i'd bought most tires for my family's cars @ NTB prior to September - i've got to say that NTB COMES NOWHERE CLOSE to the service Discount Tire provides it's customers. It obvious Discount Tire is interested in a long-term client relationship in how they treat their customers - My family's cars will have Discount tires places on them going forward! Wow! Came to have a slow leak tire repair. What I got was a 3 Ring Circus of Customer Service- Friendliness, Enthusiasm, & Energy abound! Lined out on the state of ALL my tires, asked for/received an immediate & reasonable quote for future replacement, & out the door in less than 30 minutes! Oh yeah, the tire repair was FREE. Guess where I'm going for my new tires after my tax refund...Discount Tire in Liberty. Update: Called 1 hr ago re 2 new tires for my Jeep Wrangler. As I assumed 1:30 pm on a Sat would be late notice, I intended to make an appt for 2 weeks out as M-F doesn't work for me & the next weekend I had commitments. "No. Come on in & I'll get you taken care of today!" After driving from Platte City to Liberty, I was told they didn't have my tire size in stock. Yes, I had stated the tire size on the phone prior to my drive over. It would be Mon before they could get them in. Due to my schedule restrictions (see above), I was forced to make the appointment for 2 weeks out, AS I ORIGINALLY INTENDED TO DO BEFORE DRIVING HERE. Very disappointed. Someone listening, checking & communicating could have reversed this. I am now not impressed. read more

Worst place ever! Horrible service! They make you wait for ever before even getting you serviced. Purchased new tires (Michelin) from them and drove approx 20,000 miles, went in for a rotation and they told us we needed new tires. We have drove 40,000 miles and the tires are shot! Spent $700 on nothing that didn't even last us 2 years! Will NEVER be back! read more

if I could give zero stars I would. they sold us 4 new tires and then after a year we had to replace the back tires. 2 months later we get a alignment only to find out the front tires a larger than the back. we go to get a explanation on why we were sold different tire sizes and are told that its been over a year on the front tires now so we had to so we had to replace the front tires. so 1000$ worth of tires in less than a year and a half.
