Came for a nail in my tire. I was told there was 1 hr 15 min wait. During that time I was sold on wheel rims and tires. Still told the wait was the same....3 1/2 hours later I am finally leaving. But.. because they did not have the proper lug nuts I was told they would call me the next day so I could come in and put the right ones on. (This was supposed to take 10min) They never called. I had to call on Monday and was on hold for 10+ minutes with no help. I drive up to the store and was told they have the nuts...55 minutes of waiting I am told they don't have the nuts and are going to make it work with different nuts again and I have to come back in... what a waste...I regret my purchase and will never use Discount Tire again. read more

Upon arrival at counter, the technician came out to look at my tire, and said it can most likely be repaired(small puncture on tread surface). Waited two hours for them to tell me it wasn't repairable. They took a quick look to tell me it's not repairable, the same amount of time they took two hours prior to tell me is was most likely repairable. They did not even attempt to repair it, way too busy to mess with a repaIr. I have purchased 17 tires from them in the last couple of years, but not anymore. For 4 cars and a damaged single tire. I took tire to another shop and they quickly repaired the puncture, it was the size of a roofing nail. They also didn't put my spare back in nor the center cap for wheel. This is a bundled review of years of great service from Discount Tire. In all these years, they have provided me and my family with 5 star service. They have knowledgable and courteous associates, and the company has strong core values that influence how they do business. My recent experience started with visiting their courtesy station to check the tire inflation. Very fast response and started the service while I was sitting in the vehicle. Technician noted that I might have had a leak and suggested I pull into the bay to get the tire evaluated for any nails. He also pointed out that my tread on the front tires was getting a bit worn... totally straight forward and mentioned it was within tolerance. Since it is my wife's car, decided to go with the new tires. I did have a bit of a wait... it was a Saturday. They gave me an expected time for my wait, and they were pretty accurate. Today I came into the store with a screw in my front tire. The store was closing (Saturday evening) and so I asked if I could set up an appointment for Monday. Nathan said "Would you like me to get that tire fixed for you right now.? Then he offered to rotate my tires because front tires were wearing down! Omg, who does that on a Saturday evening at closing time? However, I have always received professional service at this location and have been in Mansfield for years! The rudest sales guy Chris is an asshole. We ordered 4 tires online and even set up an appointment to have them installed. When we got there he said they didn't have the tires he'd have to order them. Isn't ordering online supposed to have them ordered? You'd think but no. We had to wait at least 6 hrs for them to get the tires. We ordered those tires 6 days ahead. Chris a little short ahole had an attitude. The worst customer service ever. I will never go back. Took my car to have the tire patched. During the process one of the lug nuts stripped. The GM Mark was very thorough in explaining what they would do to repair it. When I arrived before 1:00pm Mark Vaughn checked out my car. did my ticket 1:07pmn estimate completion time 2:00pm . I left there at 2;15 because two customers were taken ahead of me even though I had a ticket . The man and his daughter were very with the man that removed the two nails from her tire when they were leaving at the door - they were friends. I got upset at 2:15 and asked for my keys so I could leave. He told me they had appointments. I told him I was there well before either customer and I would go else where from now on. I should have ben advised that there were two customers coming in with appointments that would have bumped me out of line instead of making me wait 2hrs and 15 minutes. read more

I had an aggressive leak in my tire and new I needed to find my closest discount tire store. The staff was very nice and helpful. The wait time was over 2 hours. I was sad to hear discount tire couldn't fix my tire due to a "huge hole caused by a razor blade". I was advised to purchase a new tire to fix my problem. Being a woman I felt I was being taken advantage of so I asked for the spare tire to be placed on and I would limp myself home. The next day I went to Texas Tire and they didn't feel the hole was to big to fix. Instead of spending $250.00 on a new tire, I spent $15.00 patching up a leak. read more

Came in this morning due to my low pressure light on my car lighting up. I walked in and a very nice gentleman assisted me right as I walked in. He checked my tire pressure and told me I did have low pressure. He had another nice gentleman fill up my tires and I was in and out in under 5 minutes. Two bad experiences. First, they lost my lock nut. Attitude was, gee sorry..... second time more recently was regarding a nail in a tire. I had two tires replaced, and asked them to also check a nail in my tire and repair. They finished with the new tires and I asked if the nail tire was fixed. They said yes sir. Still losing air over next two weeks... I take it to Discount on South Arlington instead. NAIL WAS STILL IN THE TIRE. Go to the Arlington location. I always thought if you purchased tires and drove on them their yours. Well I purchased new tires from Discount tires last week and drove on them for about one week putting about 200 miles on the tires. I had read tire reviews online and just chose a tire from the reviews not asking the associates which tire was right for my car although I did get the right size. However, I did not like the tires even though they had great reviews they were very loud on the highway and just didnt work well for the car I had put them on. I called to ask about returns and they said come on in not a problem. I went up to the store and we talked about the issues I was having with the tires and they offered to let me keep using them for up to 30 days and I could bring them in for exchange. However, after going over the different tires and what I was looking for the associate recommended a tire not in stock but said it would be perfect for my car. They were able to get the tires to the store the same day and called me when they came in. I ran up and they put them on asked me a few questions for feedback on the tires they just replaced for customer feedback and out the door. Easy to exchange and the new tires are much better. Broke lug nut and screw on my tire and then claimed "there is no way our guys did that"--- My mechanic drove the car to and from the service.--- when he exited the car he observed a cracking noise and saw that the screw was different. We called and spoke to an assistant manager who would not listen to anything we had to say. I KNOW the car and I KNOW it did not go anywhere else. If the hardware was not replaced there then how do they explain that the screw is polished and new compared to the other ones covered in sand from my farm? Beyond this, I had questions prior to the sale but was TOTALLY IIGNORED but they talked continually to my mechanic while he was there. I bring my mechanic with me because I trust his opinion but, I am the customer and I do not like the way I was dismissed from the transaction. If you're there to buy wheels and/or tires you're treated really good. It's the service afterwards (that you paid for in the form of a warranty) could really do some improving. Took my vehicle in to get the tires rotated and a leak fixed. I watched customers who bought tires and tire-wheel combinations get shoveled to the bay ahead of me and another guy just getting his tires rotated. Took me 2 hours, to get a 15-minute, tops, job done. Really unprofessional! I guess they just don't understand the VALUE of repeat customers. read more

Recently we to Discount Tire in Mansfield Texas to have my tires rotated and balanced. Entered the store at 12:50 p.m. and was told the process would take 45 minutes. There was one customer in the waiting room and few technicians in the service bay. I went three doors down to have lunch; and, returned 20 minutes later. The desk attendant pointed to my care; and, told me the car has not yet been serviced. So I waited. After waiting one hour, I was told at 1:25 p.m. the car had already been serviced; and, the technician parked the car in the wrong space so the dest attendant did not know the car had been serviced. This is poor customer service related to negligence in instructing employees how to both triage vehicles and then know when the vehicles have been serviced or not. read more

I then proceeded to Discount Tire, they had just closed for the day, I asked one of the gentleman in the bay if they could help me. He found David, who was amazing!
