I walked in and Isaias (hopefully correct spelling ) helped me right away and I explained what I needed looked at . I called to make an appointment Monday morning since I would be in the area. I was told to just come on in. So I did. The parking lot was full. I drove and parked off to the side of the building. There was a line when I walked in and the counters were full, but there was a gentleman taking people's name and phone number. After he entered my name and number, he instructed me to take a seat and someone would call me shortly. Quite a bit of time had passed so I went up to the counter to see how much longer would it be. I was told it would be another hour, that if I had made an appointment, it would have saved me an hour. I told him that's what I tried to do earlier but was told to just come in. I told them that I can't waste more time than I already did today. He gave me his business card and name for next time. Bought 4 new tires for my Altima a couple of weeks ago and 2 new tires for me Sienna along with an alignment from these guys a couple of days ago. Front left tire on my Altima picked up a nail a couple days ago. I used a temporary plug to get home. Returned to them with Altima today for permanent patch. They gave me the old corporate policy of " if you patched it, we can't fix it" and tried to SELL me another tire. I took it to an independent local tire shop who fixed it while I waited for $25. We've always bought tires at Costco because of the free installation. But I wanted BFG KO3s for my Tacoma Off-road & they were unavailable at Costco unless special ordered. Discount Tire had them in stock, I made an appointment for 8am the next day. It was done by 8:30. They even installed spline wheel locks for me since I couldn't price match after paying online. Moral is: if you want to price match or use a coupon, don't prepay online. It was worth it to me cause the KO3s in my size sell out fast. Just want to say DT has always been good to us over the years but this time Ruben at the El Camino Real location went above and beyond to get me taken care of. Very quick process to buy tires and getting them installed the same day if they're in stock. Very fresh tires which makes a difference because the shelf life matters for tires. You don't want to use tires that sat around a year in their warehouses so I highly recommend discount tire tires. Had a great experience at Disount Tire yesterday with Edwardo. He seemed super honest with me and offered great customer service. He showed me the issue with my wheel/tires so that I could understand and make a good decision. The only reason I did not give this a 5-star review is because the techs broke the decorate red cover break caliper cover on my Tesla. Edwardo took action and ordered me a new cover to replace what had been broken. He will call me when the new cover is in to replace. Otherwise, it was great. I would go back again. read more

Brought in my car because I had a flat tire, I arrived and 8am. The guy told me they didn't have the tire in stock at the moment so we had to wait until 3pm for the truck to arrive with the tire. I called at 4pm to get an update on my car, tire was still not placed on told me it'll be another 45 minutes. I bought new tires from here about 2 years ago. They are already worn out after about 30k miles. These tires cost $275 each plus all the additional charges.They are under warranty which is 45K miles. Instead of honoring the warranty, the sales guy tried to sell me a new set of tires. He acted like he was doing me a favor by charging me $750 for new tires. I told him why would I buy new tires from you when the last set I bought only lasted 30K miles. He would not even discuss the warranty with me. He said the best he could do was give me a discount. Had to wait an hour and half, no big deal, better than waiting for AAA and still having to come back. I always get my tires here and prices are truly reasonable. Friendly service members & prompt scheduling. I had to order some tires that were not stocked in my area & they were able to get them in rather quickly. They actually refunded me for an alignment that I had prepaid for because they found that everything was within spec & no adjustments were needed. Very honest. They did damage one of my rims during the tire installation, but they quickly made it right by scheduling me with a mobile wheel repair shop. I have been going here for years, and this time it has been a nightmare situation, and I will be going back for the 5th time. First, my tire was leaking, and they did a visual check and told me no, it wasn't. I thought you would take it off to check and was it down from 42psi to 24psi? Then the next day it was down to 24 psi again, and of course, they were closed on Sunday. Then I brought it back again and was told I needed 2 new tires on the back because there was a leak and the tread was low, which I did. When I got on the freeway in cruise control, my car was swerving all over the road. I took it back to balance and see about the alignment. After waiting over an hour, the guy came out and told me my front wheel was bent, and I ran over something?? No, I have never run over anything, and my car was fine before the new tires. I asked to see the wheel. He took me out to see it, but the car was down from the rack, and suddenly the guy said he was able to balance, and the wheel was not bent. That's strange. How did my wheel repair itself? Then, a few days later, I noticed that now I had one new tire on the front and one new tire on the back, and they didn't tell me they were doing that. I went back again to have them put back where they belong, and I felt like I was speaking a different language just asking to put my new rear tires back on the rear. They did that, and the next day on the freeway, my car was swerving again all over the road! My conclusion is that these tires are not compatible with either my vehicle or the front tires. I'm so disappointed I have to go back because of the lack of transparency and honesty. This will be my last time going to this location. read more

I'm sure most of us already know what you get at Discount Tire. However, each store can be a different experience. Over my lifetime in the Oceanside/Carlsbad area, I've found myself at 4 different locations. The only one I ever considered to make my "home" base is the store on corner of El Camino Real and Vista Way where me and my bride have taken our ride for at least 4 years. Sure the staff changes year to year but that's just it. Despite several staff changes at this store (like all stores) this one maintains the class and professionalism that customer service should be! It's the only store I've experienced consistent high level service. Ask for Luis. That's my guy! You know what? Take it down a half star because he convinced me to buy the more expensive brand with the certificates!! I never buy those dang certificates. He's good tho!!! read more

Slow Service in getting screw in tire repair Infiniti had a screw in left driver side tire checked in line 1045 and gave info to rep 1050... was told approx 1 hour 15 min approx..to repair returned at 1215 and car still pending repairs.. 2-3 people waiting on vehicles in lobby not too busy, still would have to wait 45 min, total time to repair screw in tire 2 Hours chose to leave due to appt but, was asked if I wanted to make appt for 1 tire repair with screw Discount can improve in management of workforce and timely repairs that take less than 30 min read more
