We visited Discount Tire 2/17/26. Several minutes prior, our tire suddenly deflated on the highway. We have visited several Discount Tire locations many times, but the Oceanside location was closest to us at that time. We had changed all 4 tires at Discount Tire just over 1 year earlier. Within a few minutes, we were told that the tire deflated due to the alignment of the front wheels and so the replacement would not be under the warranty we had. We were also told we need to change both front tires. We were charged $883.53. After going home, I called Tesla service and was told that they had already checked the alignment recently during a service appointment and it was unlikely to have worsened that quickly. Furthermore, I was told it was very unlikely that an "alignment" issue would have suddenly caused a tire to flatten on the highway. The tires should have been covered under warranty. We tried to call the company and left a message but no one called us back. Felt like they knew we were stranded with a flat tire and took advantage. read more

It's my first time here, and I decided to order my tire last Saturday afternoon. By late Monday morning, I received an e-mail confirmation that the tire arrived. I only wanted one tire changed, but the employee suggested I get at least another one replaced since the other three all were almost worn out. They text your number a link to track your car's progress. I think this location is prime because while you're waiting, you can walk over to the nearby business to eye-shop. Toyota told me one of my tire sensors was out and they would've charged $500 for it--Discount replacement it for $66 + $20 install so under $100 total. Just insane. Walked in, with a screw in a driver side tire of my wife's car, and the tires have 40K miles on it. I was expecting a pitch, new tires blah blah... Service rep says we can fix it no problem, no attempt to upsell. Set the appointment and the work order, and there was about an hour wait. No big deal, there are plenty of options around to sit down and have a meal or a coffee. 45 minutes later, one text to tell me the car was going in the bay, 20 minutes later I had the car back. so pretty much met the time expectations. Cost? $0. I know it is standard service and it is a way to fidelize customers, but what do you find that is free today? Anyway, that was as good as an experience I could have had for what I needed to get done. Hence the 5 stars. read more

TRUST THOSE WHO YELP REGULARLY... Ok, check this out... I swing in for a quote. No pressure sales from Joe, just good communication. I told him I'd do my research and get back to him. After scanning various options (online, Costco, Walmart, etc.) for a week, I decided to come back to Discount Tires for the service... and the price. I called yesterday, but Joe wasn't available. His colleague pulled up my quote and said "no problem," he'd have the tires this morning. We set the appointment for 1:30p to be safe. I arrived at 1:30p sharp, Joe (coincidentally) helped me again, and informed me that 2 of the 4 new tired had yet to arrive. UGH!!! I made specific plans for my day around this appointment. Joe went above and beyond, fitting me into another tire for all wheels. In fact, the tire he made accommodations for was the same brand name I already had, runs a bit more money, and comes with an even better warranty. A few good mechanics It's hard to find a group of people who genuinely care about their customers and honor their word. My tire had a flat and I had to plug it with a gummy. Joe (I believe is the manager) told me they would patch it at no cost. I was shocked to believe it. After he told me the tire is not repairable, he offered to swap out my spare with a free all season because my spare wheel was damaged but serviceable. I had to ask him a couple of times because I could not believe this. So now I have all my AT tires on my Jeep and my spare is an all season. This is a go method to create trust and establish a customer to business relationship. I will return for new tires when the time comes. read more

I requested an appointment online in the morning for a 2pm slot to replace two tires on my car. in my email, it stated that my appointment request was approved. i get to the store around 1:50pm, and for 10 minutes i stood there with no one acknowledging me. finally someone asked if i had been helped, told them no and i had an appointment for 2pm. they couldn't find the appointment and asked who i spoke to, i said i did the appointment online and immediately i receive an email saying they've confirmed my appointment. then they proceeded to tell me that the appointment wasn't processed and they had filled my spot. they said it would take 3-4 hours minimum to put two tires on and even then said it might have to stay overnight night. i ended up just walking out and getting my tires done elsewhere for half the price. read more

About a week and a half ago on a Thursday I discovered I had a large screw in my back left tire on my way home from work. I got my spare tire on with the help of a kind Samaritan and immediately called the closest discount tire which was this location in Oceanside. Instantly I was greeted by Angel, who was so kind to me on the phone and was ready to help in anyway he could. Once I got there, I was met with the best customer service I've experienced in a very long time! Angel was just as kind in person as he was on the phone and assured me that they could help me. Then I had Danny who returned my car and informed me of everything that they did with the same great customer service. On top it all off they did it all for free right before closing. I cannot thank them enough and felt so compelled to leave a review because of how good their customer service was. Discount tire replaced my tires without issue. I returned with a different vehicle to get air in the tires one week later. There were 3 vehicles ahead of me and my vehicle was off to the side near the driveway entrance. The woman in front of me never moved and one vehicle took 20 minutes for air to go in the tire. I was blocking a parking space that somebody was trying to access and had to pull around to move out of the way. I eventually left after 40 minutes of waiting to get air in the tire without anyone speaking to me. read more

Joe helped me this past weekend and was super helpful on the phone. I got a nail in my tire and I was looking at $250 for a new tire...all because of a small nail. My first set of tires lasted me about a decade, and my second set, about 2 years. Aside from my current mechanic, Niko (of S & R in Vista), telling me I got ripped off for tires (I've already dropped a 1-star review on Oceanside Tire and Service Center, who sold them to me, for entirely different reasons), he made the suggestion that I come here (and that was early January- everything has been great so far). I don't know quality, prices or brands. I just told them how much and where I drive (mostly freeway), they gave me a list of suggestions and I chose the ones with the price and warranty that fit my budget that they had in-stock. It's looking like these should last me the rest of the lifespan of this vehicle. That's my goal anyway. I actually stopped in without an appointment and they gave me about a 1.5 hour timeframe, so I walked over to the mall to eat. They even texted me when they were done, and will email me when I need to get the tires rotated. Easy peasy, lemon squeasy. People were friendly, everything was straightforward, I saw friend's vehicles there being serviced so I know I landed at a good spot, and I look forward to returning for tire maintenance.
