They had the right size for my Tacoma & an appointment 8am next day. My tires were installed & ready by 8:30 so fast service. They even threw in spline wheel locks at no charge since I had prepaid online & they couldn't credit me the Costco $60 coupon. I had the best experience at this location. Devin was the advisor that helped me and he was friendly and knowledgeable. He explained how they determine the wear on the tread of tires and at what point it's recommended to change them. He did recommend to change all four which I knew was going to be expensive. He showed me different options and didn't start off at the most expensive which was nice. He seemed like he was genuinely trying to help me find tires in my price range that would do what I needed. After looking at a few I mentioned ones I looked at and he said they were the second recommended option for my vehicle. I used my AAA discount and got a rebate on one tire so I saved a decent amount. The tire pressure warning light came on in my rental car. Although I purchased tires here for my car I wasn't sure if they would service my rental car. I was greeted as soon as I pulled in and they were so helpful and willing to check my tires. I waited less than five minutes and a nice young lady came out and fixed the issue right away. The service was excellent! 5 stars for that. Although my car was not taken into the bay for at least 20 minutes, it was ready to go a few minutes before their estimated completion time. My only complaint was the use of toxic cleaning agents or perfumed deodorizer used in the sales office. The smell was overpowering as soon as the door opened and it immediately gave me a migraine. Staff was ever so kind to place a chair outside for me. I really appreciated that but the damage was done. Every time someone opened the door I was assaulted by the chemicals all over again. Unfortunately for me, it shut my body down for the remainder of the day with intense head pain and burning nostrils. I cannot return to that location. read more

I brought a car in that had a tire with a slow leak. I had no appointment, but they fit me in. I couldn't find the leak and it turns out it was in the valve stem. They fixed it and I was on my way. These tires were not purchased from DT. On a different vehicle they had sold me a replacement tire for my spare. I hadn't used it and shortly after I upgraded all my tires. They credited me back the cost of the unused spare. They really take care of their customers and have a customer for life. read more

First off these guys are rip off artist. They promise you free nail and flat repairs when uyou buy a new tire and yet when you do get a nail, they come up with some nonsense excuse why they cannot repair it and basically force you to buy new tires EVERYTIME!! What the heck is paying for insurance on tires for then if it doesn even cover a simple nail puncture. Mind you the nail was in the middle flat part of the tire. Anyone would repair that no issue. These clowns try to skim as much money from the consume and lies to them about coverage they never support. I would never go here or any Discount tire again. Go to Costco instead. Much better service and cheaper than these crooks. Take my advice. Don't let these guys rip you off too. Let's get them out of business for poor service and false promises. I have been a very loyal customer to this store for many years now. All my cars have been serviced by this store ( PLAZA, OCEANSIDE ) and it was always a great experienced. But yesterday the MANAGER was not customer friendly at all. I dropped off my van around 8:30am ( 9-2-25 ) with 4 new tires I bought about 2 weeks ago. I ask the technician if I could put the new tire to the rims I got from my friend. The technician was great and he gave me a quote for LABOR charge to switch the tire to the rims I like. Now, I told the technician that I will leave my car here because I needed to get to work. At around 3:30 pm I arrived at the DISCOUNT STORE by PLAZA, OCEANSIDE. I was ready to pay my bill of ( $144.00 ) but I accidentally left my wallet in my office and so I ask the manager if I could just get my car to drive about 15 mins to get my wallet so I can pay my bill. He refuse to release my car if I don't pay my bill. I was telling him I'm willing to pay my bill you just let me drive to my office and grab my wallet and pay my bill. I spent more than $144.00 in the pass years in this store and very loyal to them I was denied by simple request to grab my wallet to pay my bill. I guess "DISCOUNT TIRES" is great name for the store but I think Corporate HIRED DISCOUNTED MANAGERS with DISCOUNTED CUSTOMER SERVICE LEVEL. read more

I realized I had a slow leak for the last week in one of my tires. I was able to schedule an appointment half an hour before they closed, but unfortunately I got out of work late and I called them up asking if it was alright to still come in before they officially close (but after my appointment time) or if they would prefer for me to make another appointment. One of the people working yesterday, Joe, said that if I was there before 6pm then they'll be open for me. I got there at 5:58pm and even though it's right before closing time, they got me right in and out in 10 minutes for a patch. Waiting area with chairs and one had a table in the corner to charge phone and eat if you brought something to eat while you waited. Tire was cost I'd be else where. They rotated my tires as well. Whenever my low tire pressure light goes on I pull into my local/friendly Discount tire. I love that I don't even have to get out of my car! You pull up on the side by the air machine that they put outside of there bays. They will check and fill all of your tires and always let me know how low they were. Staff was super friendly and helpful when I got a flat tire on my way home from work and happened to be minutes from this location. Made it to the location safely and immediately was helped. They looked up my info and were able to get me a new tire and was out of there after only 30 minutes. They found some issues caused by the dealership where I previously got my car serviced, which we wouldn't have known had my tire not needed replacement. They really seemed to care for my safety. My tire pressure warning light came on and prompted a visit to Discount Tire. I went to the Carlsbad location. They have a special bay for tire pressure check. Carlos came over and introduced himself, then promptly got to work. He checked the recommended pressure posted inside the driver's door and topped off each tire.
