While driving from a two week vacation in Miami to NYC. I noticed two of my tires treads separating. I immediately checked for a place and noticed Discount tire. I decided to check this place vs a local tire place out of concern of in stock. They came out and looked over and mentioned this could be a manufactured issue. Regardless they had a reasonable priced tire in stock including balance and alignment. The staff were great!! Professional, polite and helpful. I had need for a wheel alignment (front and rear) based on a new set of wheels and tires, and all the guys at this store were great, from the beginning of the process to the end. Luke was the technician who did the actual alignment work, and he was fantastic! At the end, he showed me exactly what the measurements were before and after, and how and why he made the adjustments. I needed tires rotated, balanced, and aligned. My appt was for 9am, i arrived at 8:40 and did not get in the bay until 11:07am. I had to sit for 2 hours with my AC on due to I have my 2 year old with me. but in the meantime I watched everyone who arrived after me, get in and out before me. It's now 11:25 my tires are balanced and rotated and I have to sit and wait AGAIN for an alignmen!!!! This is absolutely ridiculous and complete BS!!!!!!!!! This place is "Fxxxxxx AWESOME". I've been using discount tires for many years and they have never failed me. I had to buy a tire for my last vehicle. I then purchased tire insurance for all my tires. Since then, I purchased another car and immediately got the insurance for them. As it was, I ended up with a slow leak in a tire. I couldn't see a nail or anything that could be causing the leak. They assured me no worries. If it's in the wall or anywhere they could not fix, it was covered. That's right, covered. If I needed a new tire, they would replace it, no charge. WHAT? Who does that? These guys do. I highly recommend them. They are great. read more

I sit in my car for my 4:00 pm appointment that I was here for at 3:45 pm It is now 4:17 pm Tyler comes to my vehicle to do tire evaluation. I explained at length to Robert when I called and encouraged to make my appointment that I had a nail and just needed a repair. Tyler did the evaluation and of course says I need a new tire. I was looking for new tires, needed some good All Seasons, it doesn't snow where I live so it's more about a GOOD rain and wet tire. I got some options and didn't know any of the brands. Also, I drive a WRX (lame I know) but I really wanted some advice on good tires that can go from wet to dry to track and have no issues. Well, one of their worked Aaron Nerschook started talking to me about some Continental Extreme Contacts... These tires are great. He's a WRX guy too so he knows the car and power etc. I looked into some of the reviews, and lo and behold, all the comments were from WRX guys who raved about them. Aaron was a huge help. Good guy. Discount tire lost my business years ago and I couldn't for the life of me remember why, so when it came to needing new tires for my truck two years ago I gave them another go. Also bought tires for my wife's truck. I was satisfied with the price and location on both purchases, and making an appointment made the process simple and quick. Turns out, these were the least of my worries. For both purchases it took the technicians 3 attempts (each truck) to get the wheel and tire balanced. This Means job was signed off, left the lot, had a new vibration, returned to the store, do it again, leave again, return again. This happened on two separate occasions. In the last year I have made 5 visits for tire purchases or rotations. 3 of those time I found at least one lug nut loose by hand before leaving the lot. This last visit pushed me over the edge to write this review. Waiting on my rotation to be complete I was advised that they could not remove the locking lug nuts because the lock key was stripped. I was told this is normal wear and tear. This is false. The lock key became stripped because of the improper use of an impact wrench on the lock key, along with the lack of proper torque wrench use (see loose lugs above). The only free solution presented (why should I pay for you to break my stuff) to me was to extract the lock nuts leaving them scarred and pitted, and replaced with a non matching alternative. For a place that specializes in tires and wheels, they sure can screw up some tires and wheels. read more

They do what they say they'll do, finish before they say they will, charge less than they say they will, and help you in any way possible. every time I've called they have been so kind, helpful and patient. I came in before the hurricane right before closing and they were willing to fit me in. They didn't have the tires I wanted and they said they could order it for the next day so I went over to Walmart they didn't have it either by the time I decided they were closed already so I found tire agent online that does a payment plan which was even better than dropping 700 cash right before a natural disaster.(discount tire credit card denied me). anyways I ordered the tires online took 2 weeks to arrive. they came today and I called discount tire for a quote to put them on. was happy about it came in right away. the guy helping me I won't even bother giving his name... made me feel really bad about buying the tires online. he went on to tell me their tires ate the same, and then he said they match prices then he said they could have gotten them for me he was so upset about it he even had to go over and gossip about it to his friends. he must make commission on the sales or something because for someone to be that upset that I decided to buyy tires online was a little weird. the guys that put my tires on were great and quick. appreciate it thank you read more

Wednesday of last week, my tires went down due to the cold weather (40 degrees), Discount Tire aired all my tires up. The gentleman realized I needed to get my tire rotated. I was able to get an appointment a few days later. I was in and out with the tire rotation so quickly that I was amazed and impressed. These guys are super nice and helpful. Wow! Now let me start by saying that I did a walk in. No appointment. I showed up around 2 in the afternoon. Place was decently busy. Once Cameron and I figured out our game plan and what was to be done I was ecstatic that it would only be about 3 hours. Now this is where they lose me. I was told 3 hours. I understand it could take longer, not likely but could be shorter. The problem is that it is wrong to quote someone a time, make them pay for the service and then the service doesn't even begin until 4 hours later. Again I understand y'all are busy. But with appointments and all the walk ins rolling in you should think about telling people no, or maybe having them set an appointment. Not be left with empty promises. I was not ready to spend 6 hours of my day off at the discount tires. Somehow someone that checked in 20 minutes after me was able to complain to the right person and get their car in and out before I did. Hopefully this is me complaining to the right person. The price I paid for 2 tires to be installed was reasonable... 3 hours ago. All in all I just wish there was a little more professionalism and order. read more

Discount Tires displays great price on their site, but when you get to the store there's is a different tune. For two tires the site said $190, when I got there the price was $276! Do yourself a favor go to Terrific Tires in Holly Hill. The price for my two tires was $200. My suggestion is, avoid this place. read more

Worst experience EVER. My son has a 2022 vehicle with 5K miles on it. He ran over a nail and took it to this scammer for repair. All they were to do was repair a nail in the tire. If it wasn't repairable they were to call him and tell him why. Instead they texted him and said his vehicle was ready. When he went to pick it up they said the tire was thrown away and had his spare on but were willing to sell him a new tire for $250!!! SCAM!!!! They listen to what you say and don't try to dictate to you what you must have. Instead of taking my car to a dealer to have my tires rotated and pay $30, I always get it done here for free. They really helped me with my tire issue. I first took my car to Pep Boys on International speedway blvd. They couldn't find where the tire was loosing air. But my uncle told me to take it to Discount Tire on Williamson blvd. and they fixed it within 30 min. Their was no charge for removing the metal piece from my tire and they plugged it. This location Scratched all the rims and 2 different vehicles on 3 occasions over the course of a year and was told my factory wheels are "delicate". Corporate got it taken care of after nearly a month. Staff will actively try to ignore customers and will waltz around if there is only 1 customer or 10. Here is the deal- they are always super busy and don't have the staff to keep up with the schedule. They lure you in saying they they will get to you within an hour. I have been buying tires from them for 20 years but no more... My wife had new tires installed and had to wait almost 3 hours. I went for a tire rotation, made an appointment the day before. When I arrive they said they were running behind but would have me out in an hour. This is with an appointment! I waited for 1.5 hours and asked how long is would be before they got to my vehicle... the response was maybe an hour to 1.5 hours more. I asked for my keys and walked out. They are a successful company but can't keep up with the growth and their customer service has gone out the window. read more
