Been here a few times. All for the something (change a tire). Customer service was great. Never had an issue last two times. BUT this last time was a nightmare. Went in to change a tire. After two hours they changed the wrong tire. Went back and they fixed it. Then the next day my tire sensor light goes on. I take it back, they check it and tell me it's the tire they changed. But late in the day so I come back the next. Im here and now they tell me it's another tire so I have to pay to get it fixed .So apparently overnight the one senior fixed itself and another went out. Lol. I live down the street so convenient to come here. Maybe just my bad luck or getting played. But looks like time to find another tire shop now. read more

I expect decent service from nation wide tire stores. When I got there I asked how long it would take and they a little over an hour at the most. I also informed the man helping me that I wanted the old tires back as I still had some tread left. After waiting well over 2 hours they told me my car was ready. They never gave me my old tires back just like I had asked (I was surprised by this because the man told me that he would tell them right away and wouldn't be a problem). All i can say is wow !!! I can't recommend this location enough. These guys really went the extra mile for me today. I have a lowered 55 chevy belair and when i say it was a pain to change the tires that might be the understatement of the century. The manager (Steven I think was his name?) and a couple of his well trained amazing crew, not only got the tires changed but did it with a smile. Make sure you get the warranty so every two weeks you can take your car in because the same tire is leaking and they can let you know they can't find a leak. I paid for a tire that holds air, not slowly leaks it out causing me to repeatedly have to either fill it with air or go into discount ask them to check it and have them tell me nothing is wrong. I am going to have to just replace the tire elsewhere because I cannot keep going back and dealing w my tire every few weeks. read more

Took my truck in for screw in tire at 10:50am was told they would have it done by 1:00pm, came back at 1:00 pm and they had not even brought my truck in the shop yet. Manager said I'll bring it in now it will be done in fifteen minutes. I already waited two hours I seriously doubt they can fix a flat and rotate the tires in fifteen minutes. I was told I had a nail in my tire when I got my oil changed so I immediately took my car to discount tire to have the nail removed and the tire repaired. When my car was done Josh told me that there was no nail and they inspected all four tires knowing I was headed out of town with the car. We got the car safely to California with no issues. Very busy tire store! I needed one tire replaced on the passenger hand side. My husband dropped off the car around 2:00 and they told us to come at 6:00 for pick up (they mentioned they close at six but will have the tire replaced and we can pick it up after 6:00). After sitting in the waiting room we were led outside since our car was pulling up to be worked at exactly at six. They locked the doors with other customers waiting inside so that no one can enter. I'll admit, it was pretty hot out and we stood outside for about 20-30 minutes before our car was ready, and that wasn't fun. But the workers were very nice so that helped lift my mood a bit! After I got home I was confused because the receipt said that if we are replacing less than four tires, they recommend the new tire be placed on the back axel. I have read on the internet that this is an accurate recommendation. Our tire on the front passenger side was just removed and replaced. I'm not sure if it was just because they were too busy to move the new tire to the back or whether it was a mistake, but thankfully we have some sort of warranty for the tire so we will most likely be in to get that checked! Buying new tires typically isn't an enjoyable experience. But I am so impressed with the service I received today from Brent and Frank. I just bought a new tire a few months ago. A pricey run flat tire. I ran over a nail a few weeks ago and was so bummed I was going to have to purchase another $250 tire. most tire stores don't cover nails. Brought my car in for a flat repair. I had my air pressure checked and they told me if the light comes back on to bring it in for a FREE repair. I was able to walk right in and be helped. Both associates I interacted with were very polite. Very chivalrous, sounds silly, but they opened the doors for me and allowed me to enter through the door first. Very very polite. They were quick to get to my car and fix the repairs for FREE! Although they got busy later, they greeted everyone and were still super fast on getting through the line. read more

Listen, if I ask you to call me when my tires come in and you say"absolutely" then I call 30 minutes after an appointment time and you say yes the tires came in!!!!! Omg strike 1 Then I say I will be right over for my scheduled appt. ok should be quick but takes a few minutes once we bring it in. I.e... to put two tires on a rim and put back on car. I went for a walk. Did you call me to tell me about a lug nut you couldn't removed? Strike two Well let me see, fing caller ID oh yeah I called that number earlier........NOT!!!!!! Then 2 hours later from scheduled appointment, this is my view...strike 3. I guess the at least 6 -8 sets of new tires, Army Veteran(not that I want anything but yes multiple sets as Active Duty, and the to day your going to do something and not do it. Shame on you. Nothing stinks worse than having a blowout on the freeway. That's why its important to maintain/replace tires. Sorry thats my auto insurance adjuster pitch. Discount is the only choice for me, and I drive all the way from Maricopa to Ahwatuke because the difference in price and service is so drastic. The employees at this location are incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. They can walk even the most nervous buyer through the buying process. To top it off prices are the best i can find. I had a flat tire, and went to Discount Tire in Ahwatukee to have it looked at. They told me that a nail had pierced the sidewall and I needed to have the tire replaced. There was still plenty of tread remaining on the tire. I asked Discount Tire if they would put air in the tire so I could take the car home, but they refused to. My husband brought his compressor in his truck, put air in my tire, and followed me to Dana Tire in Chandler. Dana Tire determined the nail was right in the middle of the treads, patched the tire, did a rotation and balance, and had me back on the road good-as-before for under $60. Was it cause I'm a girl? Hope not. I'm always hesitant to get automotive stuff done on my own. I'd like to think that taking advantage of the ladies and their car troubles is a thing of the past, but after my experience here, I can't help but think otherwise. Literally within minutes of walking in to seek help on a single tire that was losing air, I was told everything that was wrong with all of my other tires, and that I was going to need a new set if I didn't want to risk a blowout, AND that it was going to cost me $400+ to do it. Ok, fine. Appreciate the tip. But can you take my car into the garage and at least look it over first? I prefer to do my research, and am already a little distrusting considering it only took seconds to be told that I was going to need to spend tons more than what I walked in intending. And maybe it's true that I did need new tires, but I think there's an art to sales and service, and this sir most certainly did not have it. So, I told him I would think about it, but that I would like the tire I came in for fixed to ensure safety in the meantime. After an hour and a half of waiting across the street, I came back to a car that had yet to be seen. I complain, they take it back. Tell me it cannot be repaired and that for whatever reason they can't even put my donut on (something about my brakes being too big?) Sounded bogus to me, but regardless, I left over 2 hours later in the same predicament as I arrived. Maybe worse, because I was so highly disturbed and disappointed by my dealings here. I bought a set of tire from discount about 14 months ago for my wife's '99 SL500. When I went in this week for their rotation they told me they could not rotate the tire because the front tires were worn off on both sides below the wear points. This was due to the fact that they set the air pressures to low in those tire. They only had 14lbs of pressure in them, and they should have been at 30lbs. The tires were rates for 60K miles, but they only had about 10k on them. The new set they put on the rear had 24lbs in them, and they looked fine, but they should have been at 35lbs. Discount would not stand behind their failed work. They are the ones who set those pressures wrong, but I could not prove that fact. They tried to say the chrome on my rims was delaminating inside, and that was causing them to lose pressure. That was total BS, because both front and back tires had matching pressures on either side. I'll be finding a new tire store next time after this. read more

They take so long and misquote the time. They didn't even call to let me know that it would take almost an hour longer than quoted. They don't have good deals like they did years ago, and they pay zero attention to detail. They gave me my truck back with a huge piece of metal that held the mud flap sticking straight out. I could have killed a pedestrian with that, or scraped someone's nice car. Regardless I am in total disbelief about this. I asked them to take it off and they did... without an apology. It's difficult to write this review given that I've been a loyal customer and used Discount since college. Like many seasoned Discount customers I use the appointment tool they advertise so that I can make the process efficient for Discount and myself rather than walk-in service. I even used their email reminder they sent to me to schedule the appointment. In short, I followed their process. Unfortunately I find there is really no value or efficiency to using the appointment tool. It only offers a false sense of security in managing my time. After making my appointment and arriving before my scheduled appointment time I found myself in the same first-come first-serve process that I tried to avoid by pre-scheduling my service appointment. It's like making a dinner reservation, then arriving at the restaurant to learn that there are 5 people waiting ahead of you to be seated just because they walked in before you, yet had no reservation. At the end of the day Discount Tires is just another walk-in tire service company similar to other tire service companies. Further, I think they use the online schedule tool so you early commit to their service by scheduling an appointment and not looking at other tire service options. Hence, the the reason I'm writing this review. I chose Discount for the value, locations and the customer service/integrity. With regards to value there are several other options including small and large providers like Costco and Sam's, where I get money back annually for my purchase. The Discount Tire online appointment tool is just an attempt to lure customers into their stores. If you don't believe me look at some of the other poor reviews regarding "scheduled" appointments. My apologies for the harsh review AND this is no reflection to the team at this or other discount tire locations. They were polite, professional and did their best. Nor did I complain as I could see they were trying their best. If anything, I felt badly for them as this online scheduling tool is clearly a corporate driven program to make them "more efficient" and pushes the team to work faster. The folks at the store are very nice people! That said, it's easy to highlight issues without offering a suggestion. The online scheduling tool could improve if each day you had someone dedicated to calling names on the appointments board at their appropriate time. This would serve two purposes. 1. Please and respect those customers who use the tool, follow the process and value their time. 2. Shows other new/existing customers that Discount is more modern and efficient than other tire providers. Hence, the reason you should choose Discount over others. read more

I was experiencing a issue with my vehicle veering to the right and after spending $250 at an auto repair shop, they mentioned that there was a tire issue (Which I purchased from Discount Tire Company a few months prior). Come to find out, the WRONG tires were put on my vehicle. The company replaced my tires with the correct tires and after a half a day including a few trips in with a wait time of about an hour and a half, discount tire couldn't provide any compensation for my trips to the auto repair shop besides an apology. When a company makes a mistake, most companies should own up to their mistakes yet this company decided not too. read more

Found ourselves with a flat tire, as it looked like we ran over a nail -hole was middle of the tire (ie: not side wall), in the still-very-present tread (tires have less than 10k miles on them) -no big deal, simple plug & patch (my SO worked for Discount Tire back *years* ago). This location told us it was irreparable. When asked to show where the hole was & why it was irreparable, the employee stammered & stuck to his guns, stating it's simply irreparable, that the hole was too big to patch. We left that location & immediately took the tire up to the Discount Tire location on Elliot (3-4 miles away?) & they repaired it easily & no problem -simple plug & patch, they said. Yeah. So just watch your back at this location. It's sad that we had to go through this, fortunately, with my SO's experience in this industry, we weren't taken advantage. Please look out for yourself & don't be afraid to take the time for a second opinion. It saved us the cost of a new tire. read more

Disappointed in my experience in Discount Tire over the Labor Day weekend. Bought 4 new tires and left the car with them. Took them over 2.5hrs to put the tires on the car, which is longer than I have experienced in past visits. Got the car back in the late afternoon and drove it around for a bit. The next morning I come out and TWO tires are completely flat. I fill them back up and can hear the air leaking out of the value stem, which is usually due to faulty installation. Of course these guys are never open on Sunday and Monday is a holiday. So I'm stuck without my car for 2 days. Maybe they will make it right, but pretty much ruined my long weekend. read more

Should have wrote this review last time I was in and they helped me out with my tires, again these guys are awesome. I've been using this Discount Tire for years as their prices are great, and if they're not the best show them and they price match immediately. I'm usually not one for buying extended warranties but the $20 or so is money well spent. I've had to deal with a cracked side wall from catching a curb and a small bubble forming on my other car on the tire, they replaced both defective tires no questions asked and gave me an awesome pro rating on the matching tire so I could keep the tires even. Scheduled an appointment made it easy and fast. I recommend this place. The wait time was a little longer than expected. I see that everyone was busy helping out customers. I think they should have an express pick up lane when you drop off and get a text that your car is ready. I think that would make the process even better. They had my car done as expected! read more

Crossthread my bolts last time i replaced my back tires; make an appointment for 1:00 pm the day before to rotate my tires and when I come in on time your salesman says I have to wait 45 minutes and then has the odacity to try and make me feel like I should be grateful I don't have too wait an hour and a half; the salesman tries to upsale me on some wheels when I don't need any. 8/24/21 - Brought my Jeep Wrangler JKU in to get all 4 tires rotated. I was helped by Sebastian Mendoza who checked me in and gave me a time estimate for the work to be completed. As the garage area extremely busy, he went in to help speed the work along. He could have made any excuse for delay but he took it upon himself to perform the work while the rest of the team was duly busy. He was very professional and as I watched from the customer waiting room, I was very impressed as he was the most thorough Discount Tire employee I've witnessed to date. He verified tire balancing, wheel spacer torque was correct and tire/wheel reinstalled and torqued. This is an employee who went above and beyond and management should be made aware.
