Casey at Firestone was filling in at the Greenfield shop however works at the Power st shop. He is a rip off, watch out ladies. Told me that I needed things that I didn't need. I asked him to call first before approving any work. With only 60,000 miles on my car he replace my spark plugs, which didn't need it. when he called me he informed me that my car was in great condition and only needed AC freon he never mentioned changing the spark. it cost me close to $1600 in two hours. He also charge me for 5.5 hours and my car was only in there less than two hours. Be aware ask questions I learned my lesson never will go back. their motto is honesty. Casey has no honesty. Most good mechanics will tell you that your car only has 60,000 miles on it and doesn't need to change the spark plugs until over 100,000 in most cases. I went back to the Greenfield shop and hopefully they're going to make it right. It's not about the money. It's about the honesty. I want to make sure that the work was done. read more

Bought 4 brand new tires two years ago went in today for a balance rotate and possible alignment only to be told I need 4 brand new tires and an alignment. Supposedly my tires are bad because I have an alignment issue. These people are scammers and crooks. How is it that just two years later I need to replace all 4 tires and need an alignment? I brought my Cadillac to Firestone due to an engine overheating issue and the air conditioning not blowing cool air when I came to a stop. Living in Arizona my whole life, I know these are common issues, especially at the beginning of summer. I was shocked when Firestone quoted me $2,652.91 and said they needed almost two weeks to fix the problem, citing four hoses and two fans that "needed to be replaced." Having had issues with Firestone overcharging and providing misleading information in the past, I decided to get a second opinion. I had my car towed to a repair shop recommended by a family friend, and I am so glad I did. They had my car back to me in just three days, and the total cost was only $489.56. The actual issue was a small crack in the coolant bottle. When I asked about the fans, the technician informed me that they were simply unplugged. As a 22-year-old woman working in a jewelry store, there is no way I could have unplugged two fans myself. How could my car leave Firestone's facility with two unplugged fans and supposedly four broken hoses? While I don't expect Firestone to acknowledge this, I want to caution anyone, especially young women, considering using Firestone's services. At the multiple Firestone locations I have visited, the staff treated my sister and me with a lack of respect, as if we were inexperienced teenagers. My family and I will be canceling our Firestone credit card and taking our four cars to AZ Automaster from now on. Ridiculous! I barely limped in, with 2 pounds of pressure left in my tire, after having suffered a cut a few miles away. But no matter how much I pleaded, and how much I offered to pay, they refused to help me. The reason is that apparently they have a policy wherein they don't work on Porsches. I suppose they're welcome to refuse service to anyone they want, but this policy is absurd. I don't want engine repair or any work on any sophisticated system; I'm asking merely for a patch on my tire. I am now awaiting a tow to a tire repair shop that isn't terrible. read more

One of my tires was really worn out and they recommended all four tires be replaced. I bought four new tires. They said they were unable to align the tires because a tire iron was bent and they had to order one from Subaru for $1600. Firestone pressured me to get the repair and send numerous emails encouraging me to make an appt. I took my outback to Subaru and they aligned my tires and checked out the whole car. NOTHING WRONG. No damage at all. When I called Firestone to complain they apologized and speculated their alignment machine must have been off. It almost cost me thousands of dollars of needless repair. read more

Up until today, this location was my go-to shop, I've been using them for about 15 years. This latest repair, however, has left a very bad taste in my mouth. I called for an estimate for a very specific repair. The price sounded reasonable, so I took the car in. Then they call back "after the inspection" and the number is almost 3x, for the exact repair I had called about... The excuse given is that the person I talked to on the phone was "new" and not qualified to give me an estimate. I should have pulled the car back and gone elsewhere, but I needed the car back sooner rather than later. They were quite unapologetic when I picked up my car. Time to find a new shop. read more

After being jerked around by other repair shops, I was so happy to find this place. Jerrod and Mike seemed ready and willing to help me. When one shop told me that a nail in my tire voided my warranty, and I needed a new tire, these guys showed me that based on where the nail was, there would be no issue at all. They patched it and got me on my way. I was so thankful to them and told them both in perosn. I also called a week later and told their boss about my great positive experience. Three months later, I figured I'd give them a try with an oil change. I arrived 10 minutes early, and while I waited in the cold while Jerrod was at the register, I did not complain. I thought I was in good hands. When he let me in at 7, I told him once again how much I appreciated their past help and that I was so glad to find a place that didn't "recommend" every maintenance issue in the book and make me worried that my car was unsafe. He assured me that they had great people and do not do business that way. Well, sadly, they do. I got a call three hours into waiting for my oil change (really, it takes that long?) by a girl who I wasn't even dealing with. She told me all four of my tires (just replaced two years ago with 70k mile tires) and in horrible condition and in need of immediate replacement. I also needed a litany of other repairs. As she put it, "not because my car warranted it, but the manufacturer recommended it." Of course, NOBODY who I had already dealt with was there when I picked up my car. I have since had it assessed by Discount Tire and they showed me my tires in close detail as they could not replicate Firestone's findings. I had a second evaluation, which too proved Firestone's advice fraudulent. I would never go here again. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I stopped by last week to make sure they had all of my fleet vehicle info in order for the 10k service (oil change, rotate tires etc). Made an appointment for t first thing Monday morning. They told me to count on 2 hour....not sure why it takes that long). After waiting 2 & 1/2 hours I inquired if my vehicle is ready. The answer was No! We have not even looked at it yet. Why make an appointment if you are not going to honor it? I was specifically told that I was the first vehicle in that morning. I inquired about their inefficiency whereas the employee says that they are very very efficient. Then proceeded to tell me there were 5 cars in front of my car.....how is that if I was the first vehicle of the day. He then told me that those cars were left over from the day before that they did not get to....so much for efficiency. They finally got to my vehicle and I observed it only took 20 minutes, not 2 hours. I asked if they rotated the tires and the answer was No...they look good, no need. I asked if oil was changed, more excuses. My company paid for the services, of which I believe absolutely was not done. I was sent an invoice that I was only given a courtesy check of the vehicle!!!!!! What???! Complete rip off waste of time and money!!! Stay away. I have used this location for many years and different vehicle. No more. Management needs to take a serious look or maybe management itself should be terminated. read more

I'm teetering between 1 and 2 stars, this was my first experience with Firestone and over all not a good one. I needed my tires rotated (and had a slow leak one 1) which I always do at discount tire for free but the wait at discount was ridiculous when I went in. I happened to be on the phone with a friend as I drove into the parking lot and she recommended firestone. I immediately called them and there was a charge $20 and only a 30 minute wait. Great...I have no problem paying for convenience! I went home grabbed my kids and hubby and dropped the car at Firestone. Sales person was exceptionally slow trying to predetermine what issues and cost I might have with the slow leak (maybe a valve, maybe this, maybe that) and then told me it would be $40 for tire rotation. After explaining I called and they told me $20 he quickly adjusted. Went to dinner, came back for pick up....very close and o closing time and the sales man told me I was all set. They checked my slow leak tire and everything was fine. He even watched the tech dunk it for air bubbles and nothing. Short story Long.....I've been having to fill the tire every 3-4 days (as usual) so my hubby took it to his tire guy today. Big screw in the tire - not possible to miss it! My driver side tire was making noise when driving. Thinking it was a wheel bearing I had to get it looked at. Turns out it was just a lose axle screw that just needed to be screwed it. They also noticed my alignment was also messed up, after the alignment corrections my car runs like new and feels like a smooth ride on the road. read more

I had them replace my struts and front control arms. After they completed the suspension work, the car made a ton of noise. I found out they forgot to use lube! I After Firestone fixed this error my suspension was still knocking and again I had to take my car back. This time the Firestone couldn't hear the noise. So I had to go back the next day to recreate the sound. The third time around the tech discovered a few lose bolts and stated the problem was solved! But that was not the case. Now my car is still making a clicking noise in the suspension. I'm on my 4th time taking my car to this terrible location and I'm still hoping they can fix the problem Firestone created. The guy said it was going to be 45 more minutes!!! Then, best part, they take the car back and say they can't do the alignment because they only have a 4 wheel machine and his body is crooked. My friend's tire needed patching, which was our guess since it had a slow air leak and the tire pressure light went on two to three days ago. I called in two places before heading here. O Tires had a 2-4 hour wait time on a Friday around 2:00pm. To be safe, I gave Discount Tires a ring, per my friend's request. They didn't answer and I got their voicemail. So of course, naturally, my favorite spot, Firestone, answered my call. They weren't that busy and could see us today and it's free for tire inspection. It only took 1 hour to do the tire inspection and patch a tire. Great customer service with great low prices. Will be recommending more people here. read more

I continue to go here for two main reasons: 1- Exceptional customer service every time 2- They continuously save me money over what the dealership has told me I needed repaired. Latest trip my husband was told by the Chevy Dealership here in Chandler by I-10 that he had a cracked motor mount = a $1,000+ repair and loose front ball joints $$+ Dave at Firestone had his crew inspect the vehicle to find no crack at all and no need for any repairs. Gotta give them a solid review after my last visit. Had to get one of the cars looked at and figured I was in for new brakes and tires. Firestone will check brakes for free. Now I was sure they would tell me I needed them. They came back, earlier than anticipated with their diagnosis. Told me I did NOT need brakes but the tires were a for sure. Gave me a good idea of where I'm at with the brakes, and even walked me through their cost versus Discount Tire for new tires. Having been loyal to DT for over a decade, my mind was pretty made up but after them being priced more affordably, with a longer warranty, and all the other considerations met, the great staff at firestone had won me over. Further, I feel they have dealt with me honestly and provided good work over my few visits to them over the last 2 or 3 years and I hope they keep up the good work. Firestone INCOMPLETE Auto Care. There's an ever growing list of BASIC services that Firestone won't do. They won't touch a car with camber plates on it. They won't perform a transmission flush on an F-150. Now they won't mount any tires that aren't bought through them or Tire Rack. I'm done wasting my time being told they won't do very simple, basic jobs. I'll go elsewhere to shops that charge the same or less, do the work better and quite simple will DO the work. read more

I went in with no appointment for a wheel alignment. They seemed busy, but I was still out in under an hour. The salesperson informed me of my responsibilities to keep the warranty on my service in tact. Hopefully the alignment was done properly. Look through all the other local reviews on here, like you're already doing if you're reading this, and find a SMALL, reputable local shop with good reviews. Firestone is just a big crappy chain, they are WAY overpriced for their services. Firestone and similar places may be thorough when it comes to SOME issues, but these mechanics are just reading codes from the diagnostic machine. And can we talk about diagnostic prices? Like $90 or $100. Take your car to Keith's (Interstate Auto) right next door. He's honest. FREE diagnostic. Finds the REAL problems. Firestone COMPLETELY MISSED a vacuum leak on my gal's car, but Keith found it. Firestone wanted to charge us over $2000 for all the things they wanted to do, many just precautions. They would have replaced my mass air flow sensor, without even TELLING ME they can be cleaned, and then completely miss the vacuum leak? I don't think so. The front desk girl is nice, but the mechanic I talked to was kinda rude, pushy, and just sounded annoyed to have to talk to me. Don't go to Firestone. Find somewhere else. ANYWHERE else. read more

The staff here was more than helpful when I came in. I called with a tire worn all the way through only an hour before closing. Mike, who helped me, was more than kind and understanding. He was able to explain the prices and option (because there was only one kind in stock) and took into consideration my needs. Beware! What rip off artists! I went in for a tire that was bad. They said it was my fault and then would not even rotate my tires. Then they kept my Lexus key and we had to go back again and pick it up. Why did they take it if they wouldn't rotate my tires? When my brother tried, it was so tight, he broke the key lug. Went to California where they rotated the tire no problem and gave me a new lug no charge at all. read more

At a quarter to closing time these wonderful gentleman took me in, even though they were ready to go home. I heard a clicking noise when I was driving and discovered what ended up being a roofing tack in my tire. I had a huge day planned for work tomorrow staring at 6am, and needed this repaired TONIGHT. It was not repairable. Not only did they see me at closing time but after finding out they could not repair the tire, I purchased a tire in which they stayed over time to install. This location used to be fantastic. I'd been coming here for 5+ years, spending thousands over the life of my car. The guys were honest, efficient, friendly, fast, and I always left feeling safe and confident and not taken advantage of. Over the last 6-12 months I've seen that longtime staff disappear and the location be populated with folks that don't seem to know what they're doing when it comes to cars OR customers. Confusion at checkin, non-mechanic "associates" that can't interact with customers with any degree of skill. But, let's focus on the quality of work- I used to come here because they were honest. They would always do a complete check then run down a list of what they found and let me choose based on their advice. Now- no more. Those guys are gone and I wish I knew what shop they were working in because I'd drive pretty far to get to do business with them again. The prices are outrageous compared to what they used to be. And the quality of work is terrible. I took my car in there last week for what they called a "fuel leak" and now after filling my car with gas it's stalling out and I'm scared to even drive it. I am reading through the experiences of others over the last year and that's exactly what I have experienced- shoddy workmanship and lack of attention to detail along with extremely inflated prices for "labor". UPDATE Firestone went through my car with a fine tooth comb. They identified the root cause of the issue and took ownership. They made the necessary repairs, and the car is running better than it has in years. The Manager is professional, helpful and transparent. They have always been professional, timely and reasonably priced, but my latest visit was a disappointing and surprising disaster. I went in for an oil change, and there was something wrong with the brakes. The brakes were a surprise because the same location serviced them less than a year prior. They showed me the new issue - the calipers had gone bad. They fixed the new problem and replaced the parts from the previous service for free. I was a happy customer... until I picked up my car. As soon as I turned the key, I knew something was off. The engine did not sound or feel right (subtle but noticeable). The car was sluggish during acceleration. Still, it ran without significant issues so I took it home. Two days later I took my family on a road trip. We were headed up a steep incline and all of a sudden we lost power and white smoke exploded out of our tailpipe. I took the car back, explained the observations when I picked the car up and the performance during the road trip. They were closing in 45 minutes so the manager said they'd look at it and have an answer the next morning. The next morning came with an $1,100 estimate to fix the car. The manager, under the impression that only the brakes were repaired, maintained that their service had nothing to do with the issues causing the performance and behavior I observed after I picked it up. I disagree. If my car worked (except for the brakes) before I dropped it off, you work on it for two days, and there's a problem when I pick it up - you caused the problem. I'm waiting on a response from their Corporate Office. I hope they choose to take ownership of this. read more

I have been to this location several times now and I always feel comfortable and I never feel like I'm going to be told I need something that I don't. I was there this morning for my check engine light, it had been on since Monday and this morning I felt my car was not accelerating as normal so I took it in. They ran a diagnostic test and assured me that nothing was wrong, I was insisting that it wasn't driving right so they drove it and confirmed everything was fine. It was fast and easy and cheap....I was only charged 50% of the diagnostic fee! This is definitely my car care place. read more

I took my car here a few months ago to replace a leaking valve stem. Decided to get an oil change as well. Went to pick up my car, valve stem issue was not addressed, so they fixed it while I waited. No big deal. Well now, the same valve stem that was supposedly fixed is leaking again, so I took it back and they want to charge me for flat replacement or whatever. It was obviously never fixed right the first time! Why would you want to charge me for a valve stem that YOU replaced and is leaking again. Zero stars if I could. The tech didnt even seem to understand, just kept screwing with the valve stem letting more and more air out. I left frustrated and irritated by this horrible service. Never again am I going here. Would not recommend this place even for something as simple as a valve stem. read more

Ive been going here for years, but something has changed slow no one answers the phone. Ive had defective part put on my car 3 times! Thats 3 times Ive had to leave my car all day to get this taken car of. And when I thought everything was fixed have to take it back for another problem. Now its making the same noise it had when this all started if it were a Choice I would take it else where but if its the parts Ive already paid for... so fustrating Ive paid over a $1000 dollar and its still not fixed right! Now I'll have to be inconvenienced one more time for an entire day without my car so they can possibly get it in and look at it to find out what it is which I'm suspecting it's the same parts which are probably defective.
