Very convenient. I called ahead because I wasn't sure if I'd make it before closing and they said as long as I walks in prior to their closing time, they would be able to take me in that day. Got new tires- my husband thought they were a bit sloppy since they didn't bother to clean up the tires (had paint)- but I'm overall happy with the service. I meant to do this much sooner, but I recently went to Discount Tire to get 3 new tires for my 2005 Scion xB. I easily made an appointment online the night before, and was seen promptly when I arrived by Erick. We went out to my car, he took some notes, and kept me updated on everything he was writing down. He was even able to match my three new tires with the one I didn't need replaced, so they're all the same tire! When we got back inside, Erick told me that it would take about 45 minutes to get the tires taken care of, which I knew would be the case. 30 minutes later or so I was done, and Erick even thanked me for coming in once again! Erick is great! Discount Tire is very lucky to have him, and he is an excellent employee. I work in the customer service field, and Erick went above and beyond! Absolute criminals! Not only are their tires overpriced, but the labor is insane! I ordered 2 tires online and walked in asking how much to mount and balance my tires (which by the way takes 15 minutes TOPS) They told me $75, just for the labor. (The tires I bought online were $68 each, which was a great deal) I assume they are trying to get you to buy their overpriced tires, in which case you get a "discount" and still have to pay $25 each tire for mount and balance. I drove to Firestone, which is half a mile down the road and shocker, $36 to mount and balance my 2 tires vs. $75 at Discount Tire. Nothing against this location in particular or the employees there, I'm sure the prices are set by DT corporate, but that's ridiculous. Never again read more

So today I went to Costco thinking I would get a good rate and experience. Went in for a routine tire change, totally got the run around, and almost got pushed to purchase a third tire that wasn't needed yet. Decided to get a refund and go to Discount Tire where I purchased my previous tires. Not only did they match the price of Costco for the same tires but were $10 cheaper! I came here to get new tires on my car for the first time since I bought it and had a wonderful experience! The customer service was great from the moment I called in to the moment I left. They helped me find the perfect tires that were in my budget and would last 60,000 miles. It only took about 45 minutes for them to install which was way quicker than I was anticipating! They will absolutely work within your budget and are extremely easy to work with! :) One thing to note: They do tack on an extra ~$17 warranty fee per tire but it is optional so you can always ask to have them remove it if you don't want! This saved me about $68! I will absolutely be back to Discount Tire when in need of more tires in the future. read more

Came in this morning get some new front tires. Reyes was super helpful in making sure I got the right amount of tires (because I don't know a lot about tires). He quoted me 1.5 hours - not bad; was alright with waiting. Would have been 5 stars if they had the tires I originally ordered in stock but got ones similar. My mom and I have used discount tires for years we used them several times when we lived in Arizona they where always great about getting us in whenever we needed are tires rotated and they always had great prices on the tires the staff is very friendly and very helpful they always did amazing work are cars they definitely work very quickly and they always did everything professionally and we never had and any issues with the services we got this is a very clean establishment very clean atmosphere they definitely have a very great selection of different style tires and they help you find the best deal for your budget they definitely do great work we where very happy when we moved to learn that American tires is a sister company to them so we could continue giving this company this business they deserve when it comes to finding great tires I would not look any further I highly recommend this establishment for anyone they have great staff and take great pride in what they do thank you discount tires for all of the wonderful services you have provided for us we definitely appreciate what you do thank you again keep up the great work read more

Waited three hours to get a flat fixed. Bought all my tires from them 2 months ago. Spent $1600 on new tires for my work truck and trailer. Heard a guy pull up and say Im in a hurry. I have a meeting to get to. They had his tire changed in less than 10 min. Not racist but it's white privilege at its finest. I'm a Hispanic business owner in my work clothes in my work truck. The best place around. They are warm and friendly... When my 3rd and 4th tire blew out I was hoping they would have it in stock instead of 77th and Shea. They are good too, but these guys on Thomas are top notch. When the 2nd tire blew the new tire got a nail about a week later so I bought it back and they repaired it free of charge. Great customer service. Wasn't very crowded at 9am on Saturday. I'm a fan of BOTH of these things!! I was seriously in and then outta d'er in like 20-25 minutes for tire rotation, air and stuff. All I have to say is wow. And this is my story... I had bought Le Mans brand tires from a Firestone store in Texas (I now live in Arizona). When I needed a flat repaired caused by a nail, I called the local Firestone store. I asked how much it would be since I had bought the tires from them and their reply was, "$25.86, unless you can give us the phone number that you had 5 years ago in Texas, that is the only way we can make it free." I then questioned him, "Isn't Le Mans a Firestone exclusive tire?" He replied, "Yes it is." Now at this point I was just perplexed and all sorts of red flags were going off in my head. I then let them know that it is ridiculous that Firestone is the only store that I could have bought the tires from and they won't fix the flat for free! Needless to say, they also wanted $125 to read the fault codes off of my truck when your local auto parts store will do it for free! After all of this drama, and the stress of trying to figure out why they had such a horrible policy, I called Discount Tire, because I would rather pay $25 to them than help keep Firestone in business. They surprised me by saying, "We will fix it for free." I was completely shocked, and immediately gave them my tire, came back in an hour and they took it out to my truck and loaded it for me! Thanks Discount Tire! And I also had my wife's tires changed and they gave me a lower price since the tire I wanted was out and the next tire up from that would have cost $15/per tire extra! What a great bunch of guys working here! Everyone was very helpful, took care of me right away and explained everything very well. I have been to this location a handful of times, and every time I leave happy. Not just because my busted tires have been fixed, but I didn't feel like I was taken advantage of and I didn't have to wait a million years for them to work on my car. Usually no more than 30-40 minutes. They usually close around 6 but they are so good about making sure to take care of anyone that walks in the door. I have never seen them turn someone away because they are closing. The great thing about Discount Tire is they keep excelent records, I dont have to try to locate my paperwork in the heep of a glove box in my car to get the info. They just need your phone number and bam, full history. The waiting room is nice. Several chairs, good a/c, a bathroom, and complimentary water bottles. High five guys! Tires priced OK. Service - Bad did not listen to my requests and cost me a lot of time. AND could have saved me from buying tires all together but did not. Had a slow leak in the front tire. Took it in, they changed the tires. After the tires were on they told me about the cracked rim where the air was escaping. Tires were not leaking air just the rim. They could have told me this before mounting the tires but chose not to so they could get the sale. Disappointed in this decision. Still had to repair the rim and pay 120.00 plus the tires that I really didn't need. 5 hours sitting at a shop to fix the rim. OK I guess EXCEPT the fact that I spent 170.00 per tire and that was not the problem. Yes still bitter on this one!!!!! read more

I have gone to this location a couple of times for tires and also stopped by when I thought I had a nail in my tire and have always received excellent service. When I stopped because of the nail in my tire, they advised me that it was actually a screw that hadn't damaged my tire. They could have easily charged me for a new tire, but instead they were honest and had me on my way quickly. My favorite perk to this place is that they have a station set up for you to pull up, have an employee check the air in your tires and fill them if needed and you are on your way. :) read more

My husband and I have always bought our tires here. We always get the warranty because crazy stuff just happens to us. But now I really love discount tire because this morning my tire blew at 5 am. By the time the tow truck got the car to discount tire it was 7:15 - 7:30. Even though they don't open until 8, the guys let me in to warm up (it was cold!) and took down my information. Then they told me where I could get coffee and let me chill in their waiting area to stay warm (cause the Sonic doesn't have indoor seating) until my car was ready. I didn't have to ask for any of that, they just did it, and that's why I'm a fan!! read more

Walked into this business after getting an alert on my car about losing tire pressure. It was thirty minutes before they closed and a Friday night. I was thinking could this be worse?! Plus I had wanted to see first pitch at the Diamond Backs game, but NO car needs attention. We walked in. There was an enthusiastic customer service rep that greeted us. He offered us water, since it was HOT outside. We asked him if he had time to check out the tire. They were BUSY, but he said they would get it checked and directed us to have a seat in the nice cool lounge area. The lounge was typical, chairs and magazines. We made took a seat and read magazines. I like a car shop, there are great magazines involving CARS. I did not get to watch the first pitch, but I did get there in the 2nd inning.The guys were professional, courteous, and quick! I will definitely go back when I need tires! read more

Probably the best experience I've ever had going into a auto place. Just to give a idea on how appreciative i am of the service Ima touch on my entire tire buying experience. So I knew I've needed new tires for a while as the tires I had were worn and I just moved to the area so really didnt know of any trustful places to go, so naturally i shopped around. My first place i checked out was a Firestone. When I called they literally would not help me until I went out to check the size of the tire I had. Even though i gave them the year make and model of my vehicle, they somehow didnt have any access to know what kinda tire i needed (i found out later that my smart car only uses one type of tire no matter year and model, so these dudes were completly useless). Being my first call out, I did exactly what they asked for and went out and read them my tire measurements. The Price they gave me? $900 to replace all 4 tires and install. I hanged up Next place i checked was a Michelin Tucker Auto and Tire location. Luckily they magically knew exactly what tires i needed without me having to tell them unlike Firestone. Except. There price was around $780 to replace all 4 and install I tried another tire location that I forgot the name. They charged around 690, So getting better. But still out of my price range. So at this point I'm set on maybe only replacing possibly the front 2 if i can get away with it, so i requested if they could look at my tires to see the wear on them. - So they try and sell me on all these different tests to check my tires, and advise me to make a appointment. And they were gonna charge me for it. So i hang up frustrated. Knowing I'm totally being take advantage of everywhere I go. At this point I'm telling everyone that would listen about how pissed I was that all these tires places were trying to scam me and how I'm going to just buy the tires myself and beg some guy friend to put them on. Or just settle on using FixAFlat on the tire I had a slow leak on and try to get a lil more life out of them untill I can let a guy friend from Estematics (I work in Auto Insurance) take my car in somewhere so they wont be able to scam him. So a friend mentioned Discount Tire that was down the street from where i lived and told me to drive buy after work to buy the tires. I do that 1 minute from walking in the door, some nice gentlemen came to see how he could help me. I just tell him I need new tires but only thinking about replacing a few cause I'm poor(thinking he is gonna try and scam me like all the other places)[but instead] Without even asking he grabs things to measure my tires with walks to the door and opens it for me and tells me follow so we can go have a look at which ones. -impressed already that he wasnt trying to take advantage of me by charging just to look at the tires. We look at them, he agrees the front 2 need replaced and advises that the back 2 are optional depending on my budget but they are a bit worn. So we go in and talk about the prices. So to replace all 4 tires? $460 !!!!!!!!!!!! For the 4 tires and to install them And yes these are the same tires that every other place was trying to charge me $700-$900 for, cause again, my car only uses one brand and one size Solddddd. He asks me if tomorrow around the same time works to pop them on, I agree and the next day I have my new tires. I spent maybe 30 minutes max there while they put on my new tires for me It was incredibly simple, honest and an incredibly friendly experience The guys there didnt give off even the slightest impression that they were out to scam or take advantage of any customers like all those other places i went to and I felt they were being genuine and honest, which is something Ill remember. So of course, this stuck and now whenever anyone talks about tires from here on out I know exactly where the honest business in town is to refer them to. read more

Love Discount Tires. Not so much Synchrony Bank. My family will always be Discount Tire customers, but recently I purchased a set of tires for my BMW. Thought it might be a good idea to get a Synchrony credit card that Discount Tire advertises. I have several credit cards, a good line of credit, and pay my cards off every month. I just wanted the six months no interest payment. My credit score is excellent. But I was turned down, because of insufficient income - over a $1,050 tire purchase. I used my American Express Gold Card and will pay it at the end of the month. But the experience was embarrassing and has left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

I went in to get my tire change. I should have taken my cash out of my glove box, but I still had a little hope left for humanity. When my car was returned to me, the cash was gone. Of course I got refunded, but what's messed up is that customers are getting robbed? This is an all time low. The guy denied it, and I am sure he took it because he found my wheel locks without me telling him where it was. So he went through my glove compartment to get it. Mystery solved. This is my first review as a Yelper. Hope it helps! These guys here at Discount Tire are amazing. Haven't gone anywhere else because I am perfectly happy here. They rotated my tires, aired them up, and performed check-ups for free. They answer all your questions and help you figure out any problems that you may have. THEY ARE ALL FRIENDLY AND SAY HI WITH A SMILE. I seriously appreciate that, you don't get what seems like genuine people these days. The guys here are either really good actors, or they're all genuine and love helping their customers. Again, I appreciate that. I just acquired my first car, a used 2008 Honda Civic back in 2012, and I didn't really know how to take care of my tires. Not much of a car person. They educated me and gave me guidelines to follow. They let me know when I should start considering new tires when the tire tread gets to a certain point, etc. Their prices and sales for tires here are insane. They really do follow their name, I can't really find any other places that have better prices than these guys. So anyway, come here for your tire needs. I woke up to a flat tire this morning on my front driver side. I applied a fix a flat and filled with air but it kept losing pressure instantly. Luckily I live about a mile from this Discount Tire which I can always depend on. I arrived at 7:50AM and they opened at 8AM on the dot but were already busy with the air check line. Busy hard working young men. I was assisted by a gentleman recommending me two new tires because the front passenger tire was very badly balding. They didn't have my tires in stock but he checked around to other locations to find the closest one and actually CALLED to make sure my tires were in stock. I asked if I could make it on the tire I had on and they gladly switched it for the spare in mere minutes so I could get to the location on Scottsdale and Oak. I really appreciate this young man going above and beyond to help me this morning. It's made my day a lot less stressful and this is why I always come back to Discount Tire. The other day I picked up a bolt in the tread of my fairly new Tacoma tire. I swapped the tire for the full size spare--which wasn't inflated as well as it should have been, but it would due until I got it swapped back out. That afternoon, I set up an appt for the Thomas/32nd Rd Discount Tire location on their website (which was VERY easy and user friendly!) for 2:15 pm the very next day. When I arrived at 2:12 pm, the store was very busy, but they got me checked in totally on time without any waiting. I was fully prepared and expected to have to replace the tire to the tune of about $200. When they checked me in, the advisor asked me to look over the damaged tire with to see if there was any chance of patching it and using it to save money since the tire only had 13k miles on it and the tread was in great shape. Come to find out, he was confident it could be patched and said they'd have it done in 45 mins and they would refill and check over the spare as well prior to putting it back under the bed to stow. When all was said and done, they completed all the work in under 45 mins and did it all for FREE! They said the repair is guaranteed for the life of the tire abs that they appreciated my business. They were super friendly, fast, professional and free. I was shocked!! They were outstanding!! I will refer everyone I know to Discount Tire going forward in the future!! Thanks guys! read more

I was actually very impressed. I had gone to discount tire in Tempe about 3 years ago and had remembered having to wait a while. WOW, that has changed. I book my appointment online for a Monday at 4:30. I arrived on time and there seemed to be quite a few people. I spoke to the rep and provided my name and that I had made an appointment. I asked him how long he thought it would be and he said" because you made a n appointment no longer than 35 minutes." I actually had me out of there in 30 minutes. THey also had all the information saved from my previous visit 3 years ago. It was nice that they knew the tires I had purchased before and how they held up. Turns out they had one set left on a pair made for a Honda, he gave me a discount and the tire protector for free. I had told him I really didn't want to spend over $500 and he made it all happen!!!! I had looked at Costco and Sears, doing my research Discount tires does have the best prices and quality for the buck in the valley.
