Left car for rotate and balance. Came back with 1 tire at 20 psi and the tire cover bent inward. 2 other times refused to fix my flat and perform rotate and balance. Said I needed to buy new ones. Nail was under the tire more inward than the one they fixed before. The other one was a small nail that didn't even puncture the tire. They didn't bother to check that one. The air wasn't even leaking. Either management is incompetent or no one inspecting the workers' works afterward. Or worse case, they are doing shady business here to get you spend more money. This place needs to be investigated. Been DC tires customer for over 10 years. May start taking mine and relative cars to Costco. read more

If you ever need tires and wheels this place is awesome! We've been doing business with them for over 10 years I just got new tires and rims from the Ford dealer due to an accident . My tires came from Discount Tires and they put the wheels on. Unfortunately my old rims didn't make it back into my car and back over to ford and were sold before I could get back to discount tires. I called and talked to Nick the manager of the store and they paid for my old rims what it would cost them to purchase! These guys are top notch. If I ever have will damage you can I'll never go to Rockwall Ford I'll have my car towed to Discount Tires in Rockwall best service overall. read more

I do not recommend discount tire. Hate feeling pressured into buying things you don't need? Well this is a place to avoid. Go in to get 1 new tire- having 3/4 life left on the other 3 and they will still tell you that you need all new tires. Another instance; I go in as an appointment to get a flat repaired, I wait 30 minutes only for them to come tell me that they aren't able to fix it because it looks as though there is too much interior damage. I wait another 20 minutes for them to put the tire in the bed of the truck and bring my vehicle around (the spare was already on the truck before my appointment). I take the tire to another shop for a second opinion... and they fix the tire. I understand it's the job of discount tire to sell tires, but them choosing to screw people over to make money must be of enjoyment to them. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk. read more

In California they go by the name Americas Tire Co. and for years no matter where I was if there was a Americas Tire Co , or now in Texas Discount Tire , has been my go to tire store. However the overall friendliness of this location needs a little work. They do great work at most locations. But they can be more friendly. read more

I have been a customer of discount tire for over 5 years Recently they have done very questionable work on two of my vehicles. Charged me for balancing on a vehicle that I had purchased lifetime balance. told me over the phone to come by and they would make it right when I arive treated me as if I didn't know what I was talking about and did not make it right. Paid them $124 to mount two tires and balance all 4 when we left there the tire pressure light came on because all 4 tires were off by extremely different amounts. Now they tell us we will have to wait in line for hours once again so they can see wether or not they even balanced them. Not good cutomer service and not good business! read more

On 6-20-16, had appt set at 2:30, at that time which I ordered tires to come in between 10-2, waited at shop for 1 hour before I got helped , then come to find out no tires on delivery today , wasted my time and now next day, had to take off work, btw the manger called CW, he is worthless , no customer service , does even apologizes about my time wasted , poor customer service and management, they problem I care I'm leaving this comment. read more

Let me start by stating Discount Tire Center management in Rockwall is absolutely terrible and very unprofessional. I've been a long-time Discount Tire Center buyer from other locations. They need to fire the local manager and get customer-focused staff instead. Let me share my aweful experience. Previously living in SoCal, I have owned many cars. These vehicles were bought, restored, and sold as a family side business. I share this information because I may not a "certified" mechanic, but I do know auto tech. I recently purchased an Asian manufactured sports car and decided to buy aftermarket rims to enhance the sporty look. Beforehand, I also bought "hub-centric" wheel spacers from the car manufacturer. These spacers perfectly match the current wheel hub and are placed between the hub and rim. They are called "hub-centric" because they exactly match the hubs bore and lip. You use a spacer to extend out the wheel for a sportier, aggressive look and better handling. I've put wheel spacers on my Trucks, Mustang, Jeeps, and other cars with no issue. Discount Tire Centers had been my preferred installer with no issues. I was a big evangelist to friends who thought DTC only sold cheap tires. Contrary, they also have a nice selection of high performance products. So, I go to the Rockwall location. My first visit was fine after a 20-minute wait. They tell me my chosen rim is not in stock, will take a week to get, and require a $100 deposit. I share with them about my wheel spacers and if they would place them while installing the rims. He says "no problem, we put them on all the time". He said it would be a $6 fee per hub. I'm good with it, pay my $100 deposit, leave, and await the rim delivery. The following week, they call me about the rims being delivered. I book an appointment and arrive at the scheduled date/time. This is when EVERYTHING GOES BAD. They were very busy, and I could tell they were trying to rush everyone. You could feel the level of tension in the place. He asked to see my car so we walked out together. I explained that my car was brand new and we were going to reuse my current tires and place them on my new rims. I handed him the wheel spacers to be installed. He looked at me gruffly and said, "what are these?" Tell him about them and he says "we don't install any spacers". My buying decision was based on it. I did not want to leave, remove the new rims, install spacer, and reinstall rims at home. He said, "let me talk to the manager, and I will be right back". This is a humorous part. He walks away from my car, takes a walk through the garage bay, circles back and says, "the manager said we can't install them". I laughed and said, "Sir, I can see the bay from here and you didn't speak to anyone". He got red faced, then angry. To ease the tension I said, "I am not trying to be difficult, I have done this same process numerous times at DTC locations, could we both go talk to the manager". He said, "let me go talk to him since the manager doesn't allow customers in the bay ". I knew he never spoke to him. After 10 minutes, the manager comes up to me, very rude, and says, "Sir, we do not install wheel spacers, it is a company policy" and feeds me a line of jargon about "how my car manufacturer doesn't recommend them." I tell him, "that's interesting because the spacers are from the factory and show him the factory logo. He said, "sir, we can't do it, our policy will not allow us". I asked if I go home, install them, and come back will they install the rims. He says, "sir, we can't install any tire or rim on any vehicle with a spacer". I said okay and point to a Jeep and 4X4 truck getting ready for new wheels. I said, "both of them have spacers" and try to show him. He gets mad. I say, "can I just get my deposit back." He appears shocked and states that he can't give me my deposit back since they have a restock fee. I told him no one told me about the fee and how I showed the spacer to his employee who originally sold me the rims. He said that employee was not educated about their policy but he was still enforcing it. I again said, "please just give me my money back and I will go to another location". He goes into a rant, spitting his words, but refuses to give my full money back. After another 10+ minutes, he demonstrates his lack of knowledge and customer service. He tells me he has 15 years of experience (while shouting) and I have NONE. Wow!, he was so rude. Finally, he grants my deposit back once I ask to go online and look up his incorrect facts. I finally get my money, I go to another local tire provider. Tell him my story. His response was "he's an idiot". Less than 30 minutes, I have new rims installed, lower price, and headed home finally happy. read more

I have been a discount tire customer for 5+ years and have always been more than happy with my experience, but this location has yet to earn a "Badge of Excellence" in my book. Today will be the second time I have had to bring my car in for the rear back tire that is barely a month old. As far as experience goes, it's not even close to "the discount tire" way. I walk in and I explain my peace about what I have been dealing with: I bought 2 new rear tires in May, and now it's June and this is my second time here. The first time I had a screw in my tire, which is beyond anyone's control. But today is the second time and I find out from the guy that they just patched it. Well I bet you can take a wild guess which tire I am having the issue with today. I further expressed my frustration about the issue, and asked about how long it would take, considering this is becoming a (quality assurance issue in my eyes), only to be left with a somewhat sarcastic remark along the lines of "Well, we are pretty uh, busy as you can see, so. Probably an hour to an hour and a half. Sorry." If this was my business I would make sure that I was taken care of ASAP given my situation, as well as anyone else that felt like they had to buy a tent from the REI Store and setup camp inside as many times as they have been waiting in that stale waiting room. Terrible customer relation experience. My sister in law and single mother of two brought he car in for flat repair on Saturday and because of the wait dropped it off and we drop her off back home. She called later At 4:30pm to find out what happened and if it's repairable but she was on hold forever. She called back after 5 and received a closed message so now a single mom of two is stranded without a vehicle over Sunday. She still did not hear from them on Monday and called but put on hold so she went up there to find out that the tire is unrepairable and she had to buy a new tire. She told them that no one called her and she was stranded but they didn't seem to care. They finally discovered that her phone was right in the system but the staff wrote it down wrong on the receipt so they were calling a wrong number. Seems like someone at some point would have looked in the system to make sure the number was correct. read more

I disappointed and disgusted at the way I was treated at this store! I had called the Greenville facility and they did not have them in stock but stated that the Rockwall store did and asked if I was willing to drive. I agreed and so Greenville setup an appointment with them and had them pull the tires and gave me a price. I get to the rockwall store and the man I was told to speak with was out to lunch but they were familiar with the request. We discussed the tire and the specific warranty that came with it. The young man processed my purchase and the $ amt was $400 greater than the price quoted. I inquired and even called Greenville store and was basically lied to as to the reason. Being trusting of a reputable business, I conceded. When I returned to my residence in Greenville , I started looking at the tires. They had not sold me the tires we discussed and in fact sold me the most expensive tires which do not have a comparable warranty. I called both stores and even though the manager was apologetic, was told that I need to return to rockwall and have them replaced in order to get my refund for the difference. I was so upset and appalled at the fact that they took total advantage of me being a woman qnd offered no compensation for my time, gas, or anything. I have to waste time I do not have and I will never do business with them again. read more

Last week I got a new rear tire from the truck dealer, (under warranty, so free!), and then drove straight to Discount Tire to get a matching one for the other side. Two days later, the dealer tire popped and the dealer replaced it again. There was nothing visually wrong with the tire that popped, which leads me to believe it was not mounted properly. In any case, I was feeling a vibration after getting the second tire from the dealer so I made an appointment and took the truck back to Discount Tire where they inspected and re-balanced both rear tires FOR FREE. No more vibration and I have confidence that the tires are mounted properly. I love them! The lesson here is get your tires at a tire place and Discount Tires in Rockwall is one of the best! read more

Went in for a tire rotation and they refused to rotate them because the front tires were too low to safely put on the back. Instead of pushing me to get new tires, I was given a price range for when I was ready to get them done. They even aired my tires for free before I left. The entire crew was very polite. Each one that passed by greeted me and it felt completely genuine. When the time comes, I'll definitely go back for a full set of tires. read more

I've always been a very satisfied customer of firestone. Got an oil change and a free tire rotation while I was there. They found a problem with one of my tires and are having it overnighted for me to put on tomorrow. With my warrantee, new tires are significantly discounted from over 100$ to around 45$. I called to get my tire looked at and possibly replaced. I do have the insurance on my tires. What is the use of having insurance on a set of tires if they never have in stock. The Rockwall business should get good marks for attitude and helpfulness, but there are problems with performance. After having to purchase a new tire pressure monitoring system, I was told that they would not be able to put one in my unused spare tire because it was over ten years old. They gave me a "good" spare tire to replace my original one, but then the pressure monitoring system started giving me trouble. When I returned to the business, a staff member tried for several minutes to resolve the problem. Unfortunately, this took longer than it should have because he stopped working on my problem to help other customers. Finally, he narrowed down the problem to low air pressure in the "good" spare tire. After putting more air in the tire, he sent me on my way with the promise that, if the problem continued, I should bring my vehicle back to them. The problem returned. This time I looked at the "good" spare tire myself. After conducting a check for an air leak, I found a 3" nail in the tire. I fault the business for installing a used tire on a wheel and failing to notice that it had a 3" nail embedded in the tire. Even if it was innocently unnoticed at installation, they should have conducted their own air leak test after mounting any used tire on a wheel. read more

Lazy, incompetent, or both. This tire shop was tasked with removing a nail from my wife's vehicle. Two hours later she picked the car up. Problem: they didn't touch the tire. After inspecting her tire I noticed that the nail was still in the tire. Giving them the benefit of the doubt we called and explained that the tire was in fact not repaired by their staff. Whoever answered the phone was very polite and had urgency in their voice when they apologized and asked fit us to bring the vehicle back immediately. Unfortunately when she arrived they told her that now she had driving too long on it and the tread was too worn out. We'd have to replace the tire. I wasn't aware that a day and roughly 15 miles of driving would do that! When I explained that if they'd fixed the tire yesterday we wouldn't have this problem. They just shook their heads. I asked them to please just do the job you promised my wife yesterday and that I wouldn't be buying a tire from them. They said well we'd actually need to buy a set. These tires are roughly a year old and straight from the dealership. I couldn't help but laugh as I drove to NTB. There they showed and explained tread measurements to us and laughed as they read them off remarking that the tires were well within limits, and still under warranty from the manufacturer for nearly another 30000 miles. No I don't think I'll be wasting my time and money at Discount Tire any time in the foreseeable future. Visit at your own risk and question everything they say. Most importantly take the time to inspect their work because if you don't it may be at your loved ones peril. read more

Always a beat down of bad service at Discount Tire Rockwall, TX; trying to make a buck rather than trying to provide quality service. Took a new tire in to be repaired and they tried to sell me another one AGAIN! I told them I would look elsewhere for a tire and they threw the tire in the back damaging the tire wheel cover. Went to another tire company and Discount Tire Rockwall, TX forgot to put the stem back in the tire and the wheel cap. Every time I go in this place, it's ALWAYS like this from the service, to the "hard sell" to the stuff being forgotten. It depends on who you talk to as to what kind of answer you will get! They need to change their name to "Discount Service/Products" instead of Discount Tire. You end up paying twice as much in the long run by using Discount Tire Rockwall in time, repairs and frustration than going to a reputable tire business down the street. You've been warned! read more
