I've been coming to Firestone now for service for about two years now. I was hesitant to come because I wasn't sure how much I could trust them with the service of my car. Luckily I've had only positive experiences. Not only do I service my car there but I also get my oil changes. It's just convenient to get everything done in one place. I prefer this over a random mechanic. I have usually dealt only with Oscar but recently I was with Norman. I've had all my fuel injectors changed, shocks, spark plugs, alignment, gasket replacement, oil filters, coolant flush, and more. Usually everything gets done within the day. I drop off the car in the morning and it's ready by the time I leave work. How convenient. Prices might be a little higher than other places but it's nice to know they use all original parts and they have warranty over work they do. They've also been very diligent and honest about the work they do or could do, or things you could wait on. Communication is top tier especially when I've dealt with Oscar and now Norman. I'm happy I found a forever place for my car. They usually have specials and work with you on coupons and other ways to try and save some money. I adore this store. Been coming here for over 22 years. They have taken care of all my vehicles. You get what you pay for. Oscar and Danny are incredible. Efficient and guaranteed work. I'm very shocked with the negative reviews as Sugar Land has grown the past 15 years and tempers are low. Set up your appointment early and discuss the situation on the phone first is my recommendation. These people are the best. They have towed my vehicle when I needed them. Moreover, Firestone told me my break pads needed replacement & break flush and fees would cost over $400.00 Luckily, I took my camry for oil change at Toyota dealer a week ago . "Honestly" is something you cannot expect from Firestone. On May 26th I took my car to 3815 Highway 6 Sugar Land, TX 77478 for oil change, after draining the oil I was told that the drain plug cannot be tightened and you need to replace the oil pan for about $900. The oil change for this car had been done by Firestone for years and the drain plug was overtightened or Cross-Treaded by Firestone but they didn't accept the responsibility of what they had done and keep saying it is normal over the time. I have never had any leakage from oil pan for years definitely I don't go there anymore and wont recommend it at all read more

Normally I don't like to write bad reviews but this location really upset me. I went in for a wheel alignment and rotation around 2pm with appointment. Did not come out until 5:20pm. I would have understand if they had told me it was going to be a long wait but they didn't. They even put another car on the rack that came after me. They didn't even have the courtesy to let me know how long it was going to take, nor apologize for the long wait. If I hadn't said anything I would have still been waiting there for 2 more hours. First and last time . Visited due to convenience to replace a tire. Unhappy they broke a sensor. Knowing they did something wrong they never acknowledged they broke a sensor . Day after maintenance, Lexus was the one who notified me it was broken . Unfortunately will not recommend or will visit again. Went to Lexus to get it fixed for $200, went back to Firestone to let them know, they could only pay out $85. Do the math. Poor management and customer service. Good luck if you visit this location. James and the team at Firestone are truly lifesavers! When you has a blown tire on a Saturday night not many options are open. At least they picked up with 3 minutes before closing to confirm they had my tire size. They reserved my tires and I was able to come the next morning to get them swapped out. Had all 4 tires replaced for a 5 hour road trip, almost halfway there the clutch got stuck and the car was severely leaking some fluid. This was NOT happening before we brought it in, and cost us an $800 tow and pending repairs. I passed by this location @642pm yesterday (Friday) to get some air in my tires due to temps changing from 78 degrees to 58 degrees. As I walked up to the door I found the doors locked. I looked at the sign to see they weren't suppose to close till 7pm. I waived at the worker and he came to the door to open it. I asked if he can out air in my tires and claims EVERYTHING is shutdown. I asked where the next Firestone would be he said in a nonchalant way hwy 6 and bissonet and pursued to close the door in me. I thought to myself you all have another 18mins before closing and then thought how inconsiderate to not be concerned for the safety of a female. I have 3 cars and but ALL of my tires and get oil changed at Firestone off of 1092 and the one in the Beltway. Location is just off Highway 6. The location is accessible from either side of the highway. Pretty easy to spot. The interior is clean and neat. There is complementary coffee and wifi. To use the wifi you will need to provide contact info. It's the usual signup to use wifi method to get your info. Didn't get a chance to visit the bathroom so no idea on how clean that is, sorry. My first experience at Firestone started because Discount Tires didn't have the Firestone tires. I gave them a call to come in and was able to do so the same day. The wait wasn't really long at all. However, the tire that I needed wasn't in stock so I had to come back the next day. No big deal. The next day I was able to have my tire switched out with an approximate 30 minute wait. Although, this was right before a tropical storm, so maybe that's why the wait wasn't so long. Overall it was a pretty good experience. Only part I was "eh" about was the initial phone call. The guy who picked up wasn't very coherent, it may have been the phone connection but it was difficult to get the message across. Apart from that it was a pretty good experience. Was charged about $15 for the labor of a tire change. Not sure how that compares industry-wide. read more

But they replaced everything under my hood the first time I took it in. PLEASE MAKE IT MAKE SENSE! I've now taken my car back to this place about 8 times now that they've had their hands on it. They do a really good job in ripping you off, wasting your time/ money. They will gouge you, no doubt about it. NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE. I came in for a simple oil change and POSSIBLE alignment since I didn't know the cost. I ASKED them to let me know what I needed done (I understood this meant I needed to pay for the car inspection fee). When the bill came up it was over $600 for everything. He proceeds to admit that he added a $200 charge "by mistake" AFTER I told him that was a bit much (imagine if I didn't say anything???). I told him I wanted to look at each charge individually, which he then begins to add coupons. At the end, I specifically told the guy that I wanted to take off certain features and we had agreed on the final services. 20 minutes later he came back saying that he already did an alignment (which was a service I knew didn't cost me $90 since I had done it elsewhere for about $70) Prior to taking off the alignment the man kept pestering me that $90 was the cheapest in the area (bullshit). I said no, I want to look at other options. THEY DID A SERVICE I DID NOT AUTHORIZE THEM TO DO AND they threatened me that I could not leave until I paid. Was surprised to see that this location was not an even an option on Yelp so created it. Before reading, please preface that this place legitimately deserves 5 stars..and I usually very reluctant to give those out. A few days after a road trip from Austin, my tire light had come on and after checking was annoyed to find that both my left rear and front tires had been punctured. I only realized the severity of the damage while stopping for coffee on my commute and took it to the nearby BMW Dealership (car is BMW) where after waiting 2+ hours was told that I would need two new tires for $300 each or $600 total. I knew this place from when I had my Toyota so (slowly) drove it to this location. Within five minutes of my arrival, the specialist (forgot name) did a quick glance at my car and said that while the tires were not in stock, he could get them to the garage within the hour for $200 per tire (dealership was giving same brand of tire for more). He quickly gave me an estimate and after agreeing to it offered to drive me home during his lunch break of which he had only 45 min. After getting home and doing work (NOT waiting in the lounge area of the dealership), I got a call the tires had been delivered, installed, and was ready to go. Something else I really appreciated it is that it doesn't take long to realize I am pretty car-ignorant but the specialist made 0 attempts to con me into unnecessary additions that would cost more. Dealt with Casey twice (was told to see chris, not sure if that would've helped) Spent $700 ,on an 03 Chevy suburban, to get the car to stop rough idle, dying occasionally at stop lights. Always cranked back up, still does. 2 oxygen senors, $200 , or $100 each Lock cylinder, $92.18 (which still works the same) (still have the same key too?? Didn't know that was possible) Horn contact kit $40.57 (only found bc he said the cylinder was locked) PROBLEM ONE! 2 oxygen sensors cost $50 or $25 each Lock cylinder $24 at advanced auto Horn contact kit $16 at advanced auto (Parts geek and others have these parts bout 30% cheaper) but we won't go there.... END OF THE DAY, that's not why I'm here.. MAIN PROBLEM!!!! The car ran better for 25 miles and was having is having the EXACT same issue. Exactly the same!!!!!!!!!!!! He gave my wife a quote during pickup for an intake manifold gasket, 2 knock sensors and harness for an ADDITIONAL $800, but said it's running A lot better and quotes valid thru June, "no rush" BUT it will need it over time. NOTICE I said manifold GASKET!!!, NOT AN INTAKE MANIFOLD **I can get the actual intake manifold!! w/ gasket included for $382 at parts geek!!!!** WOW!!!!!!!! Lil mark ups are okay, but honor your work when you mark up like they do. Now claims 7 days later, the $800 job needs to be done to get her running right LMAO.. THEY reset the new oxygen sensors so it ran better, very briefly. Guess those ASE technicians screw up too. Why not replace that and leave the sensors alone??? And horn?? And lock cylinder that still sticks?? The car may run slightly slightly worse with these oxygen sensors on it. The lock cylinder was never locked, I told him you "gotta jiggle her a lil".. guess what, it's still like that. Family car dies at the light. Not sure I'd consider this a good FAMILY place. (Also same guy Made my wife feel super awkward/ creeped out during the pickup, asked if she was my daughter.. we're 29, kinda weird) Its honestly a great truck. I can keep it running smooth at idle by braking and givin just a hair of gas (SAME THING AS before the $700 JOB), just didn't want my wife doing that with the kids in the car, also told him that day 1. Didn't even get a "sorry this happens, sometimes" on the way out after returning to get keys. Funny thing is God has a way of covering things like this. Word of mouth will go along way. I'm carrying receipts and quotes with me all month. Parts are 4-10 times higher than a good deal. CLEARLY SAW MY WIFE AND TWO KIDS, YOUNG FAMILY.... I came here to get one tire patched and was told it would take 1.5 hours. I2.5 hours later they finally started on the vehicle. I over heard they were short on staff today, and every time I looked out the window the tech that was working on my car was on the phone all the time, answering it and taking calls. Absolutely the worst Firestone I have been to. My father took his SUV in for a coolant leak repair. After ~$900, as it was suggested that he replace a thermostat and all the hoses, we thought it was complete. Fast forward a week later, and all the coolant had leaked out again. Took it back a second time, and the technician "pressure tested" the system for a claimed 15 minutes, refilled the coolant, and sent my dad packing again. Fast forward another week, and the coolant has all but leaked out again. This third time and after a 1 hour pressure test they claim, they said the hoses and clamps were not tight and all the coolant leaked out. Funny how that was not caught the first and second time. Also, a small leak was found on top of the throttle body, which they said my dad declined the repair the first time. We have all the hard copy documentation from the first repair and it said nothing about the throttle body leak ($1500 for that repair, by the way). Manager Stephen said oh, the second page did not print out he first time and that it was "in the system." Funny that this $1500 is now available to print this third time around and "in the system." What a complete waste of time, and a joke. Another place with "total customer satisfaction." This basically means customers waste their time and go back multiple times until we get so sick of going back, we just eat the cost and go somewhere else to fix it right the first time. The only thing good about this place is that they're open on Sundays so they can repair flat tires. 1 star for that. read more

I have been coming to this Firestone location for about a year now. The first 2 times I've been here where amazing and they worked on the car in a timely manner. I had an appointment for 11am which I had made the previous day. I take my car in and they told me that it would take longer than expected. I was told the car would be ready for hours and they had told me 3pm it would be ready when I had an appointment for 11am. I show up at 4pm and the vehicle was still not ready. We bought new tires and had an alignment and an inspection done. We were given expert and punctual service. We made an appointment, (which is important to do with this type of service business) and when we showed up were told that the job would take two hours and it took two hours. I think that a lot of customers of this business do not realize that there are a lot of unexpected delays in this type of work because of issues which cannot be anticipated before getting into the job. Very disappointed. I used to love this place and would take my cars there with confidence. However things have changed and they have tried to gouge me twice. Once was regarding a leaky tire that they said had to be replaced and it could clearly be plugged or patched. The 2nd was gross over statement of repairs needed to the tune of about $2,000.00. I took the car to another place and had it fixed for $450.00 and haven't had any issues. I'm not sure if it's under new management but something has clearly changed. I do not recommend it. I came here because one of the reviews said the prices were reasonable. I don't know where they get work done isially, but they are mistaken! Came for an oil change. I've never paid more than $45. $60 here. I heard them telling a woman about what was wrong with her car, and their price for repairs were easily 3 times any other shop. They were higher than dealerships. If every conversation discusses rebates, that's not a shop you want to go to. read more

So a couple days ago had a bit of a sleeper accident and completely blew out a tire on the left side. Since I was too sleepy to go that day, I went the next day (which was yesterday) with my dad t fix it. First thing I noticed was how very nice and clean the interior was, and it was well organized too. So my dad already has an account with firestone, so he was able to negotiate a pretty good deal. We ended up exchanging all the tires instead for 400-500$, with a 100$ rebate card (yay!). The drawback was that I wasn't told that we were doing a complete service to my car, which was dad's fault since he didn't bother telling me, so what was supposed to be 30-45 minutes turned into 4 hours. Sigh. On the bright side they had free coffee so it was alright, though I wish I had just opted for the free ride home that they gave us. Coulda done a lot more with my day. But as long as my car works great, I can't really complain! read more
