I had a screw in my tire after a long day of work. I went to this Discount Tire near my house. They were amazing!!! They immediately responded to my walking in the office even though they were incredibly busy. Junior walked out to my car and checked out my tire. He said that a repair should be no problem and that it would take an hour. I expected longer, but I instantly received a text notifying me of the status of the car, when it was in the bay, and when it was ready. It took only an hour and they delivered my keys and the screw they removed. I asked them how much and they said NO CHARGE!! I was blown away at their professionalism and respect. Came in for alignment after two failed alignments at a shop in Carlsbad. Felipe is the shop owner, I trust him because he's upfront and no bullshit. His workers are great if anything a little rough around the edges. The tire alignment was fairly priced as I have aftermarket wheels, and if there's any issues they'll address it then and there. Do not expect fair to be cheap however. read more

Hands down, the most exceptional experience is based at this location. I was greeted with a rep who was not only humorous and personable, but also showed great compassion about my situation as if I was a personal friend taking my car in to get serviced. I had to get 2 tires, one of which lived its last 5 days with a painstaking nail in it, and he made sure to check for ALL POSSIBLE alternatives within my budget, get me a credit for the previous tires and even then, still went above and beyond and got me an upgrade for the next best set. You can tell the gentlemen was a true leader in making sure not only the customers were taken care of, but also making sure the staff was educated in a way where they did not feel belittled but empowered learning the ropes there, like explaining the use of their 'thing-a-mabob' tool, (or was it 'thing-a-majig")? He did everything from service intake to going in the back and helping the mechanics change out the tires himself. I was prepared with a good read to wait at least 2-2.5 hrs on a Saturday, AS A WALK IN, but the mechanics were HUSTLING, which explains why the whole visit was only a short 1.5 hrs, if that. At last, I got the gentlemen's name so if there is a Discount Tire accolade that exists, I nominate Juan to receive the highest there is. Awesome place! The staff and very friendly and always get great service. I always buy my tires at www.discount tiredirect.com and then bring them in to have installed for $120.00 save a little bit of money and free shipping and I don't get the warranty. However, I needed 6 tires in a hurry for my company dually pickup truck and bought the whole shabang and got them installed with the warranty. Holy moly I've had to go in about 3 times in a few months to get nails taken out and fix flat tires. They always replace for free no questions asked. Also on my dumpster trailer also. I love this location. Can't speak for them all but I'm coming here forever. read more

Evans Sucks. I experienced great service here today. Jason immediately connected with me as I walked into their bright and clean waiting room to solve my indicator light issue on my Subaru Outback. He showed me where to find my recommended tire pressure for my car (its in the door, who knew?), topped off my tires, and best of all, treated me with professionalism and respect. I've given this places so many chances. I've given this place so much of my money. The staff is helpful in the sense that they've always been kind but the actual service has been poor. I've had to pull over on the freeway and run red lights because my car has been overheating. I spent $3,000 to get it "fixed" And still has had the same issue. I took it again they said they fixed it again and a couple weeks later it continues to happen. I've tried and given a few chances for them to actually fix the issue and not out a band aid over it. I've contacted corporate many times and no response. I'd say skip this place if you can. Spend more somewhere else. Like I said, good solid people but the actual service has been poor on my end. Now I have to spend more money to have then fix an issue they said they fixed twice. read more

Wow twice in one week different cars needed to be serviced. 1st we we going to meet after work and my lady called and said her tire light went on.i thought no big deal it's the first cold snap of the season so I thought the pressure was lie due to temp. We she called me back and said 3 were at 30 and one was at 23. Ohh that's not good I told her to pull in discount tire and I was I min ahead if her. She was freaking out about the cost and it was 5:55 they close at 6:00. They got her car in and found 2 nails in her tire and patched them both. They stayed till almost 7:00 and the best part is that they did not charge her. She was super happy. My truck low tire light came on a few days later and they checked all four they were just low due to the temperature and I was off and down the road quick. The service was good. The tires I got appear to be good but I didn't find out until I got online that these tires are discontinued. Also I see they tacked on a certificate replacement fee for each tire without asking me. I would have appreciated them asking me. It is my right to choose and I would have chosen not to because the tires already have a 60,000 mile warranty which is good enough for me. That's an extra $34 on top of all the other fees. read more

I wanted to give the team here at DT a round of applause. From the moment I walked in the door I was impressed with the cleanliness and of them abiding by these govt enforced regulations. I met with David at the counter and he was very nice, understanding and maintained proper distance throughout the process. I brought our Infiniti Q50 over due to leak in tire and David noticed there was a screw along with checking the thread on the tires which were basically on their last 20k before needed to be replaced. I thanked him for informing me and told him we were getting ready to return it due to our lease being up. He proceeded to advise to contact the dealer to verify what condition the tires are supposed to be at upon return. I was stoked on that information and completely didn't even cross my mind. Called to get a quote from this store and made an appointment to have them installed on a different day. All of my information was in their system so when I came to the store to have them installed today, the gentleman helping me had no problem finding the information regarding the tires and pricing I was quoted. (This was not the person I spoke to on the phone previously) The first thing that is bothersome to me is that he tried to upsell me to more expensive tires instead of the tires that I chose based on his co-workers recommendation. He said that the ones I had chosen weren't quality tires. I hate being made to feel guilty for not choosing a premium product. Furthermore, if another one of the employees recommended it, and it was priced out and already on a ticket, why would you plant doubt in my mind about a decision that was already made unless you were trying to make another buck? They lose another star for the condition my car was when they were finished and returned it to me. Every time I come in they treat their customers like family and seem to truly care about the well-being of their customers. I came in for a check on my air pressure because I noticed that they kept getting low and I knew my tires were getting old so I wanted a checkup Tristan was amazing I hope I spelled his name correctly and he looked at my tires he had a device to show me what he was looking at and it was obvious that the tires I was driving on we're extremely dangerous... When I went inside I was assisted by Mike I am pretty sure I've seen him a few times in the past when I come into the facility and he always treats myself like family and is very kind as I was sitting in the parking lot he even came out to make sure that I was reminded how frequently I need to get my tires rotated and check the pressure of the tires which was very helpful he did not need to do that. So essentially what I'm getting at is of all of the name brand tire spots I highly recommend the discount tire in Vista the one on service place, not the one one Melrose. I went to this store to have tires rotated for a friend's vehicle. I like that they gave me an accurate estimate of how long I would have to wait. They said two cars were in front of me and it would likely take an hour and ten minutes. I was back on the road an hour and ten minutes just like they said! Very attentive and helpful during the whole process. I decide to bring my own vehicle here to purchase a tire (a nail on the outside edge meant out with the old and in with the new). I had a large nail embedded in my tire wall on the way home from jury duty and Junior and the team graciously squeezed me in for repair even though it was close to closing time. For those that don't know, if you get a nail in your tire wall, it cannot be repaired and must be replaced. Junior and the team quickly replaced my tire at no charge (since I have their absolutely fantastic warranty).
