Been coming here for years and all my vehicles have gotten tires replaced or repaired here.

I had a slow leak in a tire due to a nail. I purchased the tires at Costco but calls went unanswered until 8pm. I mentioned that I also had wheel locks but key was missing. Costco said they would not be able to repair. Next day I call Discount in Vista and spoke with Junior. He said they could remove the locks and repair the tire. I arrived at 10am and Adam at the service desk was helpful and said they could fix the tire and replace the lug nut in about 30 minutes. So I go to eat at a restaurant across the street and 30 minutes later I get a text saying they are done. Everyone is friendly there. This is what great customer service is about. I'll be returning there for my next set of tires. read more

Definitely a life saver of a company. More than once now I've wobbled in literally on a flat tire luckily they are nearby. Not very happy at all. Went in a few months back because there was a bulge in my tire. Asked for it to be replaced. Paid for the replacement and just found out that they simply turned the tire around so that I wouldn't see the bulge. I would have noticed it earlier but the tire in question was newer so I could not tell. On my way back from Tahoe a week ago I almost lost control of the car on a turn due to the wobbling of the tire on a down hill corner. Been doing short city drving so it never presented till then. I'm done with this company. My family's safety is important. Obviously it is not that important to this company. read more

Well, I have to confess that although we have been here a little more than a handful of times, this is my first time review. You know, when you are acknowledged by a employee once you walk into a business this could be a sign of good customer service. And that I have found here at this establishment, more than once. I'm going to throw out a name for the service I received today. Jose, gave great customer service today. I could have had him here at my last visit. I don't know, because each time I've been in, great customer service was given. So I commend all of the employees here, from the shop for the quick and quality of work put into my tire service for safe driving, to the non pressured, informative help inside of the sales room. They do offer cold water at no charge. There are plenty of chairs for you to take while you wait, or you could walk to near by places to eat. Waiting could be questionable, so if you don't have the patience to wait it's best to make an appointment. And if you are a walk-in and have to wait for a period of time, the staff is aware your time is valuable and will try their best to get you in and out. Very very troubled at the customer service after years of buying my tires from them. Picked up my car today with a huge compression dent over my front fender. When we brought this to the managers attention, he did nothing. No help whatsoever. I am SO upset as this is the best car I have ever owned and it is my baby! I have a call into corporate so hopefully they will make this right and I will change my review but at this point,I recommend NOT using them for your tire needs. I have been to Discount Tire several times for service, and they have always been terrific--the service has been fast and professional. Once when I needed an emergency repair they were a lifesaver--and charged nothing! So when I needed new tires I naturally went back to Discount Tire. I am sorry to say that I was less impressed with the sales experience than I had been with the service. I first went to their website to choose the tires. After comparing the available tires for my car, I chose a Yokohama and, as a backup, a tire from General. I went in to DT on a Monday morning and placed the order. I explained that I was riding on an emergency spare so needed to get replacement tires soon. I was told that the tires would be in the next day--or Wednesday at the latest. They promised to give me a call when they were in. Tuesday and Wednesday passed, and I heard nothing. Finally on Friday morning I called them. After a long hold I was told that they would check on the status of the order and get right back to me. Again, no one called. Near the end of the day Friday I again called them and this time was told the the Yokohama was not available and that only three of the Generals had come in. But then I was told that higher quality and more expensive Cooper tires were available and that they would give them to me for the same price because of the delays. I was told specifically that the Cooper would wear longer than the Generals or the Yokohamas. I agreed, and went in Saturday for the installation. Again, the service was excellent. They took me immediately, and I was in and out in forty minutes. But . . . When I arrived home I looked at my invoice and discovered that they had sold me an $80 special warranty certificate that I had not requested and which was not discussed with me. It was probably listed somewhere in the paperwork, but an item of that cost should have been clearly described and discussed. Worse, when I checked the rating of the Cooper tires on the website, the tread rating was much lower than either the Yokohama's or the Generals--a flat contradiction of what I had been told. In addition, on Discount Tire's own site the Yokohama is rated "best" and the Cooper is rated "better." Since they were a big help when I needed them, I'll probably give them one more try when I need tires on my other car, but all in all this was a pretty disappointing experience. read more

The people at Discount Tire checked out the tire free of charge, then upon seeing the condition were going to order me a tire, but none were in stock. They stated they would call a place near by, pick up a tire and bring in. They got it all done in an hour. These guys are pros. Don't waste your time searching. Wow! So I noticed the low tire pressure light go on this morning so I swung by Discount tire since Siri told me it was the closest from my house. I came in to have my air checked in my tires since my light came on. I actually went to San Marcos's location first, but it was so chaotic there, like a zoo. And they were not very friendly and no one wanted to speak to me. So I came over here to Vista, and found it to be quite the opposite. Everyone here is smiling, very helpful and explained what my problem was. Josh helped me pick the right tires for my car and was very nice in explaining everything he recommended. I spoke with 2 other employees and they were equally as kind. I highly recommend coming to this Vista location for tires. I know if I need them for my other car, I'll be coming back here. read more

My husband stood waiting for over 25 minutes to see about having tires rotated. We wanted to make an appt., sorry not allowed. You have to come in, wait and take your chances. 3 hours before they could do it. He told my husband leave and go home and get another car. We live 18 miles away. They could have cared less. We have been going to this same shop for well over 10 years. We buy all our tires for our cars and our kids cars here. They lost us as customers today. There is absolutely no reason for no greeting or acknowledgement you are there for almost half an hour. Sad because this was our go to place for years. read more

These guys were amazing! I caught a nail in my tire on the way home last night. I called them at 8am, they had me in to look at it by 8:30am. Luckily, I only needed one replacement tire. They processed my paperwork, aired up my tire, and sent me to the other Vista location off of Melrose. Melrose had the tire and the staff to replace it, whereas this location didn't. I got to Melrose, they were expecting me, they took my key and drove my car straight into a bay. I was done, between both locations by 10:15am and able to get back home with plenty of time to get ready for work. They understood that my time was limited and cared enough to accommodate me when I was desperate to get this done as quickly as possible. This also happened 9 months ago and they were there for me, and took care of me then as well. I learned my lesson and purchased the road hazard coverage on all of my tires today. These guys know what the customer needs and they were extremely helpful! I will always go back to Discount tire whenever I have an issue. read more

I went to get an air check. This really helpful employee named Zack helped me with that. He looked at the problem tire and found a big ol nail in it. I went inside fully prepared to buy a new tire. I was helped by Mark who told me it would take 2ish hours to fix the tire. I decided to wait but later changed my mind and asked they text me which they were happy to do when my car was ready. They called me to tell me the tire was irreparable. Mark told me they had a used tire they could put on my car. I asked how much that would be. They said they would not charge me! He could have easily sold me an expensive tire but he preferred to provide good customer service. I will definitely be coming back here to purchase tires for my car. read more

I cannot begin to praise the service and kindness enough, I received at Discount Tire on Monday, June 13th. I had a flat tire, in my driveway. The driver's side rear tire had a wood screw in the side of it. AAA came out to change the tire for me. I was so grateful that I had been talked into replacing the donut spare a few years ago when I had my tires rotated at Discount Tire. I took the flat to Discount Tire and was told it was beyond repair, Juan the service manager had my best interests at heart and I truly felt that way. Long and short, I ended up replacing all 4 tires. Since my tires were still under warranty, I got a free tire for the flat one and only paid for 3, at an extremely reasonable price. I had to go back on Monday night to have the new tires put on, after work. They told me the time frame and totally lived up to it. Oscar, kept me advised about the progress. BTW, he is so cute. Went in to get 4 new tires cuz the two front tires were bald and the rear were not too much better. The front man at the front desk was very helpful and knowledgeable and assisted me in choosing the right tires for my vehicle. After we selected the tires I wanted and I swiped my card I was informed that it would be about an hour wait, which was totally understandable seeing as they were very busy. Now to the real reason I'm writing this review!! After they pulled my car out and I was handed the keys I got in and started driving away when I noticed the tpms sensor light was on indicating low tire pressure. So I pulled back in and when I got out the the tech I got the keys from came out to inform me that with my model of vehicle that it would take a few minutes to go off and if it didn't bring it back and he could manually turn it off. So I waited for that to happen but when I got home it was indicating 15 psi in the left rear all the other tires indicated 36 psi!! That's a 21 psi difference!!! Now I have the tools at home to fill my tires at home so not that big of a deal for me. EXCEPT I JUST SPENT $1100 on brand new tires and would have expected something like that to have been caught! That's a safety issue to me!!! read more

From my first car until now I've never really had problems with my tires, so I don't really know how to buy them, and I certainly don't know how to tell when a tire that has a nail in it is safe or not. Luckily my jobs onsite mechanic found the nail and even more lucky these guys were able to get me in quickly. Within hours of the mechanic finding the nail, and airing up the tire, and me driving back up from Chula Vista, these guys were able to squeeze me in. They never tried to upsell me, and they even offered to rotate my tires for free. They educated me, and made my car safe to drive again without fear of a blow out. It shows the integrity of a company who is willing to stand by tires I purchased about a year ago, and just help someone who needs it. The phone trimmed off the Chula... and I also ordered unusual tires which came from Colorado. This shop sorted out my mess, handled it all, so professional. Lesser stores would have given up! This is a great service. 5 years and counting with Discount tire. The wrench crew at my branch are immense, fast and efficient. You can't beat this mom and pop style corporate mashup. Most businesses give average to good service u nothing to write about, but I have to say, I was impressed with the customer service I received at the Discount Tire location in Vista. I had a slow leak in my tire and their website appt schedule said they didn't have availability until the following day. I called directly and they said they would be happy to help. Not only were they able to find the source of the leak and patch it within 20 minutes, but the tech also came out on two occasions to give me an update. I have never had this kind of customer service from a tire company and definitely not the Discount Tire in Solana Beach but I watched the staff's interaction with other customers and could see this was a common procedure. Was sold H (Highway) tires when they were instructed to follow owners manual.. should have been All Terrain in 4 wheel drive Toyota Tacoma To get Cmas tree - slipping all over icy road over ravine while all other trucks handled just fine.. could have been fatal for us but goal must have been "sell tires today vs order them and do what's right" !!!!!We've moved but not going to replace at Discount Tire doing that at Big O!!! read more

BEST PLACE EVER. Seriously, I will never ever go anywhere else unless I'm stranded on the side of the road in some other state. This place is amazing. Their customer service is impeccable. They are truly service with a smile. All of my friends love Discount Tire, and now I understand why. I was helped by Melissa when I first got there, and she is the sweetest, most efficient person ever. I love her, she's wonderful. She explained everything to me, and got me a great set of tires with a nice warranty. I had a bit of a situation where another tire place made some mistakes involving keeping my tire and rim after they put on my spare the week before (they didn't have my tires in stock there). I didn't realize, and it wasn't sounding like they were going to find and return it. Mike, the assistant manager, promptly and with great sincerity offered to replace it for me--yes, he offered to fix another company's mistake. AMAZING. Melissa even offered to call over there for me. Fortunately, I was able to recover the rim, but Mike's offer was pretty much the deal sealer on me loving them forever. How nice is that??? He also said that when I came in the next day, he'd bump my car to the front so I didn't have to wait again. Sooo nice. When I came in the next day, they both were there, remembered me, and Melissa went and took care of my car right away and said she wanted to get it done fast because she liked me. Seriously??? She's so great!!! It was done super fast, and they were both super kind, even listened to me grumble about the other place for a bit.
