Brandon and Dale really helped me with getting new tires and helping me understand everything with my car.

I usually get good service from them and the tires are affordable, so I keep going back. But recently, I was told by a different repair shop that my tires were beginning to separate, so I took my vehicle to Discount Tire because I had a warranty on the tires that was going to expire soon. They told me there was nothing wrong with the tires. Fast forward a few weeks later, and we were about to go on a road trip, and my husband decided to replace the same tires because the tread was getting thin. At that time, the employee at Discount Tire told us the tires were separating. Our warranty was expired. Seems like Discount Tire just didn't want to honor a warranty that was close to expiring. We could've had an accident on the highway because of their dishonesty and stinginess. read more

Managers take note: Quality before quantity and follow up on training. I dropped off a tire that had a slow leak and needed a patch/plug. Although I was told it would be ready before the store closed for the day I opted to leave it there and would pick it up the following day, and that's what I did. Picked it up the following day, took it home, mounted it on my truck and drove it to work. On my way to work I noticed an unfamiliar vibration coming from the corner of the vehicle where my newly repaired tire resides. No question about it, the tire is out of balance. I know this because I myself used to be a tire tech, then an ASE certificated auto mechanic, and currently the proud holder of A&P certificates for aircraft maintenance! Still, not too big of a deal, just inconvenient. Now, I have to swap vehicles and make time to go back to town to have what should have been done right the first time corrected. A couple days later I pull the tire, take it back to the same store and drop it off. This where James comes in, he looks over the tire briefly and without any argument, demeaning comments, cross looks or bogus excuses, tells me "We'll make it right and take care of it immediately." And he did! I had a call, from James, telling me it was ready within an hour. I go back to the store. James is busy, so I go in the lobby where Elise helps me out. He retrieves my tire and hands it over to me. I learned my lesson the last time I had a tire here, reached down to make sure that the static weights were secured. To Elise's amazement, 1.5oz of weights pulled right up! They weren't stuck to the dirty wheel that the previous tech failed to clean prior to applying the adhesive styles wheel weights. Elise, clearly surprised took the tire without hesitation, threw it on a balancing machine and balanced it himself. I know to check the weights because the last time I had a repair done at this store, the entire strip of weights departed the wheel at the beginning of my trip across the country with my son. Couldn't take it back because it wasn't just Sunday, it was also in the opposite direction that I needed to go even if the store was open. Instead I turned it into a learning opportunity for my son on how to change a tire "safely" on the side of a busy highway. I was totally prepared to write a scathing review and never go back, but James and Elise made it right. I have been go to Discount Tires for what seems like forever. I only ever go to Discount Tire. I want this to be the store I always go to. The potential is there. I don't mind paying or waiting for Quality service than is done right the first time. I have a vehicle that is going to need a set of tires in the not-so-distant future. I've not bought tires here yet, we'll see if they can earn my business or if I will be going to one of the sister stores. Expect another review when that time comes. read more

Awesome store. Very polite and friendly. They are very quick if you order and buy your tires online and make a appointment. I was in and out in about 40 minutes after having all 4 tires replaced. Best tire store I've ever been to and I've been to a few in my lifetime! read more

I have used them at least 3-4 times in last 18 months. New/repaired tires or tire parts they have never dissatisfied us for price and service on almost all occasions. The wait can be difficult but that is because of popularity and service. Good thing is they are national as well and warranties are honored all over. read more

Awesome business. Great service. On a Saturday, had a tire badly punctured/destroyed. Was scheduled to leave on a long trip Sunday. While changing the tire on the highway, I called Discount Tire. I wasn't going to make it to the store before closing. The manager kept the store open until I arrived. I was in and out in 30 minutes with 4 new tires (needed a new set anyway). On 15 December, I called Discount tire to make sure they had tires for my '06 Civic Si. Though it took some time to get my car in (the place was extremely busy!), I was greeted in a friendly manner and was given many choices, i.e tires, flat guarantees, etc. Once my car got in the bay it didn't take long at all. One of the techs brought one of my tires in and explained some unusual wear, in a manner that even I could understand (I'm an IT guy, not a gearhead). This is one of the many reasons I will go to this shop. Friendly, knowledgeable personnel, good selection of product, and the website works very well (product availability, appointment schedule,etc). I will go to this Discount Tire shop, even if I would find a somewhat better deal. They've been that good to me. read more

I had a good experience with this company. I bought my new tires last year. I recently needed a tire repaired because I had ran over a nail. I took it to them and they repaired it at no cost along with balancing my tires. I drove it about a week after that and my tire pressure light popped on. I decided to take it back-again to find out that I had ran over another nail but a different tire--again they fixed it at no cost. I had a wonderful experience at Discount Tire in Waco. They open at 8 and I was sure to get there to be the first in line about 30 minutes prior. It seems this is a very busy location, so expect to be in some sort of line/wait regardless. Patience is a virtue people. However, the assistant manager Dale helped me when I noticed a leak in my tire, and he along with the team got me in and out within 20 minutes. Turns out there was a screw in my tire and they plugged it for free as well as aired and checked the others at no cost. As a college student, I was really dreading the thought of having to pay a rediculous price for a plug or just for them to check. I was even done in time to make it to the last half of my 8 am class. I've never been treated better at an auto place, and will definitely be returning here next time I have any tire issues. I needed to have my tires rotated and one tire needed more air. Waited 2 hours car still not in. Watched this place full up with people and empty out. I asked, "When will you be able to get to my car?" To my surprise I was told that I'm 6th in line. WHAT?? How is it that I watch people come in and sign in their car after me and watch them leave. I was passing through Waco today and had a flat. Discount Tire had a version of my tire but not quite the right one. Dale called at least 8 other shops to try to find the one I needed but no one in Waco had it. He then called Audi to see what other tire we might use so that I could get back home. I have been doing business with Discount Tire Store on West Waco, Dr. since they opened up. And have had a few minor problems with them. The new Federal Law several year ago about 'not' being able to buy 2 new tires. It was resolved(after calling the District Mgr. in Plano, Tex.). They gave me 2 tires, if I would buy 2 more tires. Then I traded my older Dodge Van for a newer model, called to see if they would continue to rotate/balance the 4 tires/wheels, which they said 'Yes',, just bring it in. So my wife took it in(after making an appointment), They rotated the 4 but did 'not' balance them. And my wife's Brother passed away in New Mexico, so we had to make a 2,000 mile trip. The lack of balancing nearly made us crazy!! Then we make it back home. My wife takes the van back(also after making an appointment), they then say;'['Oh'', you did 'not' buy these tires here'')So they charged my wife $10.00 'EACH'[$40.00] to balance them. So, after I got 'very' upset, with some heated argument on my part,the Store Mgr. resolved to return my $40.00. So this will resolve my problem for a while? HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! read more
