After hearing about bad experiences from friends, I recently had my own. I went to two different places -- one for an oil change and one for a tire rotation -- and both asked who had serviced my car last. The answer was Bell Tire. My oil had been overfilled by 2 quarts, which can cause serious damage. On top of that, my locking lug nuts were tightened so tight that a tire shop couldn't remove them -- I had to go to a mechanic. The mechanic even said an inexperienced person must have been working on my car, and that locking lugs should not be tightened as much as regular ones. What worries me most is that if I had a roadside emergency, I wouldn't have been able to change my own tire. Between my experience and others I've heard about, I no longer recommend this location. Thankfully, Roadrunner Oil Change, Warehouse Tire, and Mo-Tech Automotive fixed the issues, $100 later!

We took it in and after telling us they can't fix it, they returned it with a check engine light on. This light was not on when we parked the car. They refused to fix it or even fully diagnose it without charging us more money. If the light was on when we dropped it off we would have asked about it but we didn't because it wasn't. They never mentioned the light to us at all until we got the car back, saw it and asked about it, and they said 60% of cars they see have lights on so they don't always say something. It's a mechanic shop! Why wouldn't you tell people what is wrong with their car and offer to fix it? Isn't that solely what you do? Also 60% of cars seems crazy high.. It feels like they were just hoping we wouldn't notice. We took the car in with one issue and got it back with two. What a horrible experience. From now on I guess I'll have to take a video of the dash and car with a time stamp so i have concrete proof of how it went in. That's crazy that i should have to do that.
