There is no adjustment here without spending 225$ for x-ray . I'm suffering from neck pain and after reading some reviews I decided to visit , unfortunately that's not like other chiropractics and they won't help you without X-ray. First 30 minutes was to scare me about what will happen in the future if I don't visit chiropractic often and then he asked me straight away if I want x-ray today or Monday. I'm Giving 2 starts because the appointments booking system they have works good and fast . Please be more transparent with new customers and explain them that you don't giving any service without x-ray . I went to Dr. Fisher for sciatica. After 6 treatments, I am virtually pain free. As an aside, I thought my hands were getting weaker, trouble opening twist off caps. Thought it was because of age. After treatment, I can open twist off caps with no problem at all. Taking that foil piece off a milk container was almost impossible. Now I can open everything with no problem. After reading all the good reviews, I had my hopes up that I would be able to receive the awesome treatment that everyone here wrote about. I made an appointment with Brianna over email for my stiff neck and shoulders. I gotta say, Brianna was responsive over email, so that's 1 good thing. When I got to my appointment, after filling out the forms and watching the video about how this place does chiropractic, I met with Dr. Fisher. He was friendly and explained how he does chiropractic (takes x-rays, recommends a treatment plan based on that, etc). He also asked me about where I was feeling pain, etc. However, after he checked that his services would be out-of-network for my insurance plan, he proceeded to tell me how to find an in-network chiropractor instead and that he understood that we "live in the bay area" (implying the high cost of living). Before I even got a chance to ask how much the cost would be, even though out of network, he stood up and extended his hand to tell me it had been nice to meet me...I took that as a cue to leave so he walked me out. It was nice that he told me how to find an in-network chiropractor, but I would've appreciated being ASKED whether I would still want to be treated here, despite the out-of-network status. I already knew how to find an in-network provider as I have done so many times in the 10+ years that I have had insurance but I didn't want to be rude to him while he was explaining that to me. I have gone to out-of-network chiropractors and doctors before if I saw they had great reviews. Usually they would ask me first if I still wanted to be treated even though they're out of network for my insurance. I would've still liked to be treated here too as I would be able to afford the cost (I knew about the $107 special they're having as Dr. Hans had told me over yelp message) but I didn't feel wanted, so I am taking my business elsewhere. I am sure the intention was good but it seemed like maybe there was an assumption that I wouldn't be able to afford the treatment without being in-network. Called after conducting a search on Yelp just to see if ANY chiropratic offices were open and this one was. I called this morning and was in the office within 20 minutes for my first evaluation. Unfortunately I had the exact same experience as one of the other reviewers. I was excited to come here from the great reviews of people that were treated here. I booked an appointment and knew that it would be out of network and I was fine with that. I talked to Dr Fisher for about 30 mins and he left to check the insurance and came back and explained the billing process and he went on to say we live in the Bay Area and things are expensive and he told me how to find an in network provider and stood up and said goodbye. I said that I would like to go ahead and pay the $107 online special and get started with an adjustment as I am in pain and need some relief. He said no and told me to go to the Joint. Maybe I should have been more clear and said that I am fine paying out of pocket moving forward but I wasn't given the opportunity. I was literally stunned as I have never had a business tell me they don't want my money. When I made the appointment over the phone she explained the process and said the doctor would give a consultation and then x-rays and an adjustment for $107 and then he would develop a plan for moving forward. She explained the insurance and billing and I booked the appointment knowing it was out of network. I went back to ask for my paperwork as I didn't see why it's necessary they have my insurance information and file on me and the Doctor did apologize for assuming I would want the in network and said that since it's Bay Area and I have 2 kids he thought I wouldn't want to pay. He was kind, but he shouldn't assume. They did insist on keeping my paperwork/file, even though I wasn't treated. Dr Fisher explained why in his nice way, but I still find it curious. Diane in the front is a delightful woman to speak to for your appointment needs. I really admire how they have designated insurance staff member who looks into your plan and explains what services will be covered etc. This is extremely helpful because the chiropractor is able to assess your condition and provide a plan of care along with expenses. All of this is discussed when the chiropractor shares his findings on your condition. I had the pleasure to work with Dr. Paul Fisher. He was thorough both in answering questions and the casualty of your condition. I probably went pass an hour during my evaluation because I had a lot of questions, but he did not rush me.
