I am a nail tech who needed to find someone to do my left hand. I usually just do plain, extra long nails and since I do my right hand to perfection I'm very picky about who touches my left hand. I call Kristy and she was already very helpful and nice on the phone. I made an appointment for the following day. Come in. We talk more about nails and nail designs, then we get down to business and she has these special tips I use on my right hand which is a plus. She shapes them beautifully and goes back to add extra thickness to the acrylic since I like mine extra thick. I can tell she loves what she does! To top it all off my left hand is BEAUTIFUL!!! Kristy knows what she is doing. I am terrified of letting people do my left hand because of how long I like my nails. As I nail tech I know nails this length are not easy. I went in for the first time here and it wasn't a great experience. I wanted a gel pedicure and gel dip for my nails I was there for almost 3 hours. They got started w/ my pedicure and I had to wait like 30ish min after I sat down. The lady that did my toes was very nice. But then once I was done they only had 2 ladies doing manicures. I ended up getting Kristy which I'm just is the owner of the salon. She saw I was finishing up my pedicure and sat down some girl that came after me instead of waiting 3 min for me to be done. At that point I had been at the salon for 1.5 hours . I got so upset you could see it all over my face. She looked at me and said I'll be with you in 20-30 min. Not only did she rush through helping me, but she did a crappy job doing my nails. I got a yellow color that needed 3 coats, she only did 2. My nails look all patchy and she went up too far where it's actually touching my cuticle so it doesn't look good. Won't be coming back here again! Very disappointed. Update: barely 2 weeks later and my nails and not starting to lift. On not jut one nail but multiple. Plus the owner is very unprofessional and didn't even offer to fix it, instead messaged me to scold me for writing this review. The pictures themselves show you her work. This was my first visit here and I'm definitely coming back. It's so hard to find a nail shop that does great quality work and is time efficient. I've been to places where the work was very good but took close to 2-2 1/2 hours. My appointment was at 3 and Nancy finished my nails around 4:15. I've had powder once before and it took way too long and the quality was poor. But, today I am very happy with the result. The shop is beautiful and very organized. The price was reasonable as well. I went on Thursday December 5 to get a dip powder for the first time, and it was HORRIBLE the lady hurried me through the process and at the end she didn't even let me put my hands in the gel machine for too long. She made to uncomfortable and even made me place both of the my hands on top of the other and that ended messing up my end result. At a point she even hurt my hand for being too aggressive. It's so pretty and organized I love how they have every nail polish color and they have it so neatly framed. I got my nails and eyelashes extensions done for such an amazing price and the quality is unbelievable for being so cheap. So far Diva Nails is the worst salon I have ever been to. I read through the reviews and I observed that other customers have had their fingers cut and were bleeding after they've left the salon too! I came in for a new gel acrylic set and gel pedicure to have my big toe nearly stabbed by a nail clipper. Nancy who did my new gel manicure acrylic set was being very rude and being very rough with handling my hands. When she was filing down the acrylic there were chunks of acrylic flying everywhere!! Into my hair & hitting me in the face... When it came down to taking off my acrylic nail I told her it was starting to hurt and she just yanks it off my finger AND THEN DECIDES TO SOAK MY FINGERS IN ACETONE. The flesh in my nail bed stung so much when I left! Seriously, who hired this woman? She was talking a lot about me in Vietnamese expecting me to not notice it. Such unprofessional service!!! And towards the end of the manicure she looks at me and says "I had to move your finger around to have the gel polish even out." LOL WHAT? Woman, you yanked my fingers around! I felt mistreated SUPER mistreated when I left.... IF ANYTHING, I FELT LIKE I WAS GETTING SURGERY ON MY HANDS. I don't see why anyone would continue coming here. The staff are super nice and friendly. I used to drive 30min to my favorite salon in Costa Mesa but I think I'm going to come here from now on. SNS - $35.00 - they use colored powder unlike Nailology on Brookhurst. I liked the quality but she overdid it w/ the coffin filing. Gel pedi - $25.00 - she took her time making sure my nails were filed evenly and massage was great. Total was $60 (w/out tip). I paid $80 (w/out tip) at the Costa Mesa salon. ***Update - Not planning on returning here (maybe for only pedis) The woman who did my nails was leaving the nail electric buffer on TOO LONG and would burn my nail beds. There were a couple of times I had to pull my hand away. Also, they stopped using the colored dip powders - they use a transparent powder and top it w/ gel coat. After a week, my nails were chipping. From my experience, with colored dip powders, there aren't any chips or cracks which is why I fork out more $$ for it. read more

It's a hit and miss with the nail techs some of them did an awesome job but the last few times they did not which was very frustrating considering how much I paid. NAIL QUALITY IS AWFUL HERE!!!! Save your time and money . I made an appointment with the owner kristy and I spent $60 dollars for a full set of good looking acrylics which I thought to myself that's a lot but the quality must be good so I'm willing to pay but, I noticed she was buffing the acrylics so thin that I saw one started cracking from the side and asked her to fix it. She fixed it but then I noticed others that were also cracked on the side she told me not to worry it only looks cracked because the color nude I chose was see through and so light. It only looks cracked but it's just my natural nail you can see underneath. I said ok it will be fine but I should of listened to my gut because not even 24 hours after leaving the salon one nail tip popped right off on the side where I saw it cracking then all of them cracked and popped right off as you can see in the pictures! Kristy the owner didn't even offer to refund my money because I guess she only cares about the money and will not refund me. Terrible quality and terrible customer service!!! read more

This place is convienent for me from my house. I've gone a couple times now. Twice now I got the "matte" gel, and both times the product has chipped off by the next day and looks lumpy. I was hoping they had gotten a new product by now but I guess not. Otherwise it's a nice little spot and the girls I've had have been very friendly. The staff was very unprofessional i had been here 11 days ago my child got a pedicure now she has a ingrown toe nail he very first one ever I came to have them take out toe nail not in no bad way towards the business they tell me. She has infection so I ask to adress the matter with the manager becauSe my pedicure was not properly done this time the staff did half the stuff stated on the pedicure pack I choose Including not helping me even place my sandals back on. I went on a Friday for a dip manicure with a tip added for length. By Sunday one of my nails had already cracked, mind you I don't work with anything that could cause them to break THAT quickly. By Monday 6 out of 10 nails had started to lift. And by Wednesday they were all lifting and just looking horrible. By Thursday I took them off myself. Save your money and go somewhere else, it's ridiculous that a set of fresh nails last LESS THAN A WEEK. When I called to get an appointment to get them fixed I was told I needed to call that same day to see if they had time...I work two jobs, Isn't the whole point of calling and making an appointment is for them to work around MY schedule and not me around there's?? By the end of it I was going to need a whole new set but if the first one didn't even last what was the point of getting a new one. All around very unhappy and basically threw away my money. Will not ever be returning and suggest to everyone to find somewhere else. read more

I am torn about this place because the lady that did my nails did such a beautiful job (oval shaped ombré) and apologized a lot but she did file down too hard on my hands and three of my fingers have deep cuts from the nail file. It hurt a lot when she was doing it she said to tell her to stop when it hurt and I did but it still went very deep. She apologized numerous times and then the owner Kristy was very nice and asked me if I liked my nails which I do. I am at home now and my fingers STING. I soaked them in peroxide and put neosporin to prevent infection but they hurt so much. Don't know whether to go back because they do a great job but I am scared I'm gonna get cut again! read more

So disappointed with my visit. Have been multiple times and have referred multiple people. The staff was rude when i was trying at ask questions upon choosing a color. Had no swatches for new dip colors and so i had no idea that color i chose was going to be 3x darker than the appearance in the container. ( no one informed me either) The lady doing my pedicure was extremely rough and never checked the water before putting it on my skin cause it to be extremely hot.
