If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I tried it out shortly after they opened and mid-pedi noticed that no one was sanitizing their tools or the pedicure basins. A week later I broke out in scabies on both feet. My daughter caught them from me too. Almost a year later and I finally got the courage to get a pedicure again from a hygienic spa. I recently came here for a basic pedicure. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the salon. The pedicure chairs/tubs were clean & looked new. I've had such a hard time finding a nail salon in arlington that looks new/clean so this establishment really impressed me. I've been to this salon twice now. The first time I thought the place was so fancy n very clean(which I still do) I never thought it would be that expensive. I only got a pedi and a mani, I was charged $60 even. which is totally crazy to me. I paid for it n got it over with. The second time I went. I only got a pedi. I play soccer so I had an accident n my big toe nail was chipped so I asked the lady if she could even it with some acrylic or something. she started talking her language n then some other two ladies came n saw my toe (which was just awkward) I have no clue what they were saying but I thought that was rude. finally a lady that was in the back came n applied the acrylic to even my nail. she did a good job but I asked her to make it look like a real nail but she didn't. what blew my mind was that this time I had to pay $56 JUST FOR A PEDI! WAY TOO ROUGH! It's time to find a new spot for mani/pedis. I live in the area so it I have been going there since they opened. A few months ago I started to notice that the service and quality were declining. The majority of the women who work here are completely disinterested in the customer. They even answer their cell phones and have full conversations when they are with customers. Last time I went my nails were filed/buffed until they were paper thin and the cuticles were bleeding. The two star rating indicates "I've experienced better" per Yelp. That is fitting. After many visits over the last 18 months, I will not be returning. I've had some good experiences here but it really depends on your technician and at this point, the mediocre/shoddy experiences outweigh the good. I went here to have my gel manicure taken off and it has been almost 24 hours and my nails so are incredibly sore; I actually have a bruise developing on my one pinkie nail. On top of this, the cost was double my regular salon to get the polish removed! The salon was pretty and clean but it doesn't make up for the sore nails and extra cost. The first time I went in for a full set of pink and white the tech did an excellent job. Today I went in for a fill and first the tech did my nails using the wrong liquid which refused to set so she had to start over. After using the right liquid, I now have ugly, prominent rings of fire on my nails and acrylics with a somewhat lumpy look. read more

I apologize for the lengthy review but please read and beware. I've been coming to this place for a while. I followed my lady to Divine Nails after she left my former regular spot. She is now on maternity leave so I found an alternate in anticipation. A few weeks ago, the back-up gal wasn't available. So I went w whomever was open. BIG mistake! My nails within a week started to chip and the acrylic began to peel off. So weird bc I have had pink and white with gel color for a very long time. When the nail tech took the acrylic off there was "mold" I told her are you sure this isn't fungus. And she said no, it's just a spot, so it's mold. Well why is there mold? Because the nail tech didn't let things dry enough and air got in between. So I had 4 fingers w mold??....I took the acrylics off and didn't have them replaced. As I was leaving I saw the owner, and mentioned to her what had happened. She seemed unfazed. Asked me what was the problem. I was so mad. I told her I was telling her to make her aware. She said oh but you are so and so's client right. What does that have to do with anything? It shouldn't matter if your regular person is in or not, the service you receive should never be sub par resulting in fungus. I looked it up. Humans aren't able to carry mold, this was fungus on my nails all because of their carelessness. read more

Although they are slightly more expensive than other nail salons I really like going here because my shellac manicures actually last. I can usually make it 3 weeks with a manicure from here. They also have a big selection of nail colors and everything is very clean and peaceful. They don't make you feel rushed. read more

I went in for the first time last week for a gel manicure and my manicurist was Lee. She did a great job we made small talk and I was pleased when I left. I normally go to a nail salon on Wilson but glebe was much closer to my home and the price was only three dollars increase so I will be returning to try the pedicure and also waxing services. I usually go to this place when I am in a hurry, since it is right around the corner from my house. But most recently, they have went up on their prices (which were already high). For a gel manicure and a regular pedicure, it was $67! Not only is that price outrageous, but the service doesn't match up with that price point. If I am going to pay over $70 (price plus tip) for your service, then your customer service should be amazing. Often times I feel that I am rushed when I go in and the gel sometimes chips and doesn't last the full 2 weeks. So I am on a search to find a cheaper, and better service oriented salon. read more

First visit, had a gel manicure and regular pedicure with Nicki. She did an excellent job and gave a great leg massage. She went to great lengths to find the matching polish for toes. She also encouraged me to sample the polish - we tried 4 colors. Like that they use the sealed sterilized kits of instruments. They play a loop of calm background music. I love how clean and nicely decorated this place is. They do an excellent job with gel nails making sure to leave enough time in between coats to let the polish set. I have never had a bad experience. It is a little pricey but worth the experience. read more

The first several experiences I had with Divine Nails were good. The last two (including the one I'm getting now) - SUCKED! The people there barely want to work to get your feet smooth or to massage your feet and legs. They prefer to just lightly scrub your heels and then try to "up sell" you on the more expensive callous remover. I have a desk job and take care of my feet so that is a rip off. Even when I have had the callous remover treatment, I had to go home and scrub my heels again. When I pointed out that I was nkt satisfied with the amount of time or effort she put in, she sighed loudly then began speaking in another language to her colleague (the same colleague who cut me last time). I'm not giving them another chance. You either walk out with rough feet or cut feet. Not worth the money or time. read more

I was overdue for a pedicure and went here based on a friends recommendation. I made an appointment for when they opened. I don't think it was even needed. It was the quickest massage & pumice scrub I have ever gotten. It felt like they were trying to go fast and get ready for the next one. I've been to Divine Nail Spa a few times to get waxing as it is quick and easy. They do not always do a perfect job, but it gets done. However, I went on Saturday to get waxing before an event I had on Sunday. Unfortunately, after the waxing, I was burned in 4 different spots on my lip making it hard to open my mouth. The last few times I have gone here I have left saying never again. After my experience yesterday I will NOT be returning. It is a shame, there are some good nail techs but also some awful ones. On a whim I decided to get a pedicure yesterday because my feet were sore from running, what a waste of money. I just left this place and realized why I hadn't returned after my first and only trip here around this time last year. It's convenient because it's located close to my home with Starbucks right next door, but the results are sub-par. I got a regular mani and pedi combo. My feet and cuticles look dry and and callused from the barely used pumice stone (all of three or four swipes) and lack of moisturizing. The polish jobs of both my mani and pedi are unprofessional, thick, and have visible demarcations from the brush strokes. They don't even have enamel spray for a sleek finish to your nails. Plus, the shop owner is dismissive and doesn't really appear to care about quality, just that you have paid. There was no "Have a good day" or "Hope to see you soon"... nothing... as I left. I tipped the lady who serviced me today only because she was pregnant and seemed to be a genuinely nice person. Save your money ($50). Go elsewhere (anywhere). Even an unsatisfactory experience at your regular provider would be better than this place. Hence, I should have gone to my regular location and not wasted my money and time coming here. It has been more than 2 weeks ago since I had my gel manicure done here and it's still looks fabulous! This place is exceptionally clean and the atmosphere is sooooo relax unlike any other nail salon that I had visited. Above all, the tools that were used on me were sterilized and bagged simiar to that of the hospital. read more
