Came in because I was looking for a salon that did dip powder locally. Was bummed to see that the selection was very limited, and the technician didn't know how to do french using the dip powder, so I had to get gel over dip (which she discounted $7 but still ended up being quite expensive). Especially expensive since it chipped in a few places within 3 days. My pedicure was fantastic and comparable to other salons, I appreciate that they took time to make sure everything was good! It would have been nice to at least get my money back. But thanks for finally replying to me! _______ I was looking for a nail salon close to home and this place seemed perfect. I came twice with a couple girlfriends but didn't love the service either one of those times. Quality was poor and I got cut the second time. Both appointments seemed rushed and I feel like it wasn't worth the money. On my first visit, the manicurist spent a lot of time getting the gel on nicely. Once she saw my friend was almost done, she rushed on the glitter and didn't give a massage (my favorite part). She slapped on lotion and wiped it right off with a warm towel and sent me on my way. The second visit was worse. We made an appointment and were told to come in earlier if possible. We came in earlier but my friend got seated before me and I sat there next to here for almost 20 minutes before my manicurist showed up. She rushed on my gel, didn't ask what shape nails I wanted, and when she was done, she went over my nails with a file again and was rushing so much that the file cut open the skin between the side of my nail. I said, "ow!" and pulled away because it was a sharp pain. She filed in the area again right after and I let out another "ow." She looked at the nail after she was done with the rest and saw it was bleeding. I think she asked if it hurt and I said yes and she just turned away and finished cleaning up without saying sorry. When I got home, I noticed that the nails on my left hand were very squared off and short and that the nails on my right hand were long and rounded. How does that happen? I had to file them down myself because it was so uneven. Also, when you look in the sunlight, you can see how truly rushed the job was. It's extremely streaky. It's been less than a week and my thumbnail already cracked because of the poor job. It's probably the worst manicure I've ever received. I tried contacting the owner but since I am unable to come in this week due to work, I'm unable to get my money back even though they cut my finger (it was throbbing for a week and I was unable to shower or do the dishes without a burning sensation for about 3 days after). Dianne always gives me a beautiful gel manicure and pedicure every time I come and she never fails to surprise me. She has painted many designs for me and my favorite has been the cat eyes! Ask for her for pedicures because she's very good at massages and she pays attention to detail when it comes to the painting. My nails never chip until weeks after they've been done and the employees here are so kind. The salon is always clean and the interior always feels so luxurious. I got a manicure from Kim and she was absolutely phenomenal! I asked for natural/nude acrylic nails with a coffin shape. She made sure to accommodate to my requests and made me feel very comfortable throughout the entire process. Kim was very gentle and precise with drilling my nails which was great for my sensitive skin. Very professional and a great conversationalist! The employees are great. The manager is not. Yelp advertises a 15% off with yelp check in. There are no exclusions noted. When I went to pay, I was told it's only mon-wed. Which is not what's stated on yelp. They called the manager who told them to press check in on my phone. After "checking in" there is fine print that the offer is only mon-wed. This is misleading and instead of offering to honor what's on the actual Yelp website she wanted to go back & forth with me on the phone. Terrible service. read more

It's my third visit to Divine Nails and each day, my experience here just gets better and better! On my first visit, I got a gel manicure and the design was beautiful, but it wasn't quite what I had in mind. On my second visit, I got a gel pedicure and my pedicurist Kimmy was absolutely phenomenal. She gave me the exact color and design that I was looking for, and she pampered my feet and toes real nicely! And on my third and most recent visit, Lena gave me the prettiest gel manicure that I have ever gotten! I had a design and colors in mind, but she tweaked it up and gave me something even better. Their pricing is extremely fair, and the rates are similar to salons in Koreatown. Also, they are very accommodating on same-day appointments, so I have had no time making reservations a mere hour ahead. They also offer sports pedicures for guys, which is great for men who are tagging along with their girlfriends! They obviously won't manicure your toes but they'll clip, file, pamper, massage, and remove calluses so even your feet can look and feel brand spankin' new! They also have new massage chairs that are so relaxing, and it totally feels like a spa here. I have been to numerous other nail salons in SoCal and this is one of the few places that I will keep returning to. The selection of colors is nice but they apply the gel so badly, you will see it on your cuticles, UNDER your nail (common, how can you get it down there?), literally all over your skin;( they also did a very poor job on my cuticles, I asked to remove more skin here and there but it still looked messy. I have been on the hunt over the years to find a good place to get my nails done, since acrylic lifts usually in about a week or so (don't even get me started on gel or reg manicures). I am a cosmetologist myself and have even resorted to doing my own nails for a couple years bc I hated how people did my nails. Then I found Mimi at Divine Nails. She rocks! She gives me the shape I like, and they last about 2 weeks before I need a fill (amazing for me bc I am hard on nails). Update: on top of my review below, now- one week later, three of my nails chipped dramatically. Talk about insult to injury..... If I were a business owner, and my credit card processing capabilities were down, and I told my client this AFTER her service that she had to take out cash, and her bank is nowhere nearby, and the bank that is next door charges a $3 fee plus the $4 fee that her own bank charges for an ATM withdrawal from another bank, as a courtesy, I would take $7 off her bill. It is not the client's fault that the credit card thing is down at the nail salon. You should not require your customer to pay an extra $7 in fees for a cash withdrawal, when you are inconveniencing the client. Write it off as the cost of doing business. The services were good (for the most part) and I tipped the providers well, although there were a few other issues: 1) They did not put a toe separator between my toes and some of my color rubbed off on my skin. 2) No flip-flops. I had to walk to the back to the eyebrow room, without shoes, as my toes were still wet and I didn't want to put on my shoes yet. They just giggled and didn't offer an alternative. This doesn't seem super sanitary. 3) They were very harried when I walked in. I was the *only* one in the salon when they opened, and they seemed to be bothered that I came without an appointment. 4) I looked at the menu and saw that my pedicure was supposed to include a hot towel. It did not. That all said, I will not be returning. Even though my fingers look nice and my toes look pretty good (even though they are smudged a bit), I am dissatisfied with the salon in general. read more
