Now that's what I'm talking about…read more Shame on these people for having sooooooo many tempting cookies, donuts, pastries, etc. OMG! Yes, we tried a number of them. It wasn't pretty. Crumbles everywhere, more flakes than all of California, the smell of coffee and espresso being made, confections being baked. I'm sure that I gained an extra ounce or two with all the wonderful scents in the air. I noticed that they had some of the same confections that Firecreek Coffee had. Surprise, surprise! Same company. Duhh...just far more goodies to choose from. Very nice people. Excellent service.

One of the best bakeries that I've visited, everything I've tried is wonderful, I'm diabetic and…read moretheir pastries are just the right amt of sweet. I was very disappointed when I went in today, staff on duty ( man & woman) standing at counter on their phones... very unprofessional, especially when I had to clean off the table, (6) dirty tables and trash all around the front counter floor. Then the man brought out a hugh sandwich and was eating while taking care of customers... that's a big no no ! When I asked the girl who helped us if she could cut a muffin in half for us she said "oh there's plastic knives right there, whaaaaattt ? You can't even cut a muffin. Omg. I don't know if that's just how your Sunday staff roll but doesn't look good from customers point of view.... Hope there is a remedy, would be a shame to get negative "service" reviews for a great bakery.

Limited selection compared to bigger bakeries. But here's the thing. What they do have is exactly what you want. No filler, no wasted space, just a tight lineup of pastries that are actually worth buying. We've gone in more than once thinking, "Alright, one pastry each, quick stop." That plan never survives contact with the display case. You start pointing things out, adding one more, then another, and suddenly you're walking out with a full box. My go-to is the Bavarian cream pastry. It's perfect. Not overly sweet, not heavy, just balanced and done right. It's the kind of thing you finish and immediately think about grabbing another. The pricing almost feels like a mistake in your favor. On our last visit, we bought enough pastries for ten people, with extras left over, and it came out to just under $20. Back near our place in Rhode Island, that same box would easily be double. Probably more. Here, it feels like you're getting away with something. And then there's the service. The woman we usually see there is genuinely kind. Not forced, not transactional. Just warm, welcoming, and happy to see people walk in the door. It adds to the whole experience in a way that's hard to fake. This place doesn't try to impress you. It just quietly delivers every time you show up. If you're anywhere near Cottonwood, stop in. You'll go in for one thing and leave with more, and you won't regret it.
