Delicious! Had an awesome pesto grilled cheese and fresh baked pretzel with lemonade. My kids loved the crushed cookie cups.

Before my first visit, it had probably been ten years since I'd had meatloaf. Now this sandwich has changed the rules. It will knock your socks off. The bread is excellent, the flavors are rich and satisfying, and the whole thing tastes like comfort food done right. Great food, great beer, and my only complaint is that I wish they had a growler refill service. Good eating, nice friendly place.

Its located in what was a industrial/quieter section of Prescott, 5 min south of the courthouse. Small attached parking lot, but good chance that you will need to find neighborhood on street parking. I was there at prime hour Friday eve. Reservations are probably a good idea. It was just myself and a buddy, so we waited about an hour after we wait-listed our names at the door. Very busy for good reason. They have an outdoor bar and waiting area. Dogs are permitted on leash there, yay, but so is disgusting SMOKING. So be aware of that toxicity. Lots of cigars and cigarettes. Hard to avoid. Their servers are very cool and friendly. Dave took our order, offered advice, and also was able to light the outdoor tower heater next to our table. Brews and ciders were tasty. Chicken wings rock! Friend had a chicken sandwich that was stacked this high !!! Highly recommend this pub. Great overall feel...though they really need a designated smoking area...c'mon guys...its 2026. 2nd hand smoke kills and stinks. For this major drawback, it did not get 5 stars...

Everyone was so friendly, the regulars there drinking, the bartender/general managers, and other staff clearly have a lot of pride in the location, providing togetherness. I loved hearing the bartender tell others about that evening's music bingo- how it was created as something fun for the locals who they had always heard talking about or enjoying music, so they created a whole night for them- We also got the story of the randomness of the folded money in the wall stones- and what started as random became the community giving to charity through a fun bar secret means- Oh, and the wonderfulness of the team coming together to close down for a hard earned week of vacation- not just rotating schedules, but all relaxing together- the customer service, the management of it all, it really was a great model for micro craft brewery We had pints of Hop Deposits solid hops hazy hoppy Broken Pick pineapple juice flavor balanced Broadway -best golden I've had, perfect balance of roasty and of course Modern Miner- all untapped 5 stars; yup, we got the great beer we wanted- super sad we can't buy in MD- we'd have our fridge stocked regularly & music bingo would be our date night- cannot recommend enough- hubby even bought a hat to remember (though sadly TSA lost it moving our bags- and he says it's ok, but I know he's super bummed- that's the impact of happy times at this location)

We were seated right away in one of the high tops at the front of the restaurant by the windows. This is probably the best views of the entire courthouse square. There was great music playing. Note: We did not venture to the bar in the back but it appeared to be more busy than the front dining area. We ordered the West Coast Philly and BLT both with fries. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The Philly seemed a bit smaller than what we've had in most other places but it was good. The BLT had the usual plus avocado and a delicious aioli. It was very tasty. The fries were crispy and well-seasoned. Unfortunately, none of the food was hot. I am a stickler about this. If it's intended to be hot, it should be. The Philly and fries could have been a home run if they hadn't been cold. We shared our thoughts with the server who apologized and gave us a small discount. She indicated that she would tell the kitchen. I really hope they can pull it all together because they have the potential to earn five star reviews!

There is plenty of indoor seating, but the best seats are of course, outside where you can have your meal while gazing on the beauty of the lake and forest. There are plenty of seats outdoors with great views. Yes, we all know the lake level is (ahem) not as high as it should be, but it's still a great place to visit and have a meal. The food is fairly basic, but does have some German-inspired fare including dishes with Brats and for lunch/dinner, you can get schnitzel! You can also get beer to wash down your German food, so that's quite nice. The food was competent but not perfection. Again, it's about the location. The one ding I would point out is that the service is slow. I am talking 30-40 minutes to get your breakfast. They have limited staff so I suggest bringing a bag of patience and maybe some snacks if you are super hungry.

Three couples (unfortunately) ordered the same item - the Verde Valley Melt. Basically it's described as a sourdough bread turkey sandwich with parmesan fries. The best part of the plate was the fries. The first thing we noticed is that the bread looked and tasted like Wonder Bread. White as white can be. Not sourdough. Secondly, a Melt should come out as toasted with melted cheese. Hot and toasty it was not. The turkey portion was slim. A five year old kid wouldn't have been happy to have this weak sandwich. I hope this experience is a one off for the Belfry. If not, I expect this restaurant to disappear soon. That would be an unfortunate loss to downtown Cottonwood.
