Restaurant was very clean. Service was amazing! Food was good. Went for Cincinnati Chili Week and tried several of the specials. Love the cheese curds.

Better then Skyline only because they offer a variety of other dishes. Atmosphere is similar, small quaint diner that reminds me of Dennys. Chili reminded of Skyline, not better and not worse. I had a Gyro wrap that was delicious I would definitely get it again. Pricing was good and service was quick. Very happy visit.

10/10 service. Stephanie Glisson did a phenomenal job on making my food. She got everything exactly right and it was absolutely delicious. She had amazing service and even brought me waffle fries to my table.

Consistently good food and service for 20+ years. The history of old Newport and one of the surviving businesses that outlasted the "Sin City" era. Great nostalgia, and we like it better than the two more popular chili chains. I often get the DIXIE DELIGHT a mixed salad plate with a mix of choices of egg, ham, chicken, or tuna salad with fresh fruit. The chili and dogs are great (Tiki usually gets an Allie-gator dog with pickles). Not unusual for us to also get a gyro platter or soup bowl. We both enjoy their own brand of hot sauce, and when available, buy some for home. History says this will likely outlast everything on Monmouth.

Ordered through Door Dash. Pretty good. Order was prepared and ready fairly quickly.

Not bad at all! I wasn't in the mood for chili or any combination thereof, so I was pleasantly surprised that they had options at this drive-thru and eat-in site. I chose the turkey sandwich on wheat bread, accompanied by lettuce, tomato and mustard/mayo. Very impressive sandwich with two pickle spears and a bag of Husman's potato chips. The service wasn't speedy by any means, but hey, it was 10:45 a.m. and I was asking for lunch. Took my debit card and the employee at the window was very patient, in fact, super sweet as I added an unsweetened tea at the window! The sandwich was great...and I'll be back to try the chili!

    so good.

Can you be in love with a restaurant? Because I definitely have feelings for This one! Some may hold a love for skyline or goldstar or some other Cincinnati chili parlor, but me, my heart is in dixie...Dixie Chili that is. The best version of chili in Cincinnati is across the river in Kentucky. They have several locations and all are quite lovely, but my favorite is the Covington location. First of all, before we get to the food, the place is spotless, and the staff is friendly. Giant windows allow the retro inspired diner space to be flooded with natural light and a choice of tables or booths (I always opt for a booth) allow you plenty of space to dine solo or in a group. Two tvs mark one wall, usually on a news or sports channel, depending on whats going on, and a giant juke box is available for your listening pleasure. The menu includes the usual chili parlor suspects, coneys, 3-ways, etc. Dixie Chili also offers gyros, salads, deli meat sandwiches, chicken tenders, soups and waffle fries (also the usuals at some other non chain parlors, but not available at Skyline ) This particular location is on my way home from work, about a 2 mile walk, and it often serves as my reward. The salads they offer are my favorite. Nothing fancy, no frilly lettuces or trendy veggies, just good, fresh ingredients. I order the garden salad and add gyro meat and feta cheese (yes, as my husband always points out, I could just order a greek salad, but the garden salad includes purple cabbage & carrots, while the greek offers neither of those things, including instead, banana peppers and olives), with the creamy greek dressing. Divine. Another aspect that makes my heart happy are their beverage choices, coke products (including FOUNTAIN CHERRY COKE!), really good iced tea and also a small beer selection. This location also offers a drive through...winning! Please, for your own sake, give Dixie Chili a try!!

This amount of cheese is a joke for a nearly $8 4-way.

We had never been there before so we had no idea what to expect. When we got there, it is a "seat yourself" situation. It's more a bar than a restaurant, so it makes sense. The only frustrating thing was that there was no one really covering the entrance. While my partner and I waited in the lobby area for a table to open up, patrons who came in after us would just walk into the dining area and hover around tables until people would leave. That's not the fault of the restaurant, especially on a busy night, but it did leave us a bit frustrated in the beginning. Because the restaurant was so busy, the waitstaff was not very attentive. It felt like they were spread pretty thin. It was the first nice night of the spring, so lots of people were out in the patio area. The food was pretty decent. My sandwich was really good and I liked the egg roll appetizer. My partner liked the po boy, but the shrimp breading was very dark on the outside - usually meaning the oil hadn't been changed out. Overall, if you are looking for a relaxed bar atmosphere with outdoor seating where you can watch a game, this place will be good for you. If you're looking for a quiet restaurant with attentive service, this may not be the place.

The food was definitely the highlight. I went with the Slaytar, which was tasty, though next time I might ask for a little extra tartar sauce on the side. It's a super comfortable spot to grab a bite, and we'll definitely be adding this to our Cincinnati adjacent rotation. You will have a hard time choosing between burgers! While so many options looked delicious, I ended up getting the vegan black bean burger because it was rated one of the best in the city. It was very good! The pickle and red onion and barbecue sauce were really nice touches on the pretzel bun. It's a homemade burger patty, which is a lot better than a store-bought patty you'd find at most restaurants. at a price point of only $10, I upgraded to fries on the side, which were also delicious. Maybe it's because I had just spent some time on the West Coast, but I was shocked at my $12 bill for such a big and delicious meal! Tickle pickle is a great value. I already want to come back and try more of their menu! I noticed that they had vegan milkshakes which I want to try next time!

The first thing I look for is a nice patio. Unfortunately the weather wasn't cooperating today, but I will be back for this fabulous patio. I was there before the dinner rush, which explains the emptiness of the restaurant. More people started arriving after 5:00. There were so many yummy sounding choices on the menu that it was hard to decide. I asked my server, Erin, what she recommends and she said the CAJUN BOURBON FILET TIPS were her favorite. I went with that and was not disappointed. The filet was cooked and seasoned perfectly. It is served over mashed potatoes and topped with onion straws. While the beef portion was small, it was a satisfying meal and the flavors were perfection! I added a side Caesar salad. Their house-made croutons were so good and the dressing was tasty and perfectly portioned. I don't often order dessert, but decided to splurge tonight and got a slice of the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake to-go. OMG, this is one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had.
