It's a big place, multiple bars so you can get a drink. Wednesdays ladies enter and drink for free. But if you want to start a tab, you're leaving an ID or credit card AT THE BAR with your handwritten tab in an area where if it's busy someone can reach over and grab your card. I don't find that comforting at all. Their system is basic registers instead of a pos system that can access tabs at all registers. If you want to meet new people, forget it. It's a big place, country themed, and the dance floor was packed with line dancing. We stayed for a beer. From down to Naples up to Cape Coral, everyone's heard of Dixie Roadhouse! Cover on most nights is $5. Ladies night on Wednesdays- no cover for ladies. There are 3 full bars around the dance floor and at the very back side of the place is a raised platform with tables to sit, drink, and watch line dancers in action. We kept ordering Jack and Cokes all night, bartenders are all great. I line dance often and I must say what I enjoyed the most was the size of the dance floor! Best nights are Wednesdays and Fridays. Wow!! This club is soooo smooth. The guy at the door cards EVERYONE regardless of your age so when the LUCKY person walks in to the club they have been WAITING for to try n ROLL AGAIN , they can send the HIT MAN to her n he tries to pick you up n take you home to knock you off with a drug overdose of herion like they did to Anna Nicole Smith! So everyone in the area knows of Dixie Roadhouse. There is a cover it all depends on what nights you go. The dance floor is really big and you just have to try dancing once if you go there. They have three bars in the place and some seating. There is 3 upper lever like areas where you can watch the people dance and still be close to the bar. They don't always play country so if your looking for a country bar try it out a few times. This place allows smoking inside and i would say about 50% of the people there were smoking or it seemed like it because of the lack of ventilation that they should have. So if you can't do smoke avoid this place. Also they dont seem to be big on drink specials. The couple times I have been there they have never had any specials. read more

A popular venue with western decor, very smoky and difficult to get drinks. Its always packed and gets worse throughout the night. The music is country till later at night when it switches and is a mix or popular music too. Through out the night they teach the entire bar how to do a line dance with instructors to help you get on the right foot. There is a separate club to the side past the mens bathroom that plays hip hop and is 2 story. The drinks are reasonably priced and there always a $5 cover. Every night there is a birthday party, bachelorette party or any other type of get together, they all come to Dixie. Its always a fun time and good night here. read more

Not really a country fan but always have fun at Dixie. Them folks will line dance to anything from country to heavy rock to rap. They have a good sound system and that sure helps. Not a big choice of beers, but they at least try to offer a local beer or two. They defiantly take security seriously, so if your a redneck that likes to fight, you should go somewhere else!!! This is why I really like this place. My wife and I never have to worry about things getting out of hand. The Roadhouse also has concerts that are great. Even have big names like Molly Hatchet. The food isn't bad and they also have a buffet usually on Fridays that is pretty good. Someone said that they allow smoking- If they do, I didn't smell any smoke. To sum it up I'd say that the management of Dixie is doing a great job and the people that go there are very nice. read more

Had a groupon for concert which guaranteed a seat and it was not honored for me and about 100 others. Also noted was that the management had a private birthday party going on taking up tables and bar stools. At least 3 tables remained empty the entire time we were there. One in our party who could stand no longer, resorted to sitting in the Photobooth. We left the concert early and so did many unhappy guests. read more

So fun! We went in a Saturday night and had a blast. My friend wouldn't dance but it was totally comfortable for me to dance alone by myself. I caught on pretty quickly. There are a few people who do every dance and my guess is that they actually work there. My friend told me they usually do more instructional dances which gets the novices involved more. They only did it once over the few hours we were there. There was a good brawl that night too, which made for an "authentic" experience. My friend tells me that is very unusual though. We would have gone back Sunday night but they are closed Sundays. Oh well. read more

If line dancing is your thing, then Dixie Roadhouse is the place to be. Anyone who goes here will see for themselves that line dancing is exploding in popularity all over the United States of America. However, it is not a good place at all to meet new people or dance just any way you want to. Now I have seen other people complaining on other Internet forums about how they miss all the grinding, juking, and the slow dancing (freestyle dancing) of the old days. Well, here are your answers as to why there is no more of that in America, and also why, as reported, people here line dance to anything and everything. Guys, if you look closely at the dance crowd, you will see that roughly 90 to 95 percent of line dancers are women. American women today are toxic, hateful, and paranoid of strangers, men especially, including at nightclubs. Today, Americans, including in a dance area, they want their 6 feet of personal space. And American women today especially, they hate nothing more than guys dancing and grinding/"juking" on them. They are programmed to hate all men by default and see them all as predators and kidnappers. And they know that if the entire crowd is moving front to back and side to side like a battering ram, freestyle dancers (guys especially) will not go on the dance floor lest they risk getting knocked to the floor by collision with a line dancer or disrupting the dance format. It also helps people maintain their default ice barriers between strangers by making sure everyone only sees backs, not faces, of fellow dancers, so in other words, line dancing is a "shield" that keeps all strangers at bay. Basically, the point of line dancing is to show all strangers that they are forbidden within less than 6 feet of anyone not part of their clique, and that they are strictly forbidden to interact with anyone outside their cliques unless it is strictly business-related. It is also to show unaccompanied individuals that they are not welcome at all in the community. read more

Dixie is a really good time, they don't only play country music. But it is the promo bate genre of music. A lot on people doing country dances and wearing cowboy boots. They also teach some of the dances throughout the night. The only complaint I have is that they don't except a credit card for anything under 10$, and they don't have that piste duo anywhere and I didn't have a situation once where I ordered a beer and couldn't pay for not because I didn't have cash. The bar tender did end up giving me the beer at no charge which was awesome. But I still wish they couldn't taken a card because I'm not a person to carry around cash. read more

It's been a long time since I had been here. It was the beer trolley event (last Saturday) and the Dixie Roadhouse was on one of the stops. Other then the smokey atmosphere, I enjoyed the country music and the positive energy that filled the dance floor. It's really cool that they offered a lesson in line dancing to one of the songs, however my two left feet made progress impossible! Lol. Oh well! Everyone was having a great time. I had a bad experience at this place the first time I went. Nasty cigarette & cigar smoke in my face all night with no ventilation and nowhere to go to choke and let my eyes stop burning for 5 minutes. Nearly had an asthma attack. Musicians were not that great. I don't like that they take a photo of your ID either. The doorman also hassled me over my ID, guess he thought it was fake. I don't have to answer 50 questions about my driver license. It's clearly a real florida license. If he tries to pull that shit next time, he's getting a stiletto up his ass! read more

Went to see bone thugs here last Thursday. They said the show started at 6, so we got there around 830 thinking they would most likely start at 9. 2 1/2 hours later, after standing, (there were limited chairs), in a non-air conditioned bar with little to no ventilation packed with sweating people, they finally got on stage. I doubt this was the bands fault as the longer they took to go on, the drunker everyone got, making it a huge money maker for the owner. They wouldn't let anyone leave and come back either, and the line was so long at the bar to get a drink and/or water, its amazing this place hasn't been flagged as a health violation or fire violation, (there are a few small exits on the left hand side of the building, but no windows and no exits on the right). Might go back on a regular night, but it was hell seeing a concert there. read more

I will start off with the fact that the people I had the unfortunate experience to meet were very rude. My wife and I went here for a concert. When I purchased the tickets I chose a VIP meet and greet and we had to pick up the tickets in person. Well it said to be there at 330 to get tickets and have the sound check as well as meet and greet. Well I showed up at 315 and went inside to get the tickets. When I went inside this older lady asked very rudely "what do you need?" I said "I am here for the VIP" she said "YOU NEED TO WAIT OUTSIDE, SOMEONE WILL MEET YOU OUTSIDE" so we went outside. 340 came and nothing, 350 and nothing still. Finally someone came out and handed us our VIP information. When this happened people started to file inside only to be stopped inside. About 20 people made it in. The staff then claimed the band manager said we couldn't go in for the sound check. Well I heard them start playing and now there was 20 people inside with 30 -40 of us stuck outside. When we started raising a fit about this the bar staff did not care. I am fine if the manager said we couldn't come in yet but you need to kick the other 20 people out so its equal to everyone. Finally about 30 minuets later we were able to go in for the sound check which was amazing. We then went to do the meet and greet in the back area upstairs. Well while waiting by the ATM there was some kind of liquid that leaked on me from above me. Well when we got upstairs I didn't see where it could have came from so at this point I was pissed. The walls were really grungy.After the meet and greet we were forced to go back outside only to have to get back in line with everyone else. There was no early entry for us like the tickets promised. This was major false advertising. Luckily we were still able to get as close to the stage as we wanted to. Then while inside we wanted to get us some drinks so I went up to the bar. The bar tender kept on a conversation with some people at the bar for over 5 minuets while I stood there waiting to order. Then finally when I was able to order she stated "YOU NEED TO HAVE HER COME GET THIS DRINK I CAN ONLY SERVE 1 AT A TIME" What kind of shit is this? So we have to lose our spots because you can supposedly only serve 1 drink at a time? This is unacceptable, this was a get away weekend for the wife and I and I think we would have had a better experience at another venue. read more
