5 = food 4 = service Food is great. Best rotisserie chicken I've had. They spin the chicken which is unique. I had ordered their chicken thigh combo with double salad. Garlic aoili is yum, yum, yum. Not sure the cashier figured out his math correctly. I ordered a double salad instead of two separate sides that come with combo. He charged me for a different meal instead of the build-your- own. Just watch how they add things up if you make changes to your order. Not much seating. Good thing our friend came early to save seats for our small group.
I thought it was just okay. I ordered the two thighs meal. The wait was long which is expected at such a busy location inside the Spectrum. I didn't mind that part. But the food came out lukewarm which I did mind. I didn't love the flavor of the chicken, it definitely tasted like it was roasted but there was a lemony undertone which I wasn't too fond of. Probably won't come back but I can see why it's popular.
Was very excited to try their rotisserie chicken! it was pretty juicy and tender and i tried their plate, bowl, and wrap the plate was very worth it with 2 chickens and 2 sides. loved the pesto pasta and their potatos the wrap was also pretty good and went well with their sauces. def worth a try with reasonable pricing
The food here is BOMB!!! Went today for the first time as my friend insisted that we go and I was blown away with how much I loved the food. I ordered the spicy wrap (with added lettuce and tomatoes) along with their special sauce and after just a few bites my tastebuds were in heaven. The wrap is absolutely to die for and I'd high recommend you try it when you get. It's messy, but don't let that stop you from chowing down. The chicken is incredibly juicy, tender, and flavorful which is complimented by the crunch of the toasted wrap and all of the fresh ingredients inside. The sauce is super tasty with some zing and a nice kick which you have to try! I already can't wait to come back to get this again!!
I came into Dizzy Bird at the Irvine Spectrum and absolutely loved it! The menu is healthy, balanced, and delicious. The chicken is very tender and juicy with the best spice. My fiancé ordered the Hot Bird and I got the 1/4 chicken plate with the lemon garlic potatoes and pesto pasta salad. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and so satisfying. We both really enjoyed the meals we ate and can't wait to come back! The prices are also very reasonable, especially given the portion sizes. My only complaint might the seating which can feel a bit cramped when busy but it's definitely worth the visit for the food! Highly recommend.
I have seen such great reviews and talk about Dizzy Bird and I visit the Spectrum quite a bit so I was set to go visit and see what the buzz was all about. When we arrived on a Saturday afternoon it was pretty busy, only a few seats were avail in the shade outside and it was full inside. People eat pretty quick though and I noticed after waiting a few minutes, people were able to find seats. We wanted to try a couple of different items so we go a bowl and we got a wrap. The food was ready in about 10 minutes or so, not too long of a wait. Maybe i'm in the minority but I didn't think it was that great to where I would want to go back again. The bowl had standard things that I didn't think were all that great like the cherry tomatoes, pita chips, lettuce. The chicken was moist and tender, I did like that and the wrap had a delish sauce I think its their dizzy sauce. But nothing really stood out to me. Maybe I would have to order just the chicken plate not the bowl. The food did taste very fresh and high quality, also the bowl seemed healthy, that's a plus!
I got the Hot Bird Wrap and it was alright. People said the size was really small but I got pretty full from it. I think it might be because it was so hot inside that I lost my appetite. But the hot bird wrap was a little too spicy and I want to try their pesto pasta next time.

Okay I want to update my review as I feel it is very needed. This place is delicious. It is super consistent and I tried it again after awhile about a week ago.. i was hesitant as my previous time was not great.. and it was DELICIOUS!! I kept coming back and it is better every single time. The hot bird is the best. I crave it everyday. The service is quick and reliable. I wish they had more seats as they get busy.. but this place is amazing. I have been trying to find spots around me that replicate their shawarma but nobody comes close. Please visit if you are in this area.
Was at the Irvine Spectrum and saw a line out the door for this place- I love Mediterranean food and I was excited to give it a try regardless of the wait, it took about 30 minutes for the food to come out on a busy day, a little hard to find seating because the store itself is pretty small, but there is plenty of seating outside of the store at the Spectrum. You can see the kitchen preparing the food from the register as well! We ordered the whole chicken which came with two sides and I think this one was my favorite because of how juicy the chicken was when I tore it open. We also ordered the chicken with the salad and a pineapple drink. Overall, I had a great experience and it was so yummy!
Dizzy Bird has quickly become one of my fav eats for chicken! I have been wanting to try this hot spot for awhile, so when given an opportunity, I scheduled a lunch date w/ the hubs (since we were already at the Spectrum, dropping off our daughter for a hangout). We stopped by on a late Sunday afternoon (around 2:30ish) and it was poppin'. Even tho there was a line, ordering was fairly quick, since we knew what we wanted & ordered via the kiosk. Seating (both indoors & out) was hot real estate, so you really needed to keep an eye out to grab one before it's gone. Luckily, a fam was finishing up as we finished our ordering. Upon seating down, our name was called at the pick-up counter, so service was efficient. The vibe is chill, but fast-paced/hectic as well. Both the hubs & I ordered a two-thigh plate ~ which comes w/ 2 sides ($19.99/each). We opt'd for just the classic/original, no fancy smansy sauce it up..so we can truly taste the quality. I chose the pesto pasta salad & roasted lemon garlic potatoes for my sides & the hubs got the side salad & baked sweet potato. It was alot of food, for the price point..so it's fair (factoring in, we are dining at the Spectrum too). The food was fresh, chicken was moist & flavorful, and everything was cooked perfectly. The chicken was really juicy w/ a crispy exterior, and the sides complemented the meal well. I loved my pesto pasta salad. It reminded me of a mac salad (which I always get if given the chance), but w/ a pesto taste mixed in. Filling & refreshing. The potatoes were seasoned & grilled well. It had loads of flavor. I really liked my hub's baked sweet potato too. We halfsies the sides, so that we each could try everything. OMG..do yourself a favor and order extra TOUM (it's only like 0.75 cents extra)!!! That Lebanese garlic sauce is BOMB! I dipped it w/ literally EVERYTHING ~ from my pita bread to my chicken, and even my potatoes. YUMSSS.. All in all, great portions for the price & definitely worth a visit, esp. if you're craving fresh and healthy & in the area already. We'll be coming back again. RxFoodie recommend!!!

The atmosphere is highly energetic with the smiling staff. I happened to stand in line in front of one of the most annoying customer who asked about anything and everything and after adding and deleting numerous things she ended up cancelling it all except for one small thing. Hats off to the youth handling it all with a beautiful and understanding smile and not an eye roll or a big deep breath after she left. This is some really great upbringing and the training. Oh yes! Loved the fries and the Mediterranean salad. I lived it even without the dressing it comes with. You shouldn't try it!

Stopped by Dizzy Bird at the Irvine Spectrum after shopping and ended up being really impressed with how fresh everything tasted. Their chicken is spun instead of fried, so it comes out juicy and flavorful but still feels lighter than a lot of other fast-casual spots. I started with the Classic Bird Wrap and a sweet potato. The wrap was warm and satisfying, and their DB sauce added a nice boost of flavor. The sweet potato was soft and nicely cooked without being too sweet. I also tried the half chicken plate with the spicy lemon garlic flavor, which was probably my favorite part of the meal. It came with warm pita, pickles, house sauces, roasted lemon garlic potatoes, and a pesto pasta salad. The plate also includes two sides, and both of the ones I chose had great seasoning and tasted fresh. The portion was filling but didn't leave me feeling heavy. I finished with the Cali Salad. The greens were crisp and the Caesar dressing was creamy but still balanced. From what I tried, their dressings in general are all solid. It's also nice that the menu is halal, which makes it an easy option for more people dining in the area. Overall, a really good spot to keep in mind if you're at Irvine Spectrum and want something fresh, flavorful, and satisfying after walking around. read more

Dizzy Bird, located on the south side of the Irvine Spectrum, is known for their rotisserie chicken. Spinning the chicken, rubbed in DB sauce, instead of frying it, leaves it juicy, tender, and incredibly flavorful. The variety of platters, chargrilled wraps, bowls, and salads will surely meet your wants. Hot Bird ($12.50) - Rotisserie chicken tossed in hot spice marinade, garlic sauce, house-pickled jalapeños, hot mix, DB Sauce. The Hot Bird is saucy and spicy, stuffed with chicken. Definitely recommend it 10/10 Silly Bird ($12.50) - Rotisserie chicken, roasted potato, garlic sauce, pickled cucumber, DB sauce. The Silly Bird was recommended by the employee. The roasted potatoes added a twist to the classic wrap. It was very filling and perfect with the DB sauce. 9/10 French Fries ($5.50) - tossed in a Cajun-like seasoning. Came out crispy and perfectly seasoned. 10/10 Lemonade ($4.25) - comes in a slushy style. Mostly just lemonade with a bit of slush. Interesting style. Classic taste 8/10 Overall, Dizzy Bird is a MUST-try spot. I already want to go back to try their platters as those seem to be very popular. The chicken is perfect in every way! The food was really flavorful. We got the sillybird with fries which has a good amount of chicken to vegetable ratio. The house sauce was good as well a tart flavor that's slightly sweet similar to a chick-fil-a sauce. The service was good the guy at the front was nice and had a good voice. It was my first time trying this place after hearing so much about it and seeing their ads around Irvine. I honestly loved it! We ordered the 2-piece chicken plate with two sides (pesto pasta was delicious!), the garlic lemon potato which was amazing, and a chicken sandwich with fries. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. They also have great lemonade with free refills, and the ambiance is casual and family-friendly. Highly recommend if you're craving chicken plates, chicken breast, or a really good sandwich! All the staff are very friendly helpful. read more

This place was busy on a Thursday night, they had a lot of in-person and online/takeout orders. The plate is a generous portion, smaller portion on chicken, but the sides filled me up. I ordered the $19.99 half chicken with 2 sides; salad with a lemon vinaigrette and the lemon roasted potatoes. Neither were overly lemony and the potatoes were fork tender. Busy but average noise level. Line moved fast and a lot got their food to go. Smells and looks phenomenal as you're in line or waiting for your food. While eating I noticed the gentleman bagging the food go over and push the trash down with his gloved hands to see how full it was. He kept the gloves on and went back to bagging orders from the kitchen(!) THEN he went back to the trash, emptied it, put in a new bag...and eventually went back behind the counter to wipe trays. The entire time not having changed his gloves. Albeit the food was delicious, I'm never coming back. read more
I have ordered dizzy bird twice now both times via doordash and let me say it's delicious even after the 20 minute car ride. The chicken is well cooked and the sauces are delicious. Surprisingly very popular and busy. Has limited seating, they do have high tables with yellow chairs in the back area, but for whatever reason the cooking fumes stung my eyes. So popular that theres not much ability to clean the tables. Id recommend having some spray/towel out so customers can wipe it themselves. We got the chicken plate with hot lemon dressing and the hot chicken wrap. The half chicken plate came with 2 sides and a pita bread. One thigh, one breast and was tender. The sweet potato was roasted well and soft. The sauce is quite sour and more liquid, they do provide smooth garlic butter on the side. There was so much sauce, that was what I mostly tasted. The potatoes were soft. The pita bread however, was kind of lackluster and flat (cold). I think having the softer kind in triangles would help with soaking up the sauce, the kind they served feels more appropriate for a wrap. Definitely opt for a takeout box if you mean to take it back as the sauce can definitely get messy. The hot bird chicken wrap is a better way to get the mix of flavors and pairs really well with the sauce. The wrap outside is crunchy and inside is flavorful. Not as sauced as the plate. The wrap was packed with chicken but tasted a bit dry. Overall, the wraps key point is the crunchyness. I liked the sides they had and its relatively healthy. In irvine spectrum near 85 degrees. OVERALL : I've had Dizzy Bird a couple times at their original location in Mission Viejo and loved it, so I was really excited to go to their Irvine location when they opened in the Spectrum! They specialize in chicken -- "spun, not fried". The spatchcock rotisserie chicken is so tender and juicy, and theee best when paired with their sides and sauces. I love their wraps! I got a Silly Wrap last time but decided to try the spicy one "Hot Bird" this time. Silly Wrap is still my fav but the Hot Bird is well worth a try and super filling! The store is on the smaller side, with some seats inside/outside and a bar/counter seating. Can get crowded but the food is worth the visit and service is quick for how busy it can get! PARKING : Inside the Irvine Spectrum -- lots of parking lots / structures around the mall but it can get pretty packed if you're coming on weekends / during busy hours! FOOD/DRINKS : Hot Bird - Rotisserie chicken tossed in hot spice marinade, garlic sauce, house pickled jalapeños, hot mix, DB Sauce -- this had a good spice to it! Flavorful and lots of different textures. Their sauces always hit the spot! Lemon Garlic Roasted Potatoes - fork tender, creamy, and big on the lemon flavor! Then this spot is for you, the meals are packed with flavor, keep it tasty with a wrap, healthy and filling with a salad or go all out with a half chicken plate! I recommend the Mediterranean salad (I could eat this weekly) wraps- the Spicy wrap if you like some heat or the Regular wrap. Go all out with the half chicken (many sides) I ordered mine with the pesto pasta and roasted potatoes, comes with garlic sauce add the Spices lemon garlic sauce too! Staff is kind and helpful! Okay... this place understood the assignment. I got the spicy chicken wrap and the potatoes, and wow. The chicken is insanely juicy and flavorful, and the sauce they put on it is SO good. Like, I was already planning my next visit halfway through the wrap. Everything inside was fresh and delicious, no boring bites. let's talk about the potatoes for a second. I love that they offer potatoes instead of just regular fries because you can get fries anywhere. These potatoes were so flavorful and cooked perfectly, honestly such a good choice and I'd order them again in a heartbeat. When I went, their computers were down so ordering was through the kiosks or online only. Even though they were super busy, everyone was moving fast and working hard, which I really appreciated. Also, major bonus points for the ventilation. It's a smaller spot with an open kitchen and chicken roasting, but it never felt smoky, hot, or overwhelming. You get all the amazing food smells without leaving smelling like you worked there. Overall, delicious food, hardworking staff, and such a good vibe. Classic Bird Wraps- we got two of these and they were so good! The rotisserie chicken was perfectly seasoned and so juicy. The garlic sauce was creamy and flavorful, and the pickled cucumber added this perfect tangy crunch. Their special DB sauce was amazing - it really tied everything together and had such unique flavor. The wrap itself was soft and held everything perfectly without falling apart. Dizzy Bird Bowl- this came with rice, greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, pickled onions, tzatziki, pita chips, and rotisserie chicken breast. This was absolutely delicious! The chicken breast was so tender and flavorful - you could really taste that 24-hour marination process. The rice was perfectly cooked and all the fresh vegetables were crisp and vibrant. The tzatziki was creamy and fresh, and I loved how the pita chips added this perfect crunch to every bite. Baked Sweet Potato- we got this as a side and it was the perfect complement to everything! The sweet potato was perfectly cooked - fluffy inside with slightly caramelized edges. It was such a great balance to all the savory flavors and added this natural sweetness that worked so well with the Lebanese spices. The marination process really shows in every single bite - the chicken is packed with flavor and incredibly juicy and tender. Plus everything is halal which is amazing! I've been coming to Dizzy Bird at the Irvine Spectrum about twice a week for the last few weeks, and I felt it was time to leave a review. First off, a huge shoutout to Farouk and Homero. These guys absolutely crush it. Every time I walk in, the line is moving fast, the restaurant is spotless, and they're working nonstop to keep everything running smoothly. On my last visit, there was an entire table full of pickup orders, and they had them assembled and out the door in what felt like minutes. They truly have this place dialed in. Now let's talk about the real MVP: the Dizzy Sauce. As someone who loves a good sauce, this is what keeps me coming back. It's packed with flavor and takes an already great meal to the next level. My go-to order is the Classic Bird Wrap with fries and avocado added to the wrap. Absolute chef's kiss. The chicken is flavorful, the ingredients are fresh, and everything comes together perfectly. The value is another reason I keep returning. My meal usually comes out to around $16, and honestly, it's worth every penny. Great portion size, great quality, and consistently delicious. I haven't worked my way through the rest of the menu yet, but judging by the steady stream of customers coming through the doors and ordering just about everything they offer, I'm clearly not the only fan. Pros: cashier was friendly, there's indoor and outdoor seating, music is nice, ambiance is casual, all the plastic utensils, napkins, ketchup, and water cups are out for you to grab what you need. The garlic sauce/dip was great! I didn't get the fries, but they looked really good on someone's plate! Cons: the chicken was all right. It honestly didn't taste that different from the rotisserie chicken from Ralph's; I'm so sorry to say that. And, I actually prefer the rotisserie chicken from Ralph's compared to Costco. But, from the reviews and pictures, I was expecting something really different and special, but it wasn't that. I tried the breast and thigh, and they were fine. For the sides, we got the pasta and potatoes. Those were fine as well, nothing to scream about. The pita was nice and thin, so it was fine. The plate that it came on was really, really oily on the bottom. So, although, this food would be a healthier choice overall, all that oil or grease on the bottom is just too much and counteracts the health-conscious benefits. Many people love this place, so definitely give it a try. I'm not dying to come back, but I'm not ruling it out completely. The wrap might be better, I don't know. read more

Silly bird wrap I really enjoyed this! Maybe my favorite part is the creamy yukon gold potato that's nestled inside. The pickled cucumber inside helps to break up any heaviness between the grilled wrap and the potato, which was a nice touch. One thing: their white meat isn't the most juicy, there's a slight dryness to it, but is easily fixable with the Smokey Orange sauce they provide. I ate half and saved the rest for another meal! Pesto pasta side For a side, portion is great. It looks a bit unassuming and sad, but actually is quite tasty. Would get again. I'd add black pepper to this one. Was looking for a cool place to grab something healthy and light. Found this little spot at Irvine spectrum. Parking was tough but this shopping center always is. It was pretty easy to order, they had iPads but was able to order in person. Asked for a recommendation and went for the Mediterranean salad. It was fresh with a nice vinaigrette. Nothing out of this world but good. The place had plenty of seating and was pretty packed. They had both indoor and outdoor. read more

Dizzy bird is an establishment located in Irvine Spectrum that serves mediterranean style rotisserie chicken. We ordered their spicy silly bird wrap and it tasted delicious. Inside contained their rotisserie chicken, pickles, potato, and sauce. If you're not good with spice, I would not order the spicy version as it definitely has a kick to it. The inside is very clean and has lots of seating. The staff are also very kind. The only reason it was docked a star was because of how small 1 portion was. Personally, I thought the wrap was long but small in diameter. For $13 I would have expected there to be a little bit more inside. Overall, their food is great but not the best bang for your buck. If you're interested I would recommend trying their food. read more

I've heard lots of positive, trending reviews about the rotisserie chicken here so I decided to give it a try. My friend and I ate at Dizzy Bird yesterday, and we each ordered a half chicken plate w/ pesto pasta and golden potatoes for our sides. The chicken was juicy and the serving sizes were very generous! We also split a Hot Bird wrap since it seemed to be the most popular wrap option. Shoutout to our server John for giving us recommendations and taking our order! The food here is amazing. The reason why I am giving 2 starts is because whenever I place an online order and I want to give no tip or less than recommended, the moment I press check out, the tip chances to whatever is recommended. First of all, why give tip to an online order? Second, why change my tip? You guys are stealing from your costumers. And another reason for the two stars is because whenever I ordered the whole chicken that comes with garlic sauce they never put the garlic sauce in the bag anymore. I have to check every single time. In their menu, it says that comes with garlic sauce. Again, you guys are stealing from your customers. There's no complaint about the food. Easy to walk up and order but I always feel some type of way about computer ordering only. Luckily there was a friendly staff member nearby to help me with a couple questions. The cut up chicken breast plate is very kid friendly! My boys gobbled it up with fries & corn. I wish an extra corn wasn't so $$$ though, and I wish it came with pita bread. I ordered all that separately. I enjoyed my classic wrap, and my husband said the hot wrap was SPICY! Good location, nice folks, clean restroom, will be back but will order slightly differently! I tried this place with a friend recently and I loved it! I got the Hot Bird wrap upgraded with a side salad and my friend got one of the chicken plates (no pic unfortunately). For around ~$15 for the two items, this wasn't a bad deal and the wrap was well seasoned, juicy, and flavorful and the salad was fresh. If you're looking for something a little bit more filling, the plate was a bit pricey but I was told it was very good. Only issue here is there is limited seating, so this is better as a takeout place or to eat around the mall. I wouldn't recommend coming at peak lunch/ dinner hours intending to dine in. Dizzy Bird is located near Target and 85 Degrees at Irvine Spectrum. As a carnivore, chicken isn't usually my favorite meat option since it tends to be dry if not cooked properly. Given this, I usually get dark meat so I ordered the 1/4 chicken plate which includes: thigh & drumstick and your choice of two sides: (1) Roasted Lemon Garlic Potatoes (2) Baked Sweet Potato (3) Grilled Corn on the Cob (4) Side Salad (5) Mediterranean Rice (6) French Fries, and (7) Pesto Pasta Salad Also, served with pita bread, garlic sauce and pickles.
