This place used to be dizzy birds but now it's called honest to goodness. It's definitely a different set up. It's like a large open concept kitchen where you can see everyone making your dishes. You order at the counter and then pick a table, and when your food is ready they call your name. Then you take care of your dishes at the end. Tipping is optional. We got the bbq 1/2 chicken meal for 2. It was ok. The chicken was juicy but not well flavored. The carrots were ok, the mashed potatoes were excellent. The gravy with them also delicious, best part of the meal, hands down. They're accessible into the building but a chair would have to wait on the first level, while someone else went to order, which is a hefty step down, but could still eat there with another person to order. There are many many options that are gluten and dairy free. Catering to that crowd I would say. I understand the dietary limitations but everything is better with gluten and real dairy. Their Cole claw had a bit too much purple cabbage for me! They do have some desserts - also dairy free. If any of this sounds appealing, check them out !

An early supper at Dizzy Bird in Biddeford, Maine. The drum plate with two drum/thighs and sides of kale-broccoli salad and mayofree tater salad. It was way too much for o e sitting. They definitely need to open a location in Brunswick!

I finally got around to trying this place and it's really good! I loved the kale and broccoli salad. So good!!! I will definitely be back to try more menu items. Roll was dry. I couldn't eat it but that's really the only negative. Everything else was great.

This is some of the best potato salad I've ever had. And it's vegan. You wouldn't think that a place labeled a rotisserie would have such an incredibly thoughtful and inclusive menu, but they do - so if you're vegetarian or vegan, don't write this place off. It's comfort food, it's stick to your ribs food, it's food made with love. They've got both a tofu sandwich (made with black bean puree and caramelized onions) and a daily vegan entree that comes with two sides and cornbread (GET. THE. CORN. BREAD.). The potato salad is mayo free - and it seriously hits the spot. Sometimes I feel oversaturated by mayo-based salads (even vegan ones), so this is a breath of fresh air. The maple ginger carrots (vegan) are so big and so flavorful! There's also mashed potatoes and mac and cheese (vegetarian) that I could swim in, along with a host of other sides. The staff here is truly in touch with the food - since everything's made in house! - so if you're unsure if something is vegan or vegetarian, just ask! There's herbivore friendly soups as well, enormous family-sized meals to takeaway (like lasagnas, pot pies, and even vegetarian shepherd's pie), and the pecan pie is absolutely lovely - not only is the perfect mini pie for one (#sharingiscaring #butnotwhenitcomestodesserts), part of the proceeds benefit the Alzheimer's Association of Maine. What's not to like about a business that opens it doors and *immediately* gives back to the community?

Half chicken with mac n cheese and squash. The mac n cheese was a definite winner! I devoured ALL OF IT

Another excellent visit! We did the family with a whole rotisserie, sides were cole slaw, mac , cheese (my fav), baked beans, and kale salad. This meal also came with 4 very generous and delicious slabs of cornbread. Everything was excellent. Tender, juicy chicken. Baked beans were definitely homemade - easy to tell with the texture of the beans and the quality of the sauce. Kale salad was a great balance of crunch, sweet, sour. So good. Reasonable prices especially for the portion size A favorite in Biddeford

When you're wanting to celebrate your 9-year wedding anniversary in a delicious way, I say choose @dizzybirdsrotisserie. We got the mixed BBQ plate which gave us 1/2 of a chicken, 1/2 rack of ribs and three sides. We chose native corn salad (delightful), mac & cheese (holy crap) and the roasted carrots, which we thought were maple carrots, but unfortunately turned out to be fennel (we brought these to my parents). It came with what can only be described as a brick of sweet cornbread, and we got a pot de creme for dessert (a thick, rich chocolate mousse with fresh cream and berries). The meat fell off of the bones, the flavors were developed and delightful, and they even gave us a squirt bottle of their bbq sauce! We are 100% satisfied with the artistry that was our meal and the service. The crew at #dizzybirdsrotisserie was stoked to have us, and pumped to help us celebrate our anniversary. There's nothing better than supporting a small business that truly appreciates you not just as a customer, but as local in the community. Well done, Dizzy Birds. We'll be back, and we'll be sending over everyone we know! #mainebbq #bestdamnchicken #mainefoodies #yelpmaine #supportsmall #supportlocal #biddefordmaine #sacomaine #dammgoodfood

Wish I could give more than 5 stars. This place has the best sandwiches! Reached out to DB for a catering order for my office. The customer service that Tom gave was outstanding. The food was amazing! The staff that prepared my order did a great job on the presentation of each sandwich by adding a piece of string. Looking forward to work with them again. I highly recommend placing a catering order for a office meeting, birthday party, or any other event.

Regardless, the food was amazing with their spicy and BBQ sauces. The staff was excellent with their service and provisions given. Like giving silverware before the food comes, very friendly, and they were very informative about their menu and specials. The atmosphere and ambiance were very comforting and rustic, almost close to resembling a full Texas BBQ. Another plus is that they change their specials daily, meaning new and interesting items to offer, such as wings, salads, cocktails, etc. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5

I was pumped to realize they share a parking lot with Palace Diner and Sacred Profane, so I knew where to go and didn't have to pay for parking! We had the Frito pie appetizer which was very good. I love all my food extremely hot, because I take a while to eat, so I do think the Frito pie could have been bubbling, especially since it was served in a baby cast iron skillet. To drink I had what was essentially a margarita, which was solid. My husband had a maple bourbon cocktail and enjoyed it. For our main, we shared the tray for 2, which was more than we could eat, at least after the Frito pie. I liked the brisket, ribs, and Mac and cheese the most. The cole slaw needs more flavor/sauce but feels like a healthy slaw as is. The service was OK. There was 1 waiter for the whole place and he had 6 tables at one point. He was very friendly and offered suggestions. We will return because my husband wants to try a sandwich. I'm not sure what I will get, but the menu has a lot of really good options, including vegetarian barbecue options like tofu and seitan, so there's something for everyone.

The chicken for the chicken and waffles was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The waffles were average but that chicken was to die for. The maple butter with it was a good addition to it. So I opted for Griffins since they had some decent reviews and wasn't too far. Griffins exceeded my expectations. I ordered a 6pc chicken wing with a "sweet heat" dry seasoning, brisket w/ blueberry bliss bbq sauce, and two small sides, mashed potato with gravy as well as the street corn. Not only did I feel like the prices were more than fair, but the food was delicious even after it had taken a ride. The brisket was tender, juicy, perfectly fatty, and the blueberry bbq sauce was balanced with a sweetness and a slight tang. The chicken wings were extremely juicy, perhaps some of the best cooked wings I've ever had. If I had any critique it would be that they were slightly lightly seasoned, but that is just me nitpicking. The mashed potatoes were rich, buttery, and decently seasoned, but felt slightly one dimensional. Lastly, the street corn was both rich and tangy which helped cut through the richness of everything else. I plan to visit Griffins in person and am looking forward to it.

I wanted to dine in, which was fine, though my food was still served in takeout containers. I ordered the "cauliflower pop" appetizer, tekka maki (tuna sushi), and tombo (a sushi roll containing cold albacore tuna, shiso, scallion, and ginger). The cauliflower app was fried and battered and covered in a sweet/spicy sauce very much like a General Tso sauce. Unfortunately I think what should have been a crispy texture was very soft and mushy, probably due to the sauce, and maybe how it was packed in a closed plastic container (despite it being served to a customer only a few feet away in the small dining room). The sushi was much better, both rolls being very tasty. The tombo roll had a particularly interesting and fresh taste to it. Yelp asks that a reviewer cover food, service, and ambiance.
