    Lobster roll.

As a resident of Clearwater, I'm often asked where to go for seafood!!! This place is high on the list of recommendations! No frills, local, and always fresh! My friends, who are lobster roll fanatics, tell me that the rolls here are the best around by far! I love the breaded clams strips! So fresh and delish. Today, the drink special was a mango piña colada! This is one of those places that make you feel like you're on vacation! So glad it's right here in my county!

We were at pass-a-grille beach and decided to drive up to Indian shores to eat here. We got the clam strips basket, fried shrimp basket, clam soup and steamed clams. Everything was delicious! It is very busy there but the food was worth the wait. Very happy to find this place after reading all the good reviews. Nice decor too.

Great service and excellent food. Best clam chowder around. That is a must. Today was national lobster day. So I had to try the hot lobster roll. It's served with drawn butter and cole slaw. Delicious good portions served on a buttery roll. Love the seafood decor.

We were greeted very kindly and received incredible service. Food was ready very quickly and it was very clean. I got the lobster roll and it was the best i've ever had!

Excellent lunch spot!! It's a small spot, but great and easy to order at the counter and grab a seat. We came for lunch on a Saturday (12:45) and easily snagged two tables for our large group. The servers were so friendly and prompt with taking orders and bringing out the food (although there was only one guy at the grill, so our large party of 8 reasonably had to wait a little. Everything we got, we loved!! I got the cold lobster roll (AMAZING, just as good as the ones you get in the northeast, not too much mayo and nice chunks of celery) with coleslaw and sweet potato fries (both delicious), my husband got the hot lobster roll (equally amazing) with "some of the best onion rings ever" according to many people in our group, and others got incredible mahi tacos (nice and tender with a spicy remoulade on flour tortillas), a shrimp po boy, and plump coconut shrimp. Everything was a hit!! We will absolutely be back!

We dropped by this place after watching the beach sunset. I had the clam chowder. Have you had the lobster roll and a basket of fries. The fries came with a barbecue sauce of sorts. Very interesting flavor. The lobster roll is both hot and cold. We opted for the hot one. The clam chowder hit the spot specially because it was kind of chilly outside. It's a quaint spot And the food is great. I must go to if you're visiting the area.

Fried shrimp and French fries...lots of food; took half back to the room for later. Delicious! .

Nice vibe...great food and service. Big serving...enough to share. Shrimp and fries cooked to perfection.

    Maine Lobster Roll

We stopped in at DJ's Clam Shack in Indian Rocks and were pleasantly surprised! The Maine lobster rolls were absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful, and honestly even better than the ones we had at Bealls in Bar Harbor, Maine, which says a lot. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, and the staff was warm, friendly, and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because they don't offer a kids' meal. For a spot that feels family-friendly, it was a bit frustrating that the kid-friendly items were on the pricier side, and the chicken tenders were a little too unique for my kids' tastes. A simple kids' option would make a big difference for families. Overall, though, great food, great people, and definitely worth a visit--especially if you love a good lobster

Stopped here for lunch during a recent trip to Madero Beach. It's a seafood restaurant that has been on Diners Drive ins and Dives. I ordered the fish and chips which was made with Maui . The wife ordered fried shrimp. Both meals were delicious and we would certainly order them again. We did not order the Lobster Roll due to the price and the fact that we were going to be eating dinner soon. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. I certainly will return next time I'm there.

Yasss. The food here will have you driving to the beach every day. The food is fresh tasty cooked to perfection. The service is great. The ambience is like a little kind of fry Seafood to go type place. They do have some seating inside, but you will not go wrong. This food is really good. I had the lobster roll the warm one and the lobster roll was filled to the brim with real chunks of good lobster and the cracked conch is a must. Even the fries are good!

If you are looking for fresh, fried seafood DJ's is your place in the Indian Shores area. Perhaps you want to check the Original Crabby's off the list as an institution, OK--I get that. However, if you are seeking fresh, made to order fish, shrimp and fries with a cold beverage without the crowds, you won't be disappointed with DJ's. The shrimp are big and tasty. The Mahi was fresh and firm. Your regular fixin's (fresh cut fries W/O any batter thank goodness and slaw are solid). Tarter and cocktail sauce are typical fair. Features Coke products at the fountain and most of your standard American brews with a couple micros for good measure. Place is clean. About five tables inside w/seating capacity of about 20 inside with a couple picnic tables and high tops outside. Solid, solid fried seafood dinner. Came twice and was very happy both times. Conch fritters were good with a notable amount of meat. Clam chowder was solid too. They offer Ipswich clams and lobster rolls too. Fish or shrimp tacos. Steak and cheese and hot dogs if anyone in your party is not a seafood fan. Service is good bringing fresh hot food to your table just out of the fryer. You get your own drinks.

From the moment we walked in, Jimmy and Sarah were the friendliest restaurateurs we've encountered. It had a casual ambiance but was incredibly clean especially just a few weeks post hurricane! The hot lobstah roll was the best I've had in years! (Probably either the best or second best I've ever had). The mahi mahi tacos also had great flavor and the fish was cooked to perfection! The clam chowder was good too but I was probably too full to appreciate it! We will definitely be back regularly!

There are very few places that I am willing to be a frequent at because I can't settle for average food, when there are so many good places out there to try.... But DJ's has won me over. I've heard so much about DJ's especially when I was in Key West, then come to find out we have a location here in Indian Rocks! A true blessing right there! Before I even arrived my expectations were high given the hype of the place--yet it did not disappoint! Upon arrival mid day on Saturday we were immediately greeted by the server/host. She was so attentive and recommended her favorites on the menu! One was the conch and I can't wait to try it next time I go, but I couldn't pass up fish tacos & my friend got a lobster roll (which can be so hit or miss). It would be an understatement to say we were pleased. We were both hungry after a Long Beach morning and we both left satisfied. My tacos were huge and I couldn't even finish the fries. My friend got a hot lobster roll with butter and my heavens I could've ate that as well. As known, lobster is not cheap and this roll was worth every penny off the $28 spent! I believe the tacos were about $17 which hit the spot too! We both got waters but they have a wide selection of bottled and canned alcoholic beverages I'd love to try! The restaurant had people coming and going but it wasn't crazy busy! I can see this place being very popular, but keep in mind there's only a few tables and parking is limited! I can't wait to come back and try something new or I'd be completely content getting the same thing!

Well if you don't like smoking, don't come here. We don't smoke and had to wash our clothes immediately and shower before bed. Was it worth it? Yes. It's an interesting mix of folks but the common thread is everyone wants a good time!! Our server was amazing!! I'm not sure if they have karaoke every night but they did on Friday and it was a hoot! We'll be back!!!

The bartenders dont take shit but are very caring and sincere. If you come here make sure you show your ID to the bar when you walk in as well. The bathrooms are always clean and if someone goes a little too hard and makes a mess, just mention it to Gina and she'll handle it in between quickly. There are a lot of regulars but 99.9% are welcoming from the front by the stage to the back of the bar stools. Drinks are cheap, I believe its 2$ beers and you can bring food in from outside if you are hungry (or door dash). The KJ (kareoke dj) is fantastic and one of the best in the business. Johnny will adjust the sound settings and mic to make sure you sound good, just don't say, "f*ck" on the mic and youre good. Its a house rule given out by the owners of the bar and is the only word you can not say on the mic. If you want to sing, just talk to him and he'll put you into the rotation with some amazing singers and some more entertaining ones. Everyone here just likes to unwind and have a good time, there's an atm if you need cash or want to tip cash and a cigarette machine that works. Ive been going here for years and many of the nights feel as if one is at a concert lineup with the talent that walks on and off the stage (Holden, Dom, Johnny, etc). As a woman ive felt very comfortable at this bar but also if you leave your drink unattended, Gina the bartender will make sure when you walk away that its moved to where she can get better eyes on it while you step out. Theres sports constantly playing on half of the TVs (about 6 or 8 total) that show hockey, football, and whatnot. Theres one pool table and you need quarters but the bar will give you change. Kareoke nights are tues 8 pm - midnight, fri. and sat. are 9 pm - 1 am. On majority of major holidays (Halloween, fourth of July, st Patrick's day) this place will have kareoke on a non kareoke day as well. If youre not sure and want to check just call the number from the Google listing. Lastly, if you want to do kareoke, be respectful to the kj, his demeanor can be sweet or grumpy like squidward but he is genuine and will do his best to make you look good. On occasion he'll sing with you if you need a duet partner and he is very good!
