Love this place All the time! The best happy hour on the patio! I will continue to come back!

Great casual diner with a classy Chicago tavern-like feel to it. Our server was great- super friendly and had a lot to share about the menu! We all got the spicy rigatoni which had an excellent red chili sauce that paired nicely with the unique stracciatella. I'd say it had a tasteful spice but the spicy food fiends out there might be left unsatisfied. The brownie!!!! was also just as good as it looks! Magically it wasn't too sweet even with the cherry filling and ice cream on top. Sweet treats are my biggest weakness so I might be a little biased, but my friends also had positive reviews so you can take their word for it too. Overall great experience, a little pricey but worth it if you're looking for a nice spot to dine in.

I really enjoy this place. Def has that SMU feeling to it with a mix of Cheers (yes the TV show). Food and service in the few times I've been here has been good. I come for the tavern style pizza which may not be home, but gives me what I need when I wan that feeling. If I lived in the neighborhood, I'd be call Norm for the many times I'd be here.

Some of the best pizza I've ever had. Can't beat a crispy crust and flavorful ingredients. Also the Gibson salad was delicious. To add our sever was great and the covered patio seating was well ventilated and welcoming. With no reservation on a weekend, we were seated in seconds Overall I actually have no complaints about my experience or the food. Is this a fine dining establishment? No, but it doesn't need to be to earn 5 stars. All I can say is that I need to come back ASAP!

We tried this place for lunch recently and had a good experience. We were sat in a booth on the side of the bar and it was comfortable and quiet. We tried the deviled eggs and the fries to start with. Both had great flavor. The tuna melt was tasty. The sauce on it should be an option for the fries. The white truffle gnocchi was delicious. I added chicken at the recommendation of our server and it was fantastic . Our service was great. We can't wait to come back to try more menu items.

Delicious food and decent service. The ambiance is very similar to Hudson House and the food is tasty. It is a little on the pricier side but the ambiance makes up for that. We came for lunch on a weekend and it was not super packed which was nice. They have a patio that is heated and enclosed during the winter which makes for plenty of more searing options. The food itself was tasty and the portions are plenty big. The burger was delicious and their shoestring fries are not to be missed. Cracker crust pizza and huge chicken parm as well! I'd definitely recommend this spot for a great meal! The only miss for us was our server was a but slow in checking on us but was not the end of the world.

This is an INSPIRED Chicago restaurant. Not very close to Chicago. Staring off with their beers... you can't try even being a Chicago tavern when you don't have old style. We got the chicken tenders and as they were good, they were Japanese style not Chicago. The pizza was good, but the thin crust is a totally different thin crust in Chicago as well as they're Italian sausage. But as a Dallas restaurant trying to be a Chicago Tavern not bad.

The happy hour was amazing here! Also we got the pizza, very good. Martinis are delicious!!!

I visited the Preston Location and I will say the staff was very nice. Service was good and since they're located in a big parking lot, parking isn't an issue. The food was tasty but I think the specialization is the pizza. I had the spicy pasta and it definitely had a kick!. Overall I do plan to visit them again.

Yes, yes, and another yes! Service was great, the staff was prompt and attentive. We started with the gin cocktail which was light and fresh. The mozzarella bites were lightly battered and served with a marinara sauce that was slightly sweet. The Caesar salad was the bomb! And the cornbread croutons were innovative and I wish there was more. They are known for their tavern pizza which I highly recommend. Good ratio of cheese and pepperoni to sauce and crust!

Fantastic dining option from the Vandelay group. The ambiance is super warm in here and can be great for many occasions including date night or getting together with friends. We enjoyed a regular martini and espresso martini which were part of a great happy hour. We then split a salad and pizza (Bill Murray Special) which were also amazing. This was one of the more enjoyable dining experiences we have had recently and plan on coming back.

Comfortable and spacious dinning room! You're able to the feeling of privacy, not cramped or crowded. Well designed!

I really like DL Mack's! I've been to both locations and they are equally great places to enjoy. I'm from Chicago and miss the food so it's right up my alley. Staff at both are great seem to be trained well and attentive. And the ambiance is nice they have created a great experience. I'm torn every time I go but I think I figured it out. They have created a fine dining experience with a limited menu and a lot of pub food. It's like a pub wanting to be more than a pub. I love the attire of the staff and appreciate the attempt. Even the food is not disappointing but it's pricy for what you get. It's enjoyable but I'm always thinking as I'm sitting there, I'm missing something and I think it's the connection between fine dining and pub. It doesn't quite connect. Great casual dinning!

The restaurant is pretty intimate and tables are close together, with additional seating outside. The service is super friendly and finds a great balance between checking on the table and letting the customers take their time to chat and look over the menu. I just wish our server mentioned there were additional drink menu options written over the bar, because I preferred those choices to what was on the menu! On the topic of cocktails, I tried the the nuit en rose spritz, the limoncello spritz as well as the pina colada spritz. They were all delicious, freshening and while the cocktails are definitely pricey, I thought there was enough alcohol in the drinks to make them worth it. For food, we ordered the honey truffle brie baguette, the frites, and the quiche of the day which happened to be goat cheese and spinach. WOW!! The baguette transported me to heaven, so good!! The truffle is strong though, so only order if you like that flavoring! Frites were crispy and easy to grab by the handful, definitely worth ordering and splitting with the whole table. The quiche was fresh and bouncy, and I was glad it was on offering since the regular quiche includes meat that can't be substituted out! Will definitely come back to this hidden gem!!
