One year I used Universal & was not at all happy. This year, I used Stanly Gelber &Co & was extremely dissatisfied with them. I will definitely be using Barrington White for servicing my Lennox. I am so happy that I found him on Yelp. He is meticulous, he explains what is wrong and does not try to sell a new AC unit like Stanley Gerber & Co did this past month. I heard a hissing noise, which I followed and I'll be darned, there was water on the basement floor, which I traced to have been coming from the hot water heater. Panic mode set in. I called a local repair guy and he couldn't come until Sunday. NG. My first call was to Ferguson's plumbing Supply (formerly Blackman's), told them what the problem was, gave them all the specs about my water tank and they said they had it but they were closing at 12 noon. Made several phone calls, and they either went into voice mail or they couldn't be bothered. The main reason was that I was providing my own water tank. Less money to be made. Somebody that was not readily available, recommended Anthony from APV Mechanical. He called me, I told him my predicament and we agreed on a price. He gave me a time frame and his people showed up as promised. After I had agreed with Anthony to do the job, received several phone calls, and when I told them I already had someone, they underbid him by a couple hundred but I had promised Anthony that no matter what, he had the job. Ran like a maniac and purchased the WH, and Anthony and his people installed it in less than 3 hours, and my life went back to normal. Anthony and his people were very considerate, honest, efficient, very affordable, and pretty clean as his crew made sure that all the water was gone and ensure that both, my boiler and hot water heater were working. Based on my experience with Anthony and his company, I would recommend him, no questions asked.

I've had to have other companies come in and fix his poorly installed work on several occasions because he is unwilling to stand by his warranty. I will break it down. 11/2024 the came and replaced a transformer on a buzzing heating unit of which I paid $150 for them to come and evaluate earlier. No bill was issue and I was asked to call the office. The same day they confirmed this fee would be applied to the invoice via phone. An invoice was never received so I figured there was no bill. The transformer is $100 online. I contracted with them to do further work for roughly $2,300. Bill was paid the same day. 3/2025 they issued a bill for $430 for 15 minutes of work. Ok but they did not remove the $150 evaluation fee they charge to just come out though they said they would. I responded immediately to the email asking why it took so long for them to invoice and to remove the $150 as the office promised. No response was received. 4/2025 they sent me to collections for this bill. The company is unprofessional in their communication and I would not recommend them though they did decent work. All they had to do was email back or call regarding the invoice.
