This place has some of the best burgers in town! They have a nice selection of philly cheesesteaks, burgers, and po' boys. It is a small mom and pop kind of restaurant. GLUTEN FREE...YEAH! Traveling from Topeka to OKC, we checked out the Yelp ratings and stopped for a late lunch. We each had the Original Cheesesteak, of which mine was on a gluten free bun. He had fried mushroom, which were great. I had the gluten free fries, cooked in a dedicated fryer. What an absolute treat. The classic cheesesteak is delicious! And there are so many variations, surely to please any palate. My friend had the Buff Chic salad. She said it was very good and had jut the right proportions of all the veggies and chicken. The greens were the good spring mix with spinach and arugula and not just the boring iceberg. We love this place! While the burgers and po-boys are definitely highlights, I want to put in a recommendation for the awesome chef's salad. Loaded with chopped goodies such as Fanestil's party time ham, onions, mushrooms, red peppers, and hard boiled eggs, one order is easily split between two people with possibilities for leftovers. Get the homemade ranch dressing with it. My husband and I try to support local restaurants whenever possible and Do Bees is an excellent example of doing a few things, and doing them really well. read more

Easily the best food in Emporia. The service is great. The staff is always very courteous and appears to really enjoy their work. There are things to keep the kids entertained while your waiting for your food, which for me with a 2 year old is a blessing. But of course, the food is the main attraction. Great burgers, I had the JayHawk burger and it was delicious with a side of onion rings. When we got there the place was packed, which is great sign that this is the place to be. We almost didn't stop-the restaurant building is unremarkable-and actually an old DQ. After driving around Emporia a bit it was clear that it was not going to have lots of options, so reluctantly we went back. The menu is interesting and unique and delicious. We had variations on the chicken steak sandwiches-with our favorite being the hot wing. Our son, a burnt end nut couldn't pass up the burnt-end sandwich. He added fries which were delicious. Been eating burgers for 60 years and this might be the best ever!! Do-B's has the charm of a 50's soda shop with really nice people. But the Jayhawker I ate today was magnificent. I checked to see where I would be around lunchtime as I was going traveling a route that took me through Emporia. I picked Do-B's based on the Yelp review. I knew that I had made a good choice due to the fact that the place was packed and there were about 10 people in line ahead of me. I had the shrimp po-boy and onion rings. It was one of the best sandwiches that I have ever had. The onion rings were also very good. If I ever travel through Emporia again and they are open I will stop by again. Amazing. Worth driving a long way for a place like this. I had burnt end Philly cheese steak and it was delicious - I was skeptical because it's not a BBQ place but it was great. Also tried the normal Philly and it was great too. Fries ok but onion rings and cheese bites were so yummy!!! Another had a salad and I almost wish I had ordered that instead. Homemade dressing and real lettuce. They were Soooooo friendly and great people working there. We were very impressed with our trip to Do-B's this past weekend. I enjoyed a classic cheeseburger that came with two slices of cheese, while my boyfriend decided to try the Hornet burger, which was huge, but greasy. Next time we go, he'd rather try one of their po-boys or philly cheesesteaks. His chili cheese fries were good, as were my pepperjack bites, but both were overpriced at $5.20 and $4.20, respectively. That also did not include the jalopeno that he added to the cheese fries. Definitely the most we've paid for those sides at any place we've been to (minus the chili cheese tot fiasco in KC), and those are our go-to sides. Overall, place was very good, but the price to get anything besides fries, and the over-whelming menu knock it down just a little for us. I'll be happy to go back and get another great burger some other time though. read more

We have spent many years in Anchorage, Alaska and dined religiously at Tommy's Burger Stop, the highest rated burger joint up there for years. We really missed that place. So imagine my great delight to learn that Do-B's was opened in Emporia by a former employee of Tommy's just a long hour down the road from Lawrence, our new landing place. They pretty much transported the menu and care to Do-B's with a midwestern twist and a larger dessert menu. We stop there every time we visit the area. Great food, friendly staff. Been away for about a year, and this was the first place we ate at during a recent visit. We were immediately recognized when we walked in, and everyone was just as friendly as we remembered. The wife got the classic Philly and I had a poboy, both of which were delicious. I've traveled quite a bit for work, and Do B's is still one of the best restaurants I've been to, and hands down the best burger/sandwich place. Fries and onion rings are epic, and the poboys are just as good (if not better) than any I've had in New Orleans or the Gulf Coast. We will definitely be back anytime we are in town! read more

The food here is Awesome. Seriously- best fries I have ever had. I'm a huge fry critic, but the are perfect consistency, perfectly seasoned, just plain tasty. The hamburgers are awesome too, I'm not a huge fan of sandwhiches like phillys, but they are ok. I do like the reuben. Don't bother ordering anything else with it though cause you can't finish it all! they give you sooo much food! But if you can finish it all, order the cheesecake!
