A Must-Try Spot for Snack Lovers! If you're into quick bites and great flavors at affordable prices, this place is a must! The onigiri here is on point and perfectly seasoned with generous meat fillings (unlike a lot of other places that give you mostly rice and barely any meat). You can really taste the quality. I also tried their sesame ice cream so creamy, smooth, and rich. (Imported from Japan) The place is also super clean, which makes the experience even better and the atmosphere is very pleasant and friendly. I stopped by Do-Re-Mi on the first day of their soft opening, June 14th, and tried the Taiwanese Pork Onigiri, Crab Meat Onigiri, and Chrysanthemum Tea. The onigiri is made to order, so it came out warm, fresh, and incredibly delicious! My favorite was the Taiwanese Pork because the minced pork was packed with flavor. I also loved how the seaweed was wrapped separately from the rice using clever packaging that kept it nice and crispy. The wrapper had easy-to-follow directions for opening, which was very helpful since I'd never seen that type of packaging before. The Chrysanthemum Tea was light, refreshing, and just the right amount of sweet--perfect for a warm day. The service was friendly and quick, and overall, the space has a welcoming, cozy vibe. I went back and forth on whether to leave this review, but I think it's worth mentioning in case the hours need to be updated. I've had this place bookmarked for a while and was really excited to finally try it. I love onigiri, the prices seemed affordable, and the reviews are great. It's a bit out of the way for me, so I hadn't had the chance to visit until this past Sunday. I checked the posted hours--which said they were open until 8 PM--and figured I had plenty of time. I arrived around 6:50 PM, but was told the shop was already closed. The staff member working was very kind, and I have absolutely no issue with her. My only concern is that if Sunday hours have changed or if they close early, the posted hours should reflect that. I would never intentionally show up 10 minutes before closing; I've worked customer-facing jobs before and know how frustrating that can be. I also understand that things happen, there could have been an emergency or another reason they closed early. This review is mainly just to give a heads-up that the listed hours might need updating so customers don't make an unnecessary trip. I'd still love to give this place another try if I'm in the area again. For now, I'm just a bit disappointed since I was really looking forward to it, but I have no issues with the staff or the business itself, just the mismatch in hours. read more

I found this place by searching up restaurants in SF that sell onigiris (that are actually affordable) and came across Do-Re-Mi! My friend and I came here very excited to try this new place and I had high hopes after reading all the positive reviews. I ordered the tuna/kimchi/chicken teriyaki and my friend had the tuna/salmon. The service was great as they made your onigiri's fresh by hand (which I LOVED). We made our way over to Dolores Park to munch on them and we both instantly fell in love with the tuna onigiris :D We loved them so much and wanted to try all the other flavors that after the park we headed back to the store to purchase more but this time the crab/pickled radish/garlic beef! I think out of the ones we tried tuna is still my #1 and I would still go back to try the pork. I'm definitely going to become a recurring customer!
