Cute little restaurant with friendly staff. The Cambodian beef skewers were extremely tender and the pickled radish paired really well with it. Everything was well seasoned, but more on the peppery side for the Pad See Ew and broth that came with the Phnom Pehn noodle. The only thing I regret is not ordering more because everything on their specials sounded delicious. In my opinion, the dishes were a bit small so I could have easily ordered more. The prices were decent though so the portion sizes were justifiable.

Super happy with my meal and experience here! There's metered parking and very limited residential parking. The interior is cute. I came on a Tuesday night and the warm lighting was cozy. There was other table seated when I arrived and then just 2 other parties that came after. They had orders picked up for delivery though. Great spot for all types of occasions and a reasonably priced meal. I had an app, entree, soup and dessert for like $60?! (No tip yet) This was the perfect amount for 2 people. The fresh shrimp spring rolls were beautifully presented. Never had the sauce laid underneath the rolls like that before. I definitely need to come back.

Super exciting to see a Cambodian place since most are in the East Bay or Stockton. As someone who grew up with Cambodian food, I would say it tastes like a home cook made it. Not a bad thing if you're looking for homestyle comfort, but I probably could just go to my aunt's house. Beef skewers were yummy but missing that almost caramelized grilled finish that you would find in the beef sticks in Cambodia. Maybe the marinade is too liquidy for that cooking reaction to happen. They were my favorite part of the meal but just missing the extra little something. Beef loc lac was fine but missing wok hei and the distinct black pepperiness that would come from using Kampot pepper. Phnom Penh noodles were a bit disappointing and quite plain (you can get these noodles aka hu tieu nam vang from other Vietnamese/Teochew places in the city). Overall, not a bad neighborhood place and a good intro to Cambodian food so come check it out!

Food 3.75/5 My favorite out of the three dishes we ordered was the beef skewer! Beef skewer has a strong lemongrass flavor layered with pickled carrots/radish underneath. The pad kee mao wasn't spicy and was too oily and too little protein. The phnom pehn noodle by itself wasn't flavorful, def try with the soup. Service 5/5 Everyone here is friendly and work very fast. All of our food came out in less than five minutes. I wished the skewers were grilled to order because you could tell they just heated it up after we ordered. Ambiance 4/5 It is a small restaurant on ocean but packed during dinner time. Lots of light and flower decors and provides a warm dining experience.

We were craving for Thai food. This place has high ratings and we decided to give it a try. We were greeted and seated by a friendly waitress upon entering this casual restaurant. We ordered the Papaya Salad With Grilled Shrimp, Cha Kroeung, Pumpkin Curry, Pad Thai, Loc Lac, Phnom Pehn Noodle, Mango Sticky Rice, and Megan's Roti Ice Cream. Our food came out in a timely manner. The Papaya Salad With Grilled Shrimp and Cha Kroeung were ok. There's nothing special about them. The Pumpkin Curry With Pork, Pad Thai, and Loc Lac were flavorful. The Phnom Pehn Noodle was flavorless, which was our least favorite. The Mango Sticky Rice and Megan's Roti With Coconut Ice Cream were our favorites as well. The restaurant is kind of small with one waitress serving the whole restaurant. When we needed napkins, we had to flag here down. The prices are reasonable and the portions with decent.

Cute little restaurant with nice decor inside, the owners of the restaurant are very sweet providing us with good service. I ordered the loc lac and it was beef sirloin with some veggies on the side. The flavor was amazing, very garlicky and good amount of salt and pepper. I loved that it came with some veggies on the side to balance out the dish.

Solid spot with consistently good food and a relaxed, friendly vibe. We've been here three times and the service has always been warm and welcoming. Standouts for us are the loc lak beef, pumpkin curry with chicken, and shrimp pad thai -- all flavorful and made with fresh ingredients. We tried both soups and they were fine, just not the highlights of the menu. Pro tip: Get the roti with the pumpkin curry instead of just rice. Totally worth it.

It's nice to see more Cambodian places pop up in the city! Albeit this is a Cambodian/Thai restaurant, it has a few noticeable Cambodian dishes such as the phnom pehn noodles, Loc Lac and Khmer salad. Megan's Table takes over where PurTea used to be on Ocean Ave. This is a review of just their takeout/to go, since I didn't have time to dine in when I was in the area. The inside/interior has a contemporary/modern aesthetic with wood accents throughout; exuding a chill and relaxing cafe vibe. The staff that I interacted with was super friendly and helpful in helping decide what to order; unfortunately they didn't have the Phnom Pehn Noodles or Leng Soup available for takeout(not sure what the reason was); so I decided to give their Tom Kha a try. 1) Tom Kha(With Shrimp)(6/10) - A very warm and creamy coconut soup with a slight tang. I did ask to make it spicy, which they have 5 levels of. I went for level 3, which was a comfortable spice level; would definitely go a bit higher next time . There were tons of straw mushrooms + 6 small shrimps; and that was about it. There wasn't any garnishes such as cilantro or green onions. I did end up just cooking my own rice noodles at home to add to the soup to make it more of a meal. It was an okay bowl of Tom Kha - somewhat savory and sweet, coconut forward with a slight hit of sour(barely noticeable) and scent of lemongrass. I do wish them success as there are very few Cambodian spots in the SF area. Will definitely come back another time to give their other dishes a try as their prices seem very reasonable!

3.5 stars Thai tea - thick and strong, really delicious and only a tad too sweet for me Pad kee mao (with tofu) - flavorful and a good portion, but the spice level calibration is off. We got a 2/5 on spice and that will still be enough to burn your tongue. Watch out for this one! Tom kha (with tofu) - this was pretty disappointing. It's basically just the broth with boiled tofu and mushrooms. I was missing all the other veg that usually comes with it, as well as toppings like green onion or cilantro Mango sticky rice - solid, but some of the rice was hard Service was quick and friendly, though you might have to flag someone for water or other asks Bathroom was clean We did have some flies buzzing around our meal, but that might be a location specific issue (when it was Purtea, they had the same problem)

Cambodian Beef Skewers w/ pickled veggies ($12) + Rice ($3)
    Cherylynn N.

3.5 STARS Name alone, I thought this was an American farm-to-table resto, not a Cambodian and Thai resto. While Champa Garden is nearby, the Westwood Park/Ingleside area could def use more funk! Fish funk that is. Opening last month, Megan's Table took over PurTea. It's owned by one Thai family and a Cambodian family. Open for takeout and dine in. No delivery at this time. Small menu of 20 items including dessert. Hope they expand their menu to include harder to find items like Cambodian fish amok and Thai boat noodles. And, maybe even brunchie fusion items on the weekends since there's a lack of brunch spots in Ingleside. F O O D * Cambodian Beef Skewers w/ pickled veggies ($12) + Rice ($3): https://tinyurl.com/yurzk8ak Tender with nice charred edges but wished the lemongrass flavor was stronger and the pickled veggies had more acidic punch. * Loc Lac: Cambodian-style Garlic + Pepper Beef ($15): https://tinyurl.com/yxnan5jd The Cambodian cousin of Viet shaking beef, I really liked the sauteed onions but felt the beef was lacking flavor. Good thing the lime dipping sauce helped. * Mee Ka Tang: Wide Noodles w/ gravy, gai lan, choice of protein (Shrimp-$18): https://tinyurl.com/yc3533r7 Similar to Chinese chow fun with gravy, I liked the fresh, snappy shrimp and crisp gai lan. The gravy could of a dash of fish sauce for flavor. The portion of noodles was quite smaller than the norm. * Roti ($3) It was ok, seems to be a commercial one that was pan-fried. S E R V I C E Staff was very sweet but on the weeknight we visited food took awhile because there was a larger party of 10 inside. The first dish took 35 minutes with the last (3rd dish) arriving in an hour. A M B I A N C E Same casual, cozy vibe and same furnishings as the previous business (PurTea) with about 5-6 tables inside, one table outside, and counter seats. P A R K I N G Residential and metered parking. Overall, Megan's Table has potential. Like others, I felt the portions and flavors need some work. Not sure if it's intentional but it feels they held back on the typical bold, punchy flavors of Thai and Cambodian food to accommodate the American palate. 3.5 stars rounded up for a new local, small business.

**Cambodian Beef Skewers** 5/5 -- MUST ORDER! Probably one of the best skewers I've ever had. It was juicy and charred with just the right about of bite. The marinade shone through without overpowering the beef itself. **Thai Sausage** 4/5 -- Yummy but didn't stand out. **Leng Soup** 4/5 -- I could appreciate it, but definitely not the dish for everyone. Very flavorful and had a nice tang to it. pretty salty for a soup, but good when you sip on it with the pork that comes with it. Probably not ideal if you don't like using your hands/eating off the bone, although the bone did come with a lot of meat. **Pad See Ew** 4/5 -- Solid. It had the right ratio of ingredients and the noodles were chewy, but was missing more wok hei aroma. It was tasty, but I've had better. **Pumpkin Curry with Tofu** 4.5/5 -- Solid, better than most places. Good balance of savory and sweet.

    Leng soup
    Emerson Y.

Leng soup is giant and comes with a lot of meat on the bones. Our order was very salty though, had to order a side of noodles and even then... we will be taking the rest home and adding neutral broth, will be amazing. This was the only downside of the whole and it's still good. Pumpkin curry and mango sticky rice are very flavorful, I do recommend those. Prices are very affordable (I fear they may have to raise prices in the future, like other restaurants in SF), so come quick! We ordered skewers, pumpkin curry, Leng soup, white rice, rice noodles, and mango sticky rice for $59, $75.63 after tax and tip. Feels very worth it. The inside is calm and nice, it strikes a balance between homey, intimate, and classy. The light slow jazz in the background contributes to an unrushed, chill dining ambiance. Service is attentive, nice, and quick. The skewers came out just minutes after ordering and the rest of the food followed before we finished the skewers. We will be back! Here's hoping Megan's Table can keep up the quality as time goes on, they've set the bar high.

Seeing this new spot having so many good reviews, we made a special trip to Ocean Avenue just to try them out! Cute cafe vibes and modern decor, but that's where it ends. Did we order wrong? Did we come on an off day? ***OUR PICKS*** LAAB SALAD ~ spicy and sour ground chicken, salad with roasted rice powder, red onion, fresh herbs. This lacked flavor and moisture that it was just DRY. The meat used was chopped up chicken breast and not "ground" chicken. And there were only a few leaves of lettuce and not enough to call it a true salad. There was more dried meat than vegetables. Maybe a dressing or sauce would help this. 2/5 PAD KEE MAO ~ Spicy wok-fried wide rice noodles, basil, bell pepper, gai lan, cabbage and chicken. The wide rice noodles were broken and didn't have elasticity which is typical for fresh noodles. It was very spicy, but was lacking a depth of flavor. 3/5 THAI FRIED RICE ~ Thai style egg fried rice, tomato, gai lan, onion, and pork. This dish was probably the best among the 3 we ordered. Flavor was good, but can you really screw up fried rice? 4/5 Small portions which is typical for Thai food. But we felt the dishes were missing fish sauce or something to liven the flavor. Disappointed that I couldn't rate this higher to confirm the same experience as others.

It looks random at first but at the same time, very unique. It reminds me of a dive bar for truck drivers from the outside and heading inside, it also gives you that feeling. It's a pretty small restaurant sports bar with majority of the seating being outside. I ordered their Sisig Manila Style, Sizzling Pork Adobo with rice, Lumpia Sampler, Calamari, and Ube Cheesecake for dessert. The Sisig is our favorite pick because it's fatty with that nice sizzling taste and texture. It's bold with a good flavor and pairs nicely with the runny egg. This dish is a must. The adobo was just ok. Honestly, it wasn't my type of adobo and was too watery, thin, and slightly bland. It just tasted like watered down soy sauce and light vinegar over shredded pork meat. The calamari was a big portion and went great with the garlic aioli sauce. I also didn't like the lumpia's. The lumpia was soggy and way too bland with little filling. It didn't have that authentic taste to them which was a bummer. I'd avoid this sampler. We thoroughly enjoyed their Ube cheesecake though! It was sweet, tasty, and had a nice cream cheese texture. The makapuno coconut shreds paired great with the cheesecake and made it so unique. We'd definitely order this again. Overall, I thought it was just ok. I listened to the hype and yes, it was too much. For those that aren't Filipinos or didn't grow up having authentic homemade Filipino food, you could tell the difference. It's almost as if the dishes are "Americanized" and lacks the real ingredients in the dishes. Alberto is the best! My friend and I strolled into Original Joe's Westlake on a Wednesday evening…read moreto grab dinner, drinks, dessert, and watch the Mexico vs. Czechia game. Thanks to Alberto and the entire team, we had the best time, food, and overall experience. Even though the restaurant was incredibly busy--packed with people and with guests constantly walking in throughout the evening--Alberto never made us feel forgotten. He thoughtfully checked in on us, got everything to us in a reasonable amount of time, and was incredibly patient as I asked questions about different menu items. He even let us know that, although he was busy, we should simply flag him down if we needed anything at all. At establishments like this that have such a high volume of customers, I honestly don't expect service like this. I expect long waits and to spend half the evening trying to find my server. Not Alberto, though. He was kind, professional, helpful, and knowledgeable from beginning to end. As for the food, I had the Pilsner and Joe's Filet of Sole, my friend had the Golden Ale and Joe's Eggplant Parmigiana, and we shared the butter cake with ice cream for dessert. Everything was chef's kiss, including the bread and butter! I would absolutely come back just for the service from Alberto. Five stars, always. You can never go wrong with Original Joe's, and Alberto made an already great experience even better.
